As a previous community manager, I cannot say enough good things about this company, their professionalism and attention to detail. I used Nautilus as a vendor when I was community manager and they also worked on the community I live in. Their homeowner liaisons were extremely communicative and provided accurate information and updates throughout the entire project! It made an otherwise intrusive project seem bearable. I would definitely hire them if i had the opportunity again!

Our 18-unit condominium used Nautilus for a major reconstruction/repair project. The project was approximately a year in duration and included many facets, among them: corrosion remediation on our metalwork, reconstruction of balconies and walkways to address waterproofing, drainage issues and cracking, roof repair, stucco repair, plumbing issues, painting and more. They did the work on-time and within the agreed-upon budget.

They did an amazing job in all respects. The workmanship was top-notch. The communication and professionalism were a pleasure to behold. Tim and Manny were absolutely outstanding in every respect. Easy to work with, knowledgeable, great attitudes, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. They and their crews were unfailingly friendly and courteous. Their honesty, integrity and reliability were all beyond reproach.

As President of our HOA who had a great deal of interaction with them throughout this project, I I give Nautilus the absolute highest recommendation.

Update:
I am writing an update to my previous review simply perplexed by some of the negative reviews left by other as this company runs a very efficient and systematic process in achieving the customer's goals and objectives. Our community engaged in a full construction defect project with Nautilus with a budget of approximately 2 million dollars and the progress, communication, punch walks, billing and change orders have run smooth and efficiently.

I retired after 38 years in Public Works Administration and other Board members are in the construction field as well and from the needs assessment, budget and scope of work to each phase of the project the Nautilus team has been nothing short of professional and efficient.

Haley handles all community communication and planning and is stellar in doing so. Joe handles overall project management with contract issues, change orders, specifications, billing, construction meetings and so much more. Fernando whom is stellar in his Superintendent role is on site daily and handles all day to day QC, scope adherence and project oversight as well as onsite communication with residents. This team of three are what I call the A Team and it baffles me to read other reviews that don't acknowledge such professionalism and quality work ethic.

Our community is quite pleased with the skill, experience and quality that has taken place in this project and it is definitely appreciated that such professionalism and effort has minimized any residential issues and upheld the quality that we set as a goal.

Kudos to the team who are still on site working to meet a completion date in approximately June 2022.

Nautilus Contractors are truly a top rated firm with expertise in managing large construction projects with a mark of success. Joe, Fernando and Haley are what I refer to as the A Team currently working on our community construction defect project. True professionals with vision and a passion for perfection. They handle projects from A-Z and the communication and oversight to ensure quality control and delivery is highly commendable.

The service provided by one of their contractors, let's call him Tom Seabich, was quite possibly the worst quality work I have ever seen in my entire life. This company does not hire smart, intelligent workers who can get the job done correctly and on time. Their contractors are horrible at communication and come off as brash individuals while proving they have no idea what they are doing. I am curious if any of them are even licensed with what I saw.

I had the pleasure of working with Gottsik Construction this past year on my duplex ADU build in the College area. The whole team was very communicative, offered a competitive price, kept the schedule moving, and was very proactive when the unexpected occurred. My questions were always answered promptly and offered multiple recommendations on keeping cost within budget as well as helping on finishing selections. I am very pleased with the service that Mark, Noah, Daniel & Sue provided on my project and I would not hesitate using them again.

In the most positive way possible ... where do I start? The team over at Gottsik took care of my ground up 8 unit build from start to finish. Every step of the way they were very responsive and willing and ready to answer and tackle all problems and concerns I had. Being my first ground up build, it was definitely a little nerve racking but these guys made everything very smooth. Highly suggest using them for any upcoming projects you may have!

I recently engaged Gottsik for support on a commercial real estate build out. While we ultimately did not use them for the project, Noah was responsive, professional and provided references for architects, other GC's and lending support. His engagement was exceptional, especially considering his awareness that his time investment would not convert. I'm very appreciative of his help.

Gottsik built us a beautiful accessory dwelling unit over our garage, and we are very happy with the result. There were numerous challenges in the seemlingly simple project, but together we were able to overcome them.

We had a complex repair of an improperly prepared/failed re-stucco done by a different contractor. The Gottsik team investigated our issues and assembled a quality team of subcontractor specialists to correctly repair our building. It was a difficult remediation and not a small job. We are pleased with the results.

Gottsik was an exceptional partner for our multi-unit (ADU) project, from site visit to construction closeout. Mark, Noah, and Daniel were solution-oriented, tackling challenges with meticulous attention to detail, high-quality work, and cost-effective solutions. Their open, prompt communication prioritized our needs, especially when navigating city challenges. Their subcontractors were equally impressive.

One example showcases their teamwork: during the initial site visit, all subs attended. With our sloped site and the need to live in the main house during construction (with two young boys), minimizing disruptions was critical. Another bidder’s plumber, also on Gottsik’s team, proposed a utility trenching route that would have blocked our normal home access for a significant amount of time. Gottsik offered a less invasive, cost-saving alternative, proving they value their team’s expertise and clients’ needs.

I highly recommend Gottsik—you won’t be disappointed. I only wish they’d handled our design and permitting stages to save time and money.
