I chose Sattler for their customer service, willingness to do a site visit (actually multiple), and complete knowledge of how solar/SDGE/city permitting interact and how that would work with my unit. I live in a four unit complex with a flat roof - not the usual straightforward solar option. Therefore it was very important to me that companies do a site visit along with the quote, to be sure the project would be executable, and that I understood the project nuances. I got quotes from five companies; only two were willing to do a site visit. Of those two, only Sattler (Erik himself on the solar, permitting, city side) and Cosmin (on the ground electrical logistics) were willing to invest the time with me to explain the process start to finish. They earned my business right then. Their bid was competitive and thorough.

Throughout installation, Cosmin, Josue, Daniel, Mike, and Adrian were professional, thorough, and communicative. Lisandro got the system online (also not straightforward). Vanessa answered every question and email almost immediately, and furiously worked the permitting behind the scenes to success. As the customer, it was smooth and EASY, and I felt comfortable and informed the whole time during the process. THANK YOU!

We used this company to go solar at home right before the deadline of Net-metering 2.0 deadline. I was worried they will charge us extra because we were late and I was also worried they may not be able to file the paperwork on time.

I found their price to be very fare. They were able to meet the deadline for us. The system has been running for about six month now and it is performing like what they lie models predicted.

These guys installed our system and upgraded our main panel. They were great to work with. Communication was great throughout the project. It's been 10 months and our system has been working great! We had a number of challenges (like trenching and moving roof vents) that they worked out with us. They are a "can do" operation!

I hired Sattler Solar after a lengthy bid and interview process of 5 different solar installers. The first thing I found different about Erik is that he is an engineer as opposed to a sales person. He brings a level of knowledge to the process that was very helpful for me to make decisions about which brands and designs to consider. Erik spent as much time as I needed to learn about solar systems, the various products, warranties, and the different array and mounting designs given the roof structure I have. He also came up with creative and cost saving approaches to the installation when we ran into 'snags' tying into the older, existing electrical panels. Erik even 'went to battle' with a certain City that demanded unwarranted and unjustified visual 'screens' in order to grant the permits.
Such screens would have made the project too expensive, so he 'saved' that project. He is meticulous, conscientious, committed to the client and a genuine pleasure to work with. As a result, I hired him to install 6 additional systems at other commercial properties I own. I highly recommend Erik and Sattler Solar.

We just finished putting a new roof on our house and 15 new solar panels. We are more than happy with the end product! The roof looks great and we don't fear the arrival of our SDG&E bill anymore! Sattler Solar was fast, thorough and a pleasure to work with. The first time they looked at our home they actually recommended AGAINST getting solar because trees we had would limit our solar production and not make it worth it. Imagine that- a company not trying to sell you something that would be sub-optimal.
When the tree died- we went back to them because they made the most sense to us. Again they took the time to go through our needs and actually recommended AGAINST some things we were thinking because we wouldn't get the value from our money spent- instead they sized our system for what we actually need.

It is rare to find a company that gives you a realistic value- but that's exactly what Sattler Solar did for us. I would gladly do business with them again if I ever needed another Solar System or our needs change.

We had a system installed by another solar company that unfortunately went out of business. We needed support for service on our battery and Sattler was recommended by LG Chem. Lisandro and his team at Sattler went out of their way to ensure our problem was diagnosed and resolved correctly. It turned out the battery was fine but there was an issue with the inverter and they took care of getting it replaced with SolarEdge. The CEO Erik Sattler and COO Cosmin Tobos were very professional "hands-on" Managers, friendly and very helpful throughout the whole process. They answered all our questions and explained everything clearly. They also gave us a fair and competitive quote for the entire system that suited our needs and budget. Additionally, Sattler Solar installed the latest and greatest SPAN electric Panel and EV-Charger.

I was having trouble with my original solar installer and needed to get a new roof installed. I found Sattler Solar on the Panasonic authorized installer website to maintain my 25 year panel warranty. Erik, Kenny and the team went above and beyond to help coordinate removing the panels and reroof. They were always responsive answering my phone calls and prompt to answer questions by email. They worked in conjunction with JC roofing and handled the scheduling so I did not have to act as my own contractor. I had a need to get the job done on a certain timeline and both teams exceeded by expectations.

Highly recommend Sattler Solar. They put solar on for my neighbors, so I called them up. I needed to get two different properties done in a big hurry to make the NEM2 cutoff date. They got both jobs done smoothly, and for a good price too. Everyone was super professional and easy to work with. The quality of the install, panels, and micro-inverters are excellent. They also took care of SD City permits and SDG&E connection processes. Sattler is small enough that they were willing to work with me to place panels where I wanted them (note: other larger firms were unwilling/unable to do this). I’m super happy.

They were responsive to our questions, designed a 22-panel system that blended well with our existing pool solar, and coordinated the roof inlay for the Spanish tile.
