I hired Sunny Builders Group to do my pool decking, artificial turf, retaining walls and some pavers.
The guys showed up on time every day and did a perfect job.

The Sunny Builders team just finished my driveway reconstruction. The job, including demo, root removal, drain installation, and pavers in the driveway and walkways was done within two weeks! The workers were professional and diligent. The cleanup was perfect and now I have a beautiful new driveway that’s the envy of Encinitas! Sunny Builders Group did an amazing job at transforming our neglected Otay Ranch backyard hill into something we can enjoy by building our keystone retaining wall. They took our original idea and gave us different options for better functionality and cheaper cost.

We met with multiple companies to find the right contractors for our project and, even though they weren't the cheapest, they more than impressed us in the initial meeting to make it easy to move forward with them. Sunny and Sharon made sure we were happy each step of the way and were there throughout the construction as well as the end, putting in final touches to ensure we were more than satisfied with the final product.

We look forward to working with them in the future on other possible renovations!

Our family hired Sunny Builders Group to re-build a retaining wall in our backyard and remodel the surrounding area. We originally chose Sunny builders because, out of all the contractors we consulted with, Sunny's team not only had a competitive estimate, but they were the only company to take the time to explain the process step-by-step. We were impressed with their professionalism and high quality standards. They completed a big job for us and took out a large dirt bank, added a 50' retaining wall, turf, concrete stairs and a built in concrete BBQ. The team was in communication with us through each step of the process. The project came out better than we imagined and we look forward to working with them again in the future.

The job for my house was a remodeling of the front and back yards and demo-ing and reinstalling the driveway.
I worked with Bar and Kim and they were fantastic. Kim headed the design and Bar was mostly construction, but also had great input in design as well. They were always punctual and were able to work within my available hours.
I don't have a strong sense of design, but Kim was great about asking my thoughts or building a design around what I did like. She knew what questions to ask to help make sure I like what I picked and I never felt uncomfortable communicating if there was something I didn't like, she never steamrolled her designs over me. Due to an unforseen and immediate family matter, she had to take time away about half way through the project, but as soon as she was back, she let me know and made her self available for any further questions I had.
Bar was great managing this project, was extremely plesant in addressing any and all concerns and had them all seen to. Was very accountable for what was happening at the job site. It was very easy working with him.
The crew of guys working working on a daily basis were clean and very kind and professional. They came around 7:30am to about 5pm mon-sat. They ensured the job got done and at a very quick pace.
The price was definitely not the cheapest estimate, but they work they do is higher quality and guaranteed for longer than the other companies I looked to.
The only area for improvement would be communication on things like when the water might be turned off. They had to reroute a water line and when the irrigation system was installed, the water to the house was turned off and I didn't know until I got home, that would have been nice to know before hand. It always came back on before they left the job, but I would have planned different had I known it would be off.
Even as the job is finished they've frequently let me know if there is anything else that needs touching up or addressing, they would be happy to come out and see to it.

I got lot of estimates and did pretty good research and found these guys.
Not too many reviews but was so happy to chose them .
They seemed to do a good job.
David was very honest.
They also didn't try to up-sell me on any additional services.

I don’t have much experience in construction and sunny builders was amazing experience, we had a lot to do in the front yard with the big space we have and they led us through the process and helped us design it.
I got multiple offers from different companies and after reviewing them I decided to hire them for their honesty and high standard scope of work.
We are super satisfied and would highly recommend them to anyone.

This was our first major home remodel. Sunny and Sharon were the 3rd contractors we interviewed but both my husband and I felt instinctually that Sunny Builders was the group we wanted to go with. Sunny and Sharon were the first contractors we felt brought really great ideas to our design. They told us what was feasible with our backyard, and made suggestions for changes and improvements.

Communication: We were out of town when demolition started on the yard. Sunny would text us photos of the demolition progress and let us know if any issues came up or any changes needed to be made.
We had initially agreed on a certain height for the retaining wall, but before they finalized the wall, they let us know their suggestion to raise the height by another brick to remain level with the ground behind the wall, which we completely agreed with and were glad that they suggested the idea.

Build: We had some issues with grading and drainage in our yard prior to this project. The builders were able to adjust the grading and reroute all the drainage so that we no longer have pools of water collecting in our yard. We have a long side yard that we don't access frequently, so rather than spending extra for more pavers, they repurposed the old flagstone pavers that were previously in our yard. Also, our back wall that they were aligning the border pavers with wasn't exactly straight, so the builders actually trimmed the border pavers to make the rest of the pavers appear straight. I appreciate their attention to detail in these aspects!

