After extensive research on pool replastering and inquiring with several companies for quotes, I ended up choosing Dave with Trinity Pools for our pool remodel. Dave was very friendly and professional throughout the process. He also was not trying to upsell anything as he provided us many different options and explained the differences between each style of plaster/pebble. We ultimately decided on a mini pebble tec finish with amazing tiles that match our backyard perfectly thanks to Dave's suggestion.

Compared to other quotes I received, Dave was very affordable and his team was extremely experienced and fast. You can tell they put a lot of effort to make the customer happy for the long-run. Dave was also very helpful after the pool was done and answered all my questions immediately. I highly recommend Trinity Custom Pools.

If you are looking to have your pool redone, Trinity Pools is the place to call. we received our quote quickly and the work began a week later. the crews come out in full force and demobbed our pool in one day. they clean up everything after each step in the process. David is reliable and answered every one of my million questions. we couldn't be happier see our before and after photos.

I called Trinity after getting a quote for new pool plaster/pebble, tile, and lights from another company. Dave scheduled an appointment for the next day and showed up 5 minutes early. Dave brought many photos of past work and product samples to choose from. Trinity's quote was considerably less and I am so happy I decided to go with Trinity. The whole project was completed in less than two weeks. Dave was excellent about communicating with me and explaining each step of the project and confirming when his crews would arrive. The pool looks wonderful and I whole-heartedly recommend Trinity Custom Pools.

David came out to inspect our pool is a super timely manner. He was super polite and I really appreciated his honesty. I would definitely work with him again.

I was looking for a company to re-plaster, my pool, clean tile and install new lights (two). Prior to contacting Trinity, I had already had four other companies come out and give me an estimate. I called Trinity after seeing the reviews. When Dave got here, he looked at my pool and gave me an estimate, which included cleaning my tile and new colored lights. He was cheaper then all four of my previous estimates. The others tried to nickle and dime me, by charging more for the tile cleaning and the lights. Since I already knew how much the lights cost, I was truly surprised, that Dave didn't up the the price on me. He was done in 14 days. My pool looks beautiful and I could not be happier. The only negative, (probably me more that anything,) was that at times, he did not call, when he promised to do so. All in all, great guy and company. Highly recommend him if you are looking for your pool needs.

We were blessed to have found Trinity pools. I can’t say enough good things. If you want someone who is honest knowledgeable with years of experience call Trinity pools. Within 2 weeks our pool was re-plastered and beautiful. The price was more than fair. David was a true blessing.

Trinity pools is great and Dave is absolutely amazing and a pleasure to do business with. He got straight to the point and made me feel safe doing business with him. I had gotten multiple quotes (7) and he was the only one that didn’t try and up charge me for things that come standard when remodeling a pool. He always returned my calls quickly and answered any(even pretty dumb) questions me or my family had. This is our first pool and our first remodel and I’m glad that we had Dave and trinity pools on our side. The pool looks and feels great and definitely exceeded our expectations when it came to the results and the smoothness of the whole process. 10/10 would recommend.

They saved me the hassle of having to deal with a rebate process and made the entire experience stress-free. Within just two days, they removed and hauled away my old heater, installed the new one, and even sent me a video showing how to operate it.

David and Renee, the owners, may run a small business, but they operate with the professionalism and responsiveness of the best in the industry. I highly recommend them for any pool needs!

Trinity custom pools personal Dave is very responsive with Quote, help in suggesting colors of coping, tiles and stonecape finish. He was always on top of his project. Had a concern he was there. Estimate was in line and glad that we used Trinity custom pool. Would use Dave and Trinity custom pool again.

Horrible work quality and costumer service. I hired this company to Replaster my pool and added a baja. The tiles started to fall off two months after they finished the work. They came and fix them once. The tiles kept falling off, i have called several times leaving messages to please call me back but no luck. The lady that answered the phone is very rude and short. Last time I talked to her she told me she didn't had time to explain to me what could be wrong with my pool that she was going to have Dave returned my call. The compound they used to attached the tiles to the pool never cured. Every time the tiles fall off the material is still wet like play dough. This service was not cheap. We work hard for our money and to have this type of costumer service is really sad. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Our pool remodel turned out amazing!!! Dave is such a pleasant and honest guy. The communication was on point and I was thoroughly updated on every step of the process. Dave has been in the business a long time and you can really sense his passion and experience. He will be my go-to guy for pool related issues going forward.

Trinity is by far the best pool remodeling and builder in socal. They are a grassroots, family owned business and treat you like you’re a part of theirs. Not only did they build us a beautiful pool, they even threw in little surprise additions for the kids. Even years later when the sun had done its damage on our slide they came back and resurfaced it for our daughter’s party, free of charge. They are that kind of business! You will not be disappointed in their customer service and care!

Where do I start!? I dreamed of a pool for our little girls to grow up with, never thinking it would be a real possibility. I called around for 2-3 months, spoke with so many local Pool contractors, it came down to two very competitive quotes but what swayed my decision at first was what Trinity was including in their quote, higher quality pool build materials without trying to give me basic materials and then up-sell it later, for example basic concrete coping vs travertine/marble coping, basic white or dyed plaster vs stonescapes mini pebble, full phone automation, etc.

I knew I was getting a better deal with Dave and Trinity Custom Pools, I just didnt know how great of a deal in terms of service, flexibility, communication and just pleasure to work with him and his team.

