I wanted to share my experience with Stan from Smart Solution Appliances in San Francisco. My old Thermador stove had a problem with the simmer control that no one else could fix. But Stan came to the rescue! He knew exactly what to do and got my stove working perfectly again. If you need appliance repairs, I highly recommend Stan. He serviced our 18-Year-Old Thermador stove. The broiler had not been working for a while and now, thanks to him, it is. He also fixed the light in our 18-year-old microwave and did a nice cleaning for us in our hood. He was efficient, neat, polite, and very very knowledgeable. He has worked with all the big brands throughout his career and was trained specifically with them so he knows exactly what he's doing! We worked with him a few years ago when he told us it would not be worth the parts to fix are then old Bosch dishwasher and recommended another one for us.
As mentioned, he has worked directly with all of the big brands and maintenance and now has his own business.

Stan responded promptly to my call. He came over the same evening and took a thorough look at the situation (shattered cooktop). He did extensive research into spare parts to save us money on buying a brand new cooktop.

I've had Stan and his team help us twice now and he's always provided great service and honest advice.
The first time we called Smart Solutions our Bosch dishwasher went out. Stan came within a few hours, assessed the situation, and advised us the best option (and the less expensive) was to get a new unit as the parts + labor to fix the old one (15 yrs old) were cost prohibitive. I really appreciated his honesty.
We more recently had him service our Thermador stove, replace the bulb in or GE microwave, and clean & service our vent hood.
Stan and team were very organized, talked us through the work and left everything working like it was knew.

I can't say enough good things about Will and Stan at Smart Solution Appliances! They recently saved my 30-year-old washer/dryer combo after the switch that toggles it from washer to dryer broke. The part is no longer made, but that didn’t stop Will. With incredible resourcefulness, he replaced it with a new toggle switch—and joked that my machine is now a spaceship!
I was curious about how he learned to fix appliances so creatively, and his response amazed me. Will, who grew up in post-Soviet Ukraine, explained that resourcefulness is a way of life there. People don’t throw things away or take them to repair shops; they figure out how to fix them themselves. That attitude and ingenuity shine through in every job he and Stan do.

I made an appointment to fix the light in my Whirlpool gas oven. Will called in advance to let me know when he was arriving.
It turned out the bulb was missing but Will did a check of my oven and stove and the igniter for the oven was failing. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He made the repair quickly and made sure the oven was working properly before he left.