Design: We had some ideas about our yard, and Sunny and Sharon let us know what would be feasible and what they felt would look good and be easy to maintain. In the end, I completely agreed with all their choices. They also seemed to instinctively know our particular styles. They gave us a catalogue to select the different paver stones from, and suggested the black onyx border. They gave us tips on which pavers would look good in the long term and which pavers would require maintenance (i.e. maintaining a coating). They also suggested lighting under the retaining wall cap (which I absolutely loved), and even installed the electrical for free. Sharon showed us how we could even install more lighting once we made that decision in the future.

Contract: When we signed the contract with Sunny and Sharon, they went over how to check for contractor licensing, detailed the cost breakdown, and reviewed a timeline for the project. They went over what each portion of the project would cost and what would be included. We felt that they were very thorough in their explanation, and made us feel comfortable in asking questions and making suggestions.

Overall: It such a pleasure to work the Sunny and Sharon on this project. They made us feel comfortable on our first major home project. Sunny and Sharon are very personable and open communicator, and I loved their ideas for our yard.

I had the pleasure of working with Sunny Builders Group for the front section of my house. For this project, I didn't have too many ideas so I appreciated the professional opinions and input Sunny and Sharon provided me. Both of them really took their time in going over all the details. They also provided a 3D model which really helped me envision the final product. I had to approve the 3D design before they could start. Throughout, the project, I would have questions, and small changes I wanted to be made to certain sections of the project and Sunny and Sharon were always prompt in replying and supporting my requests. I really appreciated their reassurance and open communication. I've worked with other contractors who became unresponsive after the contract was signed, so it was refreshing to have Sunny and Sharon check in throughout the entire progress to ensure that I was happy with the outcome. When meeting them, they constantly reminded me that they would make sure I was 100% satisfied with the project before any payment was made and they really meant it. Even on the final day, they checked all the parts of the project to make sure there were no errors or faulty construction. My front yard has been transformed and I know this project also increased the value of my home. I use to feel ashamed of my front yard, and now I feel happy and proud looking and walking through it. I will definitely be calling Sunny Builders Group for my next project and giving their information to my friends and family. I've attached images for reference. You will not regret your decision.

My wife wanted to renovate the guest bathroom for long time now and I was searching for contractors and called a few, got some quotes and even though their quote wasn’t the lowest one I still felt more confident with Sunny builders group.
They started the project on Monday and finished the following week on Thursday, 10 days total and they were out.
They added new window, did some wood backsplash, penny tiles on the floor and classic walk in shower .
The result is wow! My wife and I love it!
The guys worked clean and were super polite and friendly.

We worked with SBG to build a new colored concrete walkway with steps to our front porch, with an additional path to the side gate. The challenges were taming steep elevations and insuring the final product looked like it was always part of our 1931 Spanish Revival home. We had a good idea what we wanted, with plenty of pictures to share and a specific address of another walkway near Balboa Park we wanted to model. Our project manager visited that address before starting our project to insure he understood what we wanted. I was impressed. SBG delivered on everything we asked for. Daily communication with our project manager was excellent. All the teams from demolition, retaining walls, footings and final concrete pour were excellent. The project was finished on time and the results were everything we asked for. Highly recommended! You'll be in good hands.

We had such an amazing experience working with Sunny. We wanted to have concrete poured into our side yard.
Before we hired him, he walked us through the process very thoroughly. He even explained the legal portions of working with a contractor so we know how to spot legitimate companies.

The entire process from demolition to the last touches went so smoothly, and the final product looks amazing. Beyond just pouring concrete, Sunny also has vision. With our project, he considered how the final product would look and mentioned design ideas to create an inviting atmosphere. He definitely prides himself in his work and we highly recommend working with him and his company.

Recently I contacted 4 construction companies regarding installation of artificial Turf.
I ended up going with Sunny Builders Group because the way that Sunny presented the the installation was something I could understand . As a result I am not sorry for one instant.
The installation crew working for him did an excellent job.

So so happy with how our back yard turned out! Matan was our project manager and was very helpful in guiding us through what we needed to create a space we would love! Our first project was a ramp and retaining wall. The second project was a very long retaining wall around a very large oak tree and slab for our future shed. It all turned out beutiful! The crew worked everyday, were clean, respectful and did such a fantastic job! Jesus was also part of our project and understood what we wanted and desired.
