Unfortunately, we didn't get the experience we expected even though they were touted by our builders and HOA for HVAC services.

Our HVAC stopped working. We wanted someone to diagnose the problem and repair the system. They were upfront with the pricing. The lady who picked up the call was very courteous and patient in explaining things to us. She remained so during all our interactions with West Coast Mechanical; we do appreciate her for this.

The serviceman came, checked the system on the top, the one in the apartment, wanted to check the thermostat, replaced it with a new one, and the system started working! The problem was with the thermostat. So far for the good part.

They charged us $225 for the thermostat, something that is available on amazon for $35. We asked them about this and they said that thermostats bought from them would always be costly. Secondly, for the hourly rate, they billed us half-an-hour before the time the serviceman arrived at our apartment door. They said that he had already come and inspected the terrace before coming to our door. This was unprofessional; for bill-per-hour services, the serviceman arrives at our door first and we both sign against an agreed-upon time, and then the service starts. Though they apologized for this, they did not reduce the amount billed.

We asked them to take their thermostat back. They did so, but the serviceman this time got his finger poked by some sharp wire and got so angry that they just plucked out the thermostat forcefully and left in a huff. They returned the thermostat money. We found a nice thermostat online [Google Nest], installed it ourselves, and it is functioning marvelously for us.

I absolutely LOVE these guys. 100% committed to their clients and they definitely put service first. Been working with then since 2022 and they always deliver!

He is unprofessional, does sub standard work, can't pass an inspection, none of his employees are certified for anything. Do not hire this company, they will take your money and screw you over. The last installation he did filled the home with carbon monoxide luckily for him no one died, this time!!

They attempted to fix my furnace before ultimately I decided to purchase a new one and credited me the repair fee towards the overall larger price. Feels like a very handholding family run company.

I used Controlled Systems for installation of our AC in 2017. Within a week of the install, there was a leak in the garage since the vent for condensation opened into our garage and the installers didn't pay attention to it. The company came and installed a makeshift pipe that empties into our garden from the garage, but we have another leak now, and I called them up and their response oh you didn't hire us for servicing. Will not recommend them ever.

Controlled Systems installed our heating system 10 years ago, added AC 6 years ago, and have kept both running in good condition the entire time. Vince was insightful and persistent about analyzing and repair a couple of intermittent issues. (Intermittent problems are the hardest to fix, whether HVAC, automotive, or computers.

The HVAC at my store started leaking water from the roof down onto my overhead ceiling. I also had an issue with the heater last winter that I had yet to address. I called Controlled Systems on the advice of a friend. I left a message in the evening and heard back first thing the next day. The owner Mike had a technician available and he showed up around 9:30. Both my issues were addressed with a bill that I thought was more than fair.
I will use them the next time my business or home needs HVAC service.

Another hot weekend, another AC failure after working with Controlled Systems. Now $9-10K in and this has to be the 4th or 5th time the AC has failed. Every time they come out, it's another $1-2K. The problem never gets fixed. Last time they left after "fixing" the AC they let me know that the heat would now not be working. What?! Now it's scorching hot and nothing works. I will finally write this off to a terrible referral and move on. They also have no website, Yelp so....what does that tell you?

I had Controlled Systems Inc. install a new heating and a/c system for my shop. Mike did the quote and followed up with the job the entire way. All of his guys were friendly and never got in the way of my employees. I have had Mike and his crew install 2 more heaters in my service building, and take care of a rental property. This is an A+ business to deal with.
