UDPDATE: We had Ryan upgrade our pool equipment. We’re running with more efficiency & a less cluttered space. He was very knowledgeable, communicated well and followed through every step of the way. He is still very responsive to calls/texts/emails. Definitely recommend!

These guys are the best! Replaced a control board for us. Very responsive, friendly, patient explaining how things work, and took care of us troubleshooting a problem too! It's so nice to partner with a local, family business and get excellent customer service! Highly recommend!!

Excellent, courteous and efficient staff. I buy a solid amount to chemicals consistently from Simpson’s. Every time I’m in and out quickly and they even help carry the items to my truck.

I had an issue with my jacuzzi, and Ryan was kind enough to give me advice how to fix the issue without needing to come over. Its nice to have an honest owner who is helpful to his clients. I didn't realize his company also sells supplies, so going there this weekend to buy supplies thanks to his help.

I used to go to Leslie’s pool and felt like every time I went in they tried to sell me something. I came to Simpson pool & spa because of an issue I was having and no one could help me figure out. They were able to resolve the issues I had and get my pool in the correct direction. Very very knowledgeable and now pushy salesmen. The best part of the whole experience was they didn’t sell me any chemicals and explained everything to me. Great company and love that it’s a local company!

I have been using Simpson pool and spa since we bought our house 7 years ago. Any time I have had an issue Ryan the owner has helped me get it resolved. Including a new variable speed pump, filter after my old one cracked, Light replacement, and Plumbing to repair a pesky leak in after the filter. He has even given me advice for making my own repairs when needed. His prices are fair, probably not the cheapest but I cant say for sure, as i have never felt the need to shop him around. If you are looking for a pool company, ask yourself do you want the cheapest guy in town, or one who you can count on for a fair price.

We are very satisfied with Simpson Pool & Spa. They've done a great job keeping our pool looking fantastic for the past 8 years. When pool equipment breaks or isn't working right, they are responsive and quick in making the repairs. They also do equipment upgrades, and are very professional and honest in making recommendations and explaining the advantages and disadvantages. Prices are reasonable for regular service and repairs.

Do not use Simpson Pool Service! We used them for 4 months at their highest level of service. The first time our pool went green I texted (Thursday morning) and was told we'll take care of it on Monday's service call. I knew I couldn't wait that long so I bought chemicals, shocked pool, swept sides and ran filter. The second time it went green, I observed the service call. Technician entered my backyard at 9:49am and left at 9:52am. He didn't even bring a brush or chemicals with him. He didn't notice the robot wasn't moving (stick caught inside) or the algae in the pool. I texted the owner to report the inadequate service and he was angry with me for asking for the service I was paying for. There are plenty of pool companies, use another one.

Above and beyond! I called Simpson Pool and Spa because I was having issues with my salt chlorinator. Upon hearing over the phone what my issue was, Ryan took it upon himself to call Jandy, talk to their technician and then proceeded to give me Jandy's phone number so I could deal with them directly, so that he would save me from having to pay for their (Simpson's) service call. The Jandy technician was able to solve my issue, and Ryan at Simpson Pool and Spa has earned my respect. I will be calling them for future problems with my pool.

Simpson Pool and Spa is the best pool service company I have used. They are very responsive and very knowledgeable.
They know the right amount of chemicals needed and they are here every Thursday. My pool has never looked better since they started servicing it. I highly recommend them for all your pool services here in San Diego County.

Ryan and Joe do a great job of maintaining our pool. I've used Ryan for close to 10 years and have always been impressed. Ryan is super-responsive whenever I reach out to him with a question. I've contacted him on weekends, evenings, etc. and he's responded within minutes every time. He will provide you with the most efficient and affordable options if something needs to be fixed or updated and I appreciate those options. He has always been upfront and honest with me about all of his pool services. I highly recommend them. They are everything you are looking for in a great service company - upfront, knowledgeable, hardworking and fair.

Simpson Pool and Spa did a great job fixing our pool/spa heater. Kevin came out, found the problem, and quickly fixed our heater. He was friendly and I appreciated him taking the time to explain everything. He also went out of his way to provide a contact to help us with our built in slide.

I've had a very positive experiences working with Ryan. I called him because my pool stopped pumping water. He was booked out two weeks for repairs. Rather than end the call he helped diagnose the problem over the phone. I tried his ideas and called him back 20 minutes later to let him know what I found. He actually answerdd my call sepote the fact that it was after 6pm and helped me diagnose the rest of the problem. He suspected there may have been air being sucked into the system and had me move a valve to isolate the problem. Thanks to his directions I inspected the floating leaf catcher and indeed discover that the gasket was folded over itself and leaking air. I reset the gasket and fixed the problem. Ryan managed to solve this problem over the phone at no cost. This isn't the first time he's saved me time and money. A year before my pool controller was coming on in the middle of the night for apparently no reason. I had picked up a hard to find used replacement controller to solve the problem only for the same problem to come back a year later. Ryan informed me that the system is designed to come on automatically when the temperature gets too low. Sure enough it was a cold winter night. What I thought was a bug n the system was in fact a feature. Once again his knowledge kept me from replacing the entire system. I buy my chemicals and supplies from Ryan as a way to pay him something for the valuable insight he has provided. So nice to have personal service in this day and age. Thanks Ryan!

My filter pump had stopped moving water. Simpson came recommended by our neighbors. Ryan was troubleshooting with me over email, and when that didn't succeed, set up an appointment with their repair technician Kevin. He was able to get the pump going again by replacing the capacitor. Happy they worked to repair the existing pump instead of trying to sell me a new one.

Ryan knows his stuff! I have several components in a four-pump system that failed due to age. My original Jandy pool company went out of business. I'm impressed that Ryan wanted pics and talked to me at length about my needs to avoid charging me for a needless service call. He knows specifics about HP ratings, etc based on obvious experience. Strongly recommend!

Simpson Pool and Spa recently did a re-plumb on our pool. The work was completed timely and professionally. How the re-plumb was completed provided us with access to value so future work could be completed easily. The plumbing was also done very neatly. I would highly recommend Simpson Pool and Spa for service and repair. They are competitively priced, responsive and do very good work. It’s a pleasure doing work with Simpson Pool & Spa.

We have a 20+ year old pool that needed a whole new pump system and complete renovation. After working with a few other pool companies and other pool guys and still not getting the right information as to why our pool was draining into the street I reached out to Simpson Pool & Spa through a friend's recommendation. It's wise to have someone that knows what they are doing service your pool or spa to make sure chemical balance is correct and to keep an eye on the pool equipment function to avoid having potential costly problems. We hired Simpson Pool & Spa to install a new control system and salt system for our pool. The pros at Simpson did a fantastic job with the install and even found a few issues with the existing plumbing and electrical that was corrected for very little cost. Simpson's was very professional, on time, reasonably priced and even followed up with us several times to make sure everything was working to satisfaction.
