Home Services reviews in Riverside, California

The indoor decor was beautiful. I just didn't like how some items had no price tags. This nursery has a lot of potential if they bring in more plants that flower and / or place umbrellas over them so they don't scorch during summer. Other than that, it is a cute nursery to check out.

Whenever we come to Riverside my wife always wants to go to Louie's. They always have a large selection of plants, trees, soil, and soil amendments at fairly decent prices. The staff is so very helpful. I just wish they had a larger selection of vegetable plants for my garden.

Bought a plant and of course it died soon after, they claim they provide no refunds. I do not trust them at all. My mother B day gift plant ruined. I am avoiding this place for rest of my life and will share my experience with everyone I know.

I'm new to the area and was hoping to find my new favorite neighborhood nursery. Unfortunately that's not what happened.
Good selection but best for folks who don't need help or info about the plants of interest or to feel their business is valued. I bought a gorgeous money tree but felt the staff I encountered didn't want to be bothered with my questions about how to care the plant. It wasnt busy with only one customer at the counter. This was my second visit and I found the people so unfriendly that I won't return. You might as well go to a big box chain for this kind of service and save a few bucks.
I like to feel good about where I spend my money and that was definitely not the vibe with this place. -
One of the best nursery’s I’ve been too . Great customer service , great workers …. I was able to find what I was looking for with the great help from their workers

Loads of options, helpful staff that usually knows the answers buy if not readily asks. Gets busy but things move quick. Came for my free Riverside tree and then found veggies, flowers and succulents.

Very well stocked with large variety plants, pottery of every size and color, all your planting/gardening needs. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I had Juanita help me she is very knowledgeable and the team is wonderful. They have a great selection!!
I recommend Louie’s nursery :) -
By far the nicest nursery I’ve been to in the IE.
Im currently collecting avocado trees. They have the best selection anywhere within 50 miles.
Their trees aren’t as cheap as HD or most other nurseries. But they have just about every of the even semi popular Like 3 different Hass varieties and the list builds Kona, Gem, Gwen,Holiday. And these trees are for the most part $59 for 5 gallon size. But 3 to 4 times larger than an equivalent HD size pots. Base of 5 gallon size around an inch diameter nice stout trunks. Almost the size of a typical 15 gallon size. Picture of my friend with my new Pinkerton tree. -
Very close to 4 stars. In fact, I'm changing the rating to 4 stars. Employees are helpful and very friendly, there is a wide selection of products to peruse, and delivery options are available when checking out.
Seasonality may negatively influence the condition of (some) plants, therefore I feel it would be unfair to fully attribute fault to nurseries for less-than-perfect foliage; the current excessive heat wave doesn't make things easier!
When browsing the nursery, I encountered difficulty reading the tags affixed to some plants. I tried circling tags in the attached example. While walking down one of the aisles, the path became increasingly narrow, and I nearly slipped down a small slope. I blame myself for not seeing it sooner; perhaps the walkable space isn't an intended aisle?
Regarding tools, the selection was not very diverse. The good news, is that general use tools (shovels, rakes, etc) are available for purchase. The bad news, however, is that the tools are priced higher than comparable alternatives (purchasable elsewhere). It only makes sense, larger entities usually have the flexibility to charge less for general items. If you're willing to pay a small premium to support local businesses, purchase the tools you need while here. Otherwise, I would recommend optimizing your budget to acquire as many beautiful plants for your projects as possible. -
It’s always a pleasure to stroll through the nursery and admire the wide variety of plants. However, the prices were surprising—surpassing even Roger’s in Newport Beach. Jungle Jack plumerias were nearly $80-100 higher than at other nurseries of the same size, and even small to medium succulents were priced at $25😱

Can't say enough good things about this place. Incredibly well organized so you can find everything you are looking for, and it's beautiful while you are doing it. The staff is always super helpful and very knowledgeable, which makes coming here fun and productive. Special thanks to Riley for helping me with a bunch of random hunt downs! Love coming here and will continue to keep coming back.

Louie's nursery sells diseased fruit trees and they know it. I bought 2 pear trees from them 2 seasons apart. One was one year ago, then another one beginning of this year. Both trees suffered fire blight and died shortly after planting. I thought after the first one died, maybe another one would be good, but no, both died from Fire blight. This disease is not curable; you just have to keep pruning the affected branches to maybe save the tree. But a new young tree barely has any branches. So both trees died and they were not cheap; they are about $70 each. I am sure they knew it was infected and also Dave Wilson the producer knew because those trees came from a parent tree who is for sure infected with fire blight. Shame on both of them Louies' and Dave wilson for selling diseased trees.
