We found out during our remodel that our fireplace needed to be replaced. It wasn't part of initial construction plan. Bernie worked with us to get it done during our construction schedule without any disruptions. He made the entire process seamless and simple.

We replaced our gas fireplace with an electric one and Burnie Fireplace Services removed our old flue and put a rain cap at the top of our chimney.
From our first communication through installation, this company was so professional and thoughtful. Although I lived a greater distance than they normally travel, they chose to work with me and I couldn't be more appreciative. They were very communicative, on time, and their work is clearly top notch. They took before, during, and after photos to share what they were doing (as this was difficult to see with it being on our roof) and we were very impressed. We will definitely be giving them more business in the future and sharing our wonderful experience with others who might need it. Below are the before and after photos of our chimney.

I was having problems with my gas fireplace and needed my dryer vent cleaned so I called Burnie and they answered right away.
Appointment was scheduled at a reasonable time.
Technicians arrived promptly and were very professional.

We had Burnie Fireplace Services come to our home to install a "Fire & Ice" type gas burner. As a part of the visit they conducted a full review of our chimney including the area on the roof where the chimney comes out of the roof. The technician spotted and documented a problem on the roof that we were not aware of and that could have quickly caused a leak the next time we had rain. We decided to have Burnie Fireplace Services come back out to fix the problem. They showed up on time, did a thorough and quality job, cleaned up after themselves and documented the repairs with additional photos. I was completely satisfied with the work and highly recommend Burnie Fireplace Services.

I had a really disappointing experience with Burnie Fireplace Services and feel obligated to share.

They came out for an inspection and handed me a report claiming multiple issues, including that my chimney cap was missing and that the fireplace had safety concerns that would require repairs and fabrication work.

Something didn’t sit right, so I had a second reputable company come out. They physically went up on the roof and did a full inspection. Their conclusion: everything looked fine — and there IS a chimney cap in place.

That second technician was pretty direct and said the original findings sounded like an upsell.

I’m not someone who leaves negative reviews lightly, but this felt misleading. At minimum, the inspection was inaccurate. At worst, it felt like an attempt to create unnecessary work.

I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any repairs or upgrades suggested by this company.

Burnie's team was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. I had a complicated issue with my "Chase" replacement, but no match for the Burnie's. They were able to solve the issue and get me a new chase installed (see before and after). Very grateful and I highly recommend this team.

We had a wonderful experience with Burnie's when we decided to remove one fireplace which was preventing us from fully using our garage. They did a beautiful job, were quick, professional, clean and the price was very reasonable. Not only was my Fireplace insert replaced, but the entire flue system, the crown cap, and chimney cap had to be replaced! Everything was perfect. GroutPro was recommended to me by a close friend. The one regret I have is that I didn't call sooner. GroutPro changed the color of the grout in the kitchen counters and sealed a cracked tile and it looks like a brand new counter top. Charlie also caulked a bathtub for me. He is very knowledgeable, very professional and his services are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend GroutPro.

Charlie was prompt and direct. After contemplating a whole bathroom remodel due to grout damage, I called around and got some advice. There are big players around town that will seal the shower, but I went with Charlie and glad I did. He fixed the broken grout and sealed it. His price was very reasonable and he was very professional.

Charlie is the consummate professional. He provided an estimate for restoring my tile grout in the kitchen (gray tile and grout) and bathrooms (white tile and grout). He also recommended re-caulking around the toilet because the white caulk was discolored. He explained his process, answered questions, provided a more-than-reasonable price (payment by cash or check), and set up an appointment. He is in high demand, so the appointment was five weeks out (and he is well worth waiting for!)
He showed up on-time. He cleaned the floors first. Then, he re-tinted the grout (he is a master at mixing colors to come up with the right color - and did several mixes and samples on the grout for me to choose from). Finally, he sealed the grout. He is a craftsman and has incredible attention-to-detail. The result is that all the floors look brand new!

We hired this company because our upstairs shower was leaking. After having our shower re-caulked and resealed, the leaking stopped and we have never had a problem since. This saved me thousands of dollars. In fact, later on we had some new floor tile put in another bathroom so I hired Groutpro to seal the tile and because I was so pleased with the initial service in our upstairs shower, I had them re-caulk and seal the shower in that bathroom as well. I am very pleased with both jobs. I highly recommend this company.

Highly recommended! Charlie did a fantastic job with my master bath shower tile. I'm replacing my glass enclosure and the tile/grout needed work. So I had the glass removed first and called Charlie to restore the tile and grout. He showed up on time and worked non-stop for about 5 hours. The results far exceeded my expectations and it literally looks like new!

Don't waste your time, Charlie is very unprofessional. I reached out to Charlie and scheduled an appointment with him. 30 minutes past our appointment, I reached out to him to confirm if he was still confirming and he admitted he had forgotten and he was already home and unwilling to come. I had to follow up with him several times to reschedule; yes, he put the onus on the customer and didn't hold any professional accountability even though he was the one that missed the appointment. I question why I even tried so hard... but when he finally got here, he provided a quote and left. I followed up with him because I had questions about the grout color and the scope of the project. He had told me he was available for this job on 2/20. I texted him and called him, leaving him a voicemail, prior to 2/20. Never again heard from him. I was never rude to him or anything; this guy has zero accountability and zero professionalism.

Don't waste your time. There are plenty of other Grout restoration companies and they are very responsive and professional.

Our 15 year old bathroom white tile was in great shape (a few loose tiles) but the discolored grout made the bathrooms look dated and dinghy. We contemplated remodeling but the cost was too high for all three bathrooms. We found GroutPro as an alternative and it turned out to be the best decision. Huge improvement and incredible value compared to remodeling. The bathrooms look like new(see pictures). For a job like this you need someone detailed oriented and methodical. GroutPro is all of this and extremely professional and cleaned up at the end of every day. Highly recommend!
