Matthew and team were consistently on time and reliable from beginning to the end of the project and solved our problem! We had water coming in from somewhere so that one of our internal walls was getting wet. We chose Matthew to help diagnose the problem and come up with the solution which was to replace a chunk of siding on our Victorian building. It may have been a smaller project than what other siding experts were looking for (based on their lackluster efforts to give professional estimates or show up) but Matthew treated it like a priority and was efficient and communicative the whole time, which is critical if you, as a customer, have a regular full time job! Matthew and team were professional, communicative, and, in the end, effective, as it is pouring rain and all of it is staying outside of the building, where it belongs. Sealed up like a duck's butt!

Matthew and his team are incredible. I've worked with dozens of residential and commercial contractors over the years, and this team was as good or better than the best of them. The communication was outstanding, before, during, and after. The crew was quiet, courteous, clean, and thoughtful throughout. I was impressed by the way Matthew engaged his team as professionals, collaboratively creating daily project plans, addressing issues, and hearing concerns. As a part of this process, he went out of his way to get feedback and make improvements. He managed his subcontractors fully and proactively, without any engagement from me -- he was there every time he needed to be, and probably early. The work was done on time and with excellent craftsmanship, without excuses, delays, overruns, or any nonsense at all. In short, working with Matthew Kelly is how one imagines a building experience should be. I cannot recommend him more highly.

Matthew helped us with various projects at our house before we moved in, including a driveway reconstruction and some foundation and post repairs. He was very communicative, confirming what work we did and did not want as they went. The work was completed on time and on budget. Very accommodating of our questions and needs, would recommend.

Details: we contracted with Matthew for an earthquake retrofit project for our SF house built in 1907. Matthew's estimate was high quality, clear, and professional. His communication is very good, always kept us informed of progress, when there'd be work happening, when there'd be a pause and why. He handled the city inspections, interactions with the design firm, coordination with the foundation testing firm --- all went like clockwork. When there was the potential for unexpected hiccups, he gave us a heads up. His crew were polite and timely. They kept the place clean during the job and cleaned up super nicely at the end. Most importantly, the retrofit got done thoroughly. The project overall came in about 10% above initial estimate and took about 10 % longer than originally expected. Both of which I consider super good. Recommend highly with no reservations!

Matthew was amazing! Made time to connect with us often, explaining every step clearly, while supervising rebuilding a big part of our house, and wrangling a dozen subcontractors. Strong recommendation.

We needed 604 repair work on 3rd and 4th floor fire escapes. Work was performed externally without disturbing tenants. Setup was easy, cleanup was done neatly, and work done on schedule.

Matthew Kelly Construction recently completed a partial foundation replacement and dry rot repairs for my house in San Francisco. Matthew took a lot of time to talk about the project with me to ensure we were all on the same page. He had a very detailed and clear estimate and contract. Since this was a major structural repair on an old house, I was a bit nervous. But Matthew worked closely with the structural engineer and made sure all the temporary shoring was solid. The house did not move even a fraction of an inch. They also did a great job keeping the construction site orderly and clean and finished within schedule and budget. As we were wrapping up, Matthew took care to make sure I was happy with every last detail. Strong professionalism and craftsmanship.

We worked with Matthew Kelly on a three -story wood stair case for our apartment building. Matthew managed the project plus painting including scaffolding and repairs. His communication willingness to work with us was outstanding. I would work with him again without reservation.

Matthew coordinated effectively with engineers, subcontractors and inspectors. Matthew and his crew and office staff were very good about keeping us informed about the work’s progress including upcoming events such as special inspections. Matthew and his crew were always friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Once they arrived on site, the crew worked straight through until the project was completed. The overall project proceeded smoothly & efficiently and finished in a timely manner.
at the end of the project, the site was completely cleaned up, and our house our house was completely restored to its original appearance.

One of their contractors literally tried to run me over in a little pickup truck when I was riding my bike on 3rd st. I was in a shared bike lane and that apparently meant nothing to this cigar-smoking psychopath since he cut around me like I was a bag of trash in the street and then tried to run me over after I suggested that he drive more carefully(yes, I was quite civil when I adressed him, although I would have been justified if I chose to yell). I called and reported this incident to their office and was promised a follow-up call in return. No such follow-up ever occured.

Fernando and team are the best. They listen, provide great advice, deliver on time, and are perfectionist!

Luis helped repair some leaking windows / replaced wood siding / painted the back of my house. He and his crew did a great job and it’s been a year since he did the work and it still looks great. Also he was very fast to respond when I reached out, desperate to find help during a rainstorm when water started coming in through the windows. He was professional, friendly, and knows what he’s doing. Will definitely hire again!

Luis has done a few projects on our house and he's our go-to when we need something. He's prompt, efficient and is priced fairly. He's honest, knows what he's doing and the work is high quality. Highly recommend him and his team.

Fernando and team did a beautiful job renovating multiple parts of our home. He is a great communicator and manager and we loved working with him. When we got quotes from other people, they were wildly different (very high) and hard to make sense of. Fernando, by contrast, was very clear and transparent and worked with us to figure out what could be done within our budget. His team was diligent, detail-oriented, and very respectful when in our home. We live in an old house and there was a lot to do. When I got tired of making choices (lighting, flooring etc) Fernando had great recommendations. We would work with him again and have highly recommend him to several friends.