My review is as fair and honest as I can be, no company is perfect but from start to finish Dave and his company Trinity Custom Pools has been amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone.

I will highlight all the Pros and a few of the areas for improvement, feel free to ask me any questions as well.

Pros:

+ Trinity Custom pools is a small family owned business, you get more attention to detail and direct communication from Dave the owner.
+ All his sub contractors are friendly and do great work, some of them go above and beyond to make sure you are completely happy with their work.
+ Pricing and materials used are much better then average pool builders
+ Davids Customer service is exceptional and always replies quickly
+ They did their best to hit their 3 month deadline, I believe they would have made it but due to the holidays it was missed, besides who needs a pool in the middle of winter, we were in no rush :)
+ Trinity custom pools does more remodels then new constructions, if you are lucky enough to get them to a new build for you, youll be super happy you did!

Room for improvement:

- Just wish some of the subcontractors would say hello and let you know they are here to work on the yard, they kinda just show up and most dont ever let you know they have arrived or are leaving.
- Leonard is the first POC when quoting out the pool, he's a great guy and also very helpful, but there is a slight akward transition between him and Dave at a certain point in the project, so one is used to texting or calling Leonard and then at a certain point he directs you more towards asking Dave for changes or approvals, not a huge deal but just wasn't sure who did what for a bit.
- Be onsite as much as possible, I work from home often so luckily was available to clarify small details about the project and go out to talk to the sub contractors when something didnt look right or make sense, but I would say just be on top of those details as Dave isn't onsite to baby-sit everything.
- Plumber left knowing there was a minor leak on my gas meter, I was a little surprised by that, as the rest of his work seemed to be very detailed.
- Choice for pool finish (mini pebble) wasn't very thorough, wish Dave would take his customers to a show room or take to a few different finished pools to view in person so we can make a more informed decision, luckily the tropics blue mini pebble that he pushed for is gorgeous and matches our pool colors perfectly, but still would be nice to make a more informed decision.

Please dont misunderstand my comments for the "areas that need improvement", I would still recommend them 100%, the pictures I attach speak for themselves.

If you are still searching for the right pool company to remodel or renovate your pool, STOP! You have stumbled upon the best pool company with Trinity Custom Pools and Dave in my humble opinion. My pool had been empty for two years and only getting worse as time passed. I originally attempted to call several pool companies and either never received a call back or they were no show appointments for viewing my pool and giving me a quote. The pool companies that did show up to bid on renovating my pool were giving me quotes from low end of the scale to the high end and I was not feeling comfortable or confident with any of them! They seemed to have a set script and weren't listening to what I wanted. So I let time pass hoping I would find someone who would give me a reasonable quote and who I felt would actually do what they say they would do and not make excuses if something went wrong. I was talking to a friend about my dilemma and he gave me a very strong recommendation to call Trinity Custom Pools and schedule an appointment with Dave! Dave showed up looked at my sorry looking pool and asked what I wanted to have done to it. Two hours later he gave me a verbal quote and said to call him when I was ready to start and I'd get the contract at that time.

I called him a few weeks later and set up the schedule. He worked with me to have the schedule work with my previous commitments. It turned out beautiful! Better than I expected. Dave was here through the whole project making sure each step met with my approval. No it exceeded it !!!! I am so happy with how it turned out. Called my friend and thanked him for the wonderful advise. Now go ahead and give Trinity Custom Pools a call. I'm sure glad I did!

WOW!!! I don't usually do reviews because no one's ever done work good enough for me to take my time to do it. When I came to this site and I saw some of the reviews that people have posted about Dave and his company at Trinity pools I was blown away. I had the total opposite experience with him. Dave's knowledge and expertise about the pool business was Way beyond anything I've heard. If you're looking and getting quotes for your pool I would give Dave a call it's not about being cheap it's about the quality and the professionalism and quality that him and his crew bring was amazing. Seriously every day that that crew left they cleaned it better than it was when they got there. Trinity pool took an ice or that I had in the backyard and made it modern and inviting again. Thanks again Dave and I don't know what happened with those last customers but I know it wasn't you or your crew.

I reached out to Dave after having 2 friends recommend him. his quote was very competitive compared to the other quotes i got.
I wanted to replaster my pool. My old plaster was dingy and discolored and starting to wear thin in places. I knew i wanted to upgrade from plaster to Mini Pebble. I know its more up front, but in the long run its a savings with the long life span, plus its looks so much nicer.
I gave Dave the green light on a Thursday, by Monday we were already draining the pool. a few days later his demo crew came in and removed all the plaster and hauled it away. Within about a week the guys were back, laying the Pebble down. start to finish he was less than 4 weeks before my pool was full of water again, which I thought was really quick. Dave even thru in some extras for me that were not part of the original quote which added to the pools look which was very kind of him. He even came out Thanksgiving morning to acid wash the pool so we could start filling it right away.
Dave was a pleasure to work with, great communication all along the way thru the process. funny guy with good stories. His guys were great as well. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves and hard workers.

I have an older pool that was having some valve issues. I got several quotes and Dave with Trinity broke down the issue, gave me some good options and a fair price. His crew worked fast, was very professional and the job turned out great. I would not hesitate to use Trinity in the future. Class act.

What a great experience dealing with trinity pools. Everyone was friendly and helped me decided the best action for my 50+ year old pool. It turned out AMAZING and better than I could have imagined.
