I was physically attacked by an employee.

First time to use BV Electric, very friendly and efficient in scheduljng. Had flickering issues in past and had 3 electricians in the past who weren't abe to compleyely fix. The BV electrician was very patient, professional, and easy going. He was able to explain problem to me that made sense. BV Electric will be my go to electricians going forward.

After trying to contact sole proprietor electricians, I contacted BV for an appointment. They arrived on time, listened to the issues I had, explained the solutions, and provided quotes for future work. While it I like using individuals to do for small contract work, finding a larger firm turned out to be the best. I plan to use them for all future electrical work both small and more extensive.

David was amazing and did a check up of our property’s electrical work. He was able to diagnose my recessed lighting problem and offered solutions.

Within 10min after inquiry I received a response . In less than days I had an in-home consultation with the work appointment set up for the following day to change my light fixtures and upgrade all my light switches to dimmers. The 2 technicians arrived on time and completed everything in less than 2 hours. They were efficient, courteous and did great work. The cost was very reasonable . All aspects of my experience with BV Electronics was highly professional.

Working with this company was a great experience, they were so prompt and offering me an appointment. Most importantly, the electricians who came to my home, Jaime and his apprentice Luis, were so kind, answered all my questions, and did excellent work and fixed everything they could as well as gave me advice on Everything else I asked.

Jaime and David were professional, kind, and polite. They explained matters clearly and patiently. They answered all of our questions and provided valuable advice. They performed quality work - quickly and effectively.

Very efficient group of technicians. They communicated quickly and frequently to ensure the job was being competed according to scope of work. I would highly recommend BV Electric.

Jamie did a great job identifying the problem and fixing a one-of-kind chandelier so that it’s securely installed. Thank you!

Unfortunately, we cannot in good conscience recommend BV Electric. They were hired to install a new 200 watt service line after the original service line broke. This was a fairly complex project. They were competent at completing the actual electrical work, but important coordination with PG&E, the city, and another contractor was poor at best. They were defensive/argumentative and we were forced to act as a facilitator on more than one occasion in order to move the project along. In addition, PG&E advised that BV did not follow proper guidelines for the project.

Their inability to work cooperatively with these other entities, and to anticipate and respond promptly to issues and service requirements, resulted in the project taking 16 months to complete instead of the expected 6-12 months. Admittedly, our experience with such a situation is very limited, but we feel that the project could have been handled more effectively and expeditiously.

BV Electric Inc. was quickly responsive to our initial inquiry, and all employees communicated clearly, welcoming and answering our questions thoroughly. The electricians thought “outside the box” and were proactive in offering alternative approaches to addressing the challenges of our situation. My bathroom light wasn't working, so I asked BV Electrician to come check it out. The technician was very friendly and came on time. He was very knowledgeable and able to pinpoint exactly where the issue was. Overall, I am satisfied with the service.

I used them for Sub panel replacement. Customer friendly estimate process. Fair pricing and quality work. Would definitely use them again and would definitely recommend them.

I was asked to send a photo of the error message on my oven several days prior to the electrician’s visit. Had the photo been looked at by the electrician or someone in the office, they could/ should have informed me that they could not repair my oven because it was not an electrical issue. The electrician, who arrived over 30 minutes late, was nice enough, but informed me upon looking at the error message ( the photo of which I had already sent) that he could not repair my oven. He said I needed to have the appliance company do the work. He did help me by. getting the appliance company on the phone to schedule a repair visit. The problem was that I was charged 169.00 anyway. Not good.

Knowledgeable, quick, skilled and friendly. Plus easy to schedule - and on time! A+.

If I could give this 4.5 stars I would, but they did get the job done, charged me a fair price, and I'm happy. I do recommend this service, but expect a bit of back and forth with the office.

The things that could be improved:

They sent out an electrician to look at the work (helping us fix a light). He showed up, took a look, left. Then I got a message asking if we'd like to schedule an onsite to look at the job. So I replied we already did that, we need an estimate. Got a confusing estimate for $0. Emailed about that and got back that it's estimated at 2 electricians for a minimum of 1 hr so $350 or something like that for labor. So we approved the estimate and then the same electrician showed up to do the work and was done in 30 minutes.

He then asked me how much the estimate was and I said it was for $0, but also for $350 or something for 2 people to work for an hour. So he charged us half that and departed.

The electrician who showed up was super nice. Got the job done. Did so quickly and without surprises. I'm happy with the service. He charged us an appropriate amount.

All the back and forth in the middle isn't great but forgivable. I'd knock off half a star if I could, but, in general I do recommend this service. Nice folks, weak process, good outcome, acceptable price.

We had never used BV before and didn't know what to expect. They came on time and we only waited a day for service. They were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. All our issues were solved and we thought that the price was fair.
