After carefully interviewing over 10 contractors we selected Sami and Sons and we’re so glad we did! We were extra thorough in our contractor selection for this big project because most of our neighbors would not recommend their contractor. Our scope included: full kitchen remodel, removal of wall between kitchen/dining room, mini addition into covered yard patio, and fireplace removal. Jordan, our project manager was great to work with. Jordan was very organized and responsive. Shayna, designer recommended local vendors to get our finished material and helped us get discounted prices. The working team was very respectful of our home, esp considering we were still living upstairs. Like most projects, we had some challenges and surprises (unexpected hidden pipes behind walls that had to be moved or beams had to be relocated) but Jordan informed us right away and we worked out a reasonable price for the unexpected extra work. They finished the project on time and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this reliable family business to our friends and family.

They remodeled our bathroom and we love it! We had quotes from different companies and are very happy that we chose Sami & Sons. Some of the other companies were a bit pushy when we met, but not Sami & Sons. (We are also a lesbian couple and always felt respected.) Their price was within the market range, and they used permits as needed. We worked closely with Shayna, and she helped us through all the process of what we needed to buy (tile, bathtub, vanity, lights, water fixtures etc). During construction, they made sure to ask about all the little details that we didn't think of (like where to place the shower head on the wall). Everyone always wore masks and were respectful in our house. The construction workers were friendly, let us know when they were arriving and leaving, and did great work. They used a tarp on the floors where they walked and also cleaned every day so that we could still walk around in the rest of our house. They finished everything on time and always let us know how the project was progressing. They made sure that they got all the final touches just right so that we were happy with the bathroom. We will be doing some more remodeling soon and will continue to work with them! We highly recommend them!

It had been over 15 years since my kitchen has seen a facelift and I decided it was time to redesign the kitchen and knock out some walls. I had interviewed 4 contractors and selected Sami and Sons because of the no nonsense approach to the project, the reviews I had read and that Sami had come out and was willing to work our needs and requests that were not very standard.

It took us a while to get all the required items ordered and available to start the project, but once the project started it moved fast right away. The crew that came in to do the demolition and start the new rough framing worked very quickly and we were ahead of schedule. Everyone was very polite and they went out their way to make us feel comfortable by being mindful of our pets and cleaning up every night. The kitchen started to take shape very quickly and we were very impressed with how consultative the team was with all details of the finishing work.

As with every project there are some issues that will arise but Sami and Sons did a great job addressing any issues and making the job right. We are so very happy with our new kitchen, and are already thinking about our next project with Sami and Sons.

Sami & Sons are amazing to work with! From the first meeting i met them i instantly felt like working with a family. They are very communicative, very thorough in their work and made sure we were satisfied with the work before they signed off. I would highly recommend them.

We chose Sami and Sons over 3 other contractors we interviewed with to remodel our bathroom, and we couldn't be happier. After meeting with Abel and Sami himself we discussed a very reasonable cost estimate for the work that needed to be done. Abel even took us out shopping to several tile and home improvement stores to fan our imaginations of what could be possible for our new bathroom.

Throughout the entire process the staff from their front office to their onsite project manager Paul were always very responsive and helpful. This was our first major remodel and laborers were very knowledgeable about creating the bathroom we wanted to achieve while keeping up to date with building codes and city permits. Mario and Erick always asked us questions on how we wanted details in the bathroom to turn out. Always gave us suggestions when we were clueless, and always advised us properly when choosing fixtures and other materials for the build. It was very helpful and reassuring that the managers used the BuilderTrend scheduling app so we knew what tasks were to be completed and on what days so my wife and I could plan things ahead of time.

There was a miscommunication about the work at one point, but once we were able to talk to the project manager and other managers on the job they were able to resolve the issue very quickly and to our satisfaction.

Scheduling work per day could've been more efficient, but overall we loved the results and our bathroom turned out exactly the way we envisioned and we've been loving it ever since it's completion.

This was our first remodel experience and we had an exceptional experience from start to finish with Sami and Sons. We moved into a home built in the 70s that we love, but we wanted a few rooms and closets reconfigured to meet the needs of our growing family. Sami came out to walk through the project - he took the time to understand our concerns and wish list and helped us evolve our initial design ideas to achieve something that we would be comfortable with both from a design/function perspective AND a budget perspective; his quote was itemized, easy to understand, and fairly priced. Tom was our project manager and we loved working with him; he independently handled the back and forth with the city permit department (including getting architectural drawings when they asked for them); he was responsive, kind, and helpful throughout the entire project. Daniel was the foreman on our project and his work was exceptional - he worked efficiently and produced very high quality work (which Tom reviewed in great detail); I especially appreciated how tidy/closed off Daniel kept the work areas to minimize dust because we were living in the other parts of the house. We will definitely use Sami and Sons in the future for any remodeling project, big or small. They make remodeling less scary. Highly recommend!

