The service is convenient. It seems that bulky items can be picked up at the same weekday when the garbage pickup is done in your area.
I called on Wednesday to schedule an appointment (no waiting time at the line), and our old sofa with some additional bags was picked up on Thursday morning.

Edit: changing my review to 1 Stars, they took our green container and despite two confirmed appointments where they said they would drop it off, nothing has happened. They are very disorganized.

Previous review : Adriana was very helpful in resolving my ask. She was patient and thorough.

I called customer service to schedule a bulky item pickup and order some recycling supplies. The call was answered promptly, (unlike in the past with a 15-20 minute wait). I spoke with Lisa and she is the most cheerful, friendly and helpful person I have delt with at West Valley Recycles...ever. Keep up the good work.

I scheduled for junk pickup on Memorial Day and I called for questions and Alex picked up and confirmed that the company will pickup the junk today. I had one item that I did no include in the list but I put labels ‘For San Jose junk pickup’. And the driver gentleman picked up all 12 items.

Worked with Marie to get my account updated for a few things. She was super helpful (you could hear the smile on her face) and very capable to resolve my issue and get my account updated. The call was fast, easy and my list is resolved. Thank you Marie!!

I spoke with Sonya today to start our service as we just moved, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly and also made me feel very welcome as a new customer. It made me want to compliment her.

In the last couple months I've called in a couple service change requests and in both instances spoke with Vanessa. She was thorough and addressed my requests expeditiously. Thank you for the great customer service.

Once in a great while, a collection gets missed. But WVR has always been responsive when I report a missed collection. Recently, Alex even called me to check if a truck he'd seen in the area in their system had picked up my missed collection and offered to follow up if it hadn't (it had). Thanks, Alex, for an outstanding customer service experience!

I needed a larger bin, but the exchange process took longer than expected because of an address typo. After many phone calls, Vanessa , Michele, & Maria finally made it happen. The driver was as nice as could be when he finally made the exchange. Mission accomplished!

Alex helped understand the invoice correctly and offered options to change our service type too.

I needed a replacement for the Kitchen Organics Pail. Arthur helped me with the service request. He was very professional and patient.

The driver with some attitude opens the cans and mess the garbage around on the alley in our neighborhood. If there is something that doesn't fit the protocols , he could just kindly avoid collecting and not to mess the garbage around on the alley. please look at the picture all the items well organized inside the cans and now it is on the street both for us and the neighbors.

Our family is so happy with this company, especially unit 171 with Edward! Every Thursday morning, our 2 year old son waits by the window and waits for Edward in his big white recycling truck to drive down our street! Edward is so friendly, professional, courteous, remembers our son’s name and always takes a couple moments to say hi to him! He has given us stickers and always honks his horn to say hello! These simple gestures from Edward makes our son’s day every time! This has become part of our family routine and we look forward to it all week!

I called West Valley Recycling to schedule a large item pickup and spoke with Alex. He resolved a couple problems, answered my questions and scheduled the pickup. He was pleasant and helpful and got the job done!!