I interviewed several contractors to help with a primary suite bathroom remodel. Sami articulated a message of treating their clients like family that resonated with me. His years in the business were evident as he helped generate a vision for what the space could be that was easily understood and welcomed, given I have no interior design expertise, nor do I have the first idea where to start. Sami and Sons provided a quote that was within reason; they weren't the most expensive, and they weren't the cheapest.

The process was very smooth. Sami indicated a timeline and provided a list of required finishing materials I would need, along with a list of preferred vendors where I could procure the material with their discount. I will say all of the vendors I engaged from the list were very professional and knowledgeable and provided insight into design and finish that was very helpful for my project.

When the work started, his team, led by Hector Perez, was meticulous with preparing the home to minimize the impact of the constriction site. They cleaned up after themselves daily and always checked in to ensure I was happy with the progress or to answer any questions. I can't speak highly enough of Hector and the team and their diligence, craftsmanship, and flexibility with my wishes.

Tom, Sami's son, was also instrumental in directing and overseeing my late-stage requests to get my shower just how I wanted it. He was very communicative with the timelines, oversaw the inspections, and ensured my expectations were met and that I was happy at the conclusion.

I reached out to Cody because he was recommended by a co-worker of mine who had a very positive experience. We were in the middle of a remodel of our home in Santa Cruz. Our contractor quit the job mid-way :-(. Cody was fantastic. He came to our house, spent 5 hours looking over things with us, advising us on all the problems, the sequencing of tasks, how to work with the City, manage permits, etc. Cody advised us to spend the extra money and fix the basics of the house - re-do entire electrical, re-do the drain lines, fix bad pipes. He said that if we wanted peace of mind, this is what we should do despite it potentially costing $40000 more totally. That was a tough number to hear but in retrospect we are SO GLAD we did what he advised. We can rest with confidence that the house is SOLID in every aspect, with no risks of electrical fires or bad leaks in the walls or under the house. When we used our own sub-contractors on some items outside of Cody's agreed scope, Cody even reviewed those quotes and advised us on what was reasonable, how to negotiate, and what would be wasteful vs valuable. We are amazed at how helpful he was to us. Even now, he keeps in touch, and will answer any quick advice question I have for him, three years after the remodel was completed.

I had the pleasure of working with Cody on my house complete architecture makeover with additions in 2018. I was very impressed with his expertise, and various recommendations to improve the house. We did a complete make-over with additions of our home in 2019. We had a rough idea of what we wanted but were not sure about many details. Cody patiently worked with us and suggested many great structural and design ideas. This was even before we signed up with him. The team was super easy to work with and we had a lot of fun working out all the details with them. We made multiple adjustments to the setup in the process. Cody was able to adjust and adapt the work and was equally excited as us to get it right. We had a tight six months deadline to get the house done as we had a fixed short-term rental lease. Cody and his crew were able to get the job done early enough for us to easily move in. Pandemic hit soon after. Having an extra room and a brand new place was really helpful. While we were stuck at home, we were at least able to enjoy our newly redone home to the fullest. We are really thankful to the team and recommend them highly.

Very happy with the work that was done. I was in need of some drywall repair and Sergei made the process very easy. I was given a rough estimate via text and made a appointment for a few days later. I had water damage to the ceiling above my shower. After Sergei was done it look like another ever happen. I recommend him for all all water damage repair and drywall repair. 5 stars across the board.

We’d give 10 stars if we could! Sergei is trustworthy, reliable, methodical, efficient, and highly skilled. We had saved up a bunch of dissimilar drywall repair projects so that we could tackle them at once. Sergei clearly explained what was necessary for each project, prioritized the work, and got everything done with great results. He didn’t compromise the quality of the job by rushing through the steps. He kept our house as reasonably clean as you can keep a house when having drywall work done.

We hired Sergei for a Level 5 finish on our ceiling, and the result is flawless. He took the time to do the job right, and the surface is perfectly smooth even under harsh light. He showed up on time, kept the dust under control, and delivered a high-end result without cutting corners.
