Justin promptly responded to my every question and request. The work went smoothly and was completed on time. The company collaborated well with our insurance company so that our claim was paid very quickly.

You don't ever want to do business with these guys, because that means something really bad has happened. But when it occurred to me, I was so glad that they were there. We had a pipe burst coming out of a sewage sump pump, blasting you-know-what all around our crawl space and had a pool of it on the ground. Fortunately, we caught it within a day or two, but still the mess was there. WDR came out less than an hour after my call and got me an estimate that wasn't cheap, but reading the line items, it all made sense. They were very patient explaining everything on a phone call that night.

Something like this, you've really got no choice because of the health implications plus the value of your home is at stake. I agreed and the crew came out the next morning and got after it. They suited up in their hazmat suits and went to work, doing a lot of cleaning, they removed soil, they applied anti-microbial agent and an absorbent and they removed and replaced some soil. I was shocked at how it looked when they were done on the second day. It was spick & span, clean as new and a far cry from how gross it was the morning before. They tested the wood and it was damp so they also set up an industrial dehumidifier for a couple days and dried everything out from ~85% to ~10%. In the end it was clean and the smell was gone.

The guys that came were great too--very conscientious and friendly, happy to keep me apprised on everything that was going on. And in the end, they came in a little bit under the estimate.

Did I want to spend a $4 grand? No. But this was a disaster and we needed to act quickly. And did they do a good job? Absolutely, they did a fantastic job.

Not only Fire & Water Damage Recovery was fast in respond but they also went extra miles to help us save a lot of hardship. As if life wasn't hard enough, my uncle just came back from Vietnam treating cancer and only to find out that his house is burned down the next morning. He was in a panic mode, he didn't speak English, and had no where to go, and no clues of what to do next. Fire & Water Damage sent a Vietnamese Translator came by the next day, not only to explain with what are best and effective approaches but also help guided with everything from talking to the Insurance Company, to textile company, the clean up, and content restoration process. Once everything is approved, they then proceed everything very quickly, have clean, restored, and listed every single broken thing that was caused by the fire. We can't thanks enough of what Fire & Water Damage has done for us. I highly recommend them.

I had a supply line to my refrigerator break and flood my whole down stairs, I panicked and called my insurance they told me to contact a company right of way. WDR arrived onsite promptly cleaned up the mess and made sure everything was dry and properly sanitized. the best part about the whole process is the dealt directly with my insurance and saved me the headache. On top of being very professional, he laid out the plans to mitigate the issue in a very straightforward manner. His work and his team was quick and efficient. WHATEVER YOU DO, STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. Anyone experiencing a water disaster in their home knows how traumatic is can be. However, if you hire Water Damage Recovery, your trauma will double. Although the technician that came to my home was professional, friendly, and efficient, it is their management and underhanded billing practices that are unethical and unprofessional.

We had a flood in our home due to broken water supply lines in one of our bathrooms. I hired Water Damage Recovery based on their positive Yelp reviews (which I now suspect are mostly fake reviews). They provided a line-item quote of $4,600 to remediate the water damage. They came in and tore out all of the wet and damaged drywall, door moldings, baseboards, carpeting, etc. They also placed dehumidifying equipment in the wet areas to dry everything out. After a week, they said that the tiles on the floor and walls were not drying out, and they strongly recommended that these tiles should also be torn out. I asked if they could just leave the dehumidifiers in place longer to see if the tile would eventually dry out. They agreed to do this, and said there would be a "nominal" additional cost for this, but they never provided any actual costs to me. They left the dehumidifiers in place, completely unattended, for a couple of extra weeks.

You can imagine my total shock when I received a final invoice for almost $12,000. Apparently they felt they could just "leave the meter running" without even informing me what the costs would be, and then submit whatever outrageous amount they wanted. In fact, my insurance company initially refused to pay such an outrageous amount, especially since no updated costs had been provided for leaving the dehumidifiers in place longer. So Water Damage Recovery began a process of regularly harassing me by phone and email, demanding that I pay them the additional $7000. At one point they even implied that if I didn't pay them, they might be forced to put a lien on my home. My insurance company eventually paid Water Damage Recovery the full amount to prevent them from further harassing me. By the way, I found out that the exact same dehumidifying equipment they left at my home for a couple of extra weeks can be rented at Home Depot for a FOUR week period for $600 to $800, compared to $350 to $500 PER DAY which is what Water Damage Recovery charged for leaving their dehumidifier equipment in place for a couple of extra weeks.

So from an initial line item estimate of $4,600, Water Damage Recovery ended up billing a total of almost $12,000 - again without ever advising me what the additional charges would be. What a ripoff and what an unethical practice. If you decide to use Water Damage Recovery anyway, BE FOREWARNED and get everything in writing - especially any additional work or extras.

Can't say enough good things about the folks at Fire & Water Damage Recovery. This is an extremely stressful time dealing with a rebuild, mold/moisture and the list goes on. I got two quotes from Damage Recovery folks and Fire & Water clearly stood out. Mike & Justin took tedious notes, provided a quote and even dealt with the insurance folks (I don't wish that on anyone).

Most importantly, they over-delivered, Omar & Onofre worked extremely hard at getting all the moisture, mold and all the hundreds of things that goes into their work. I was really impressed with their diligence and kindness. The team also coordinated really well with Environmental Remedies Inc. and SAFE for Testing - they all moved in unison and wasted no time.

I hope I don't have to deal with this in the future, but if I do, I'll definitely be calling them!

Despite an unfortunate water-leak incident damaging our downstairs+upstairs bathrooms, I was well taken care by the great folks at WDR. Upon referral, Justin quickly responded to get a conversation started, then Mike promptly proceeded with the estimate and scheduling while answering all my questions in details. Promptly upon scheduling Angel came with Alejandro and Gerois to do the work meticulously & carefully, courteously wearing shoe covers & masks, too. Angel patiently walked me through everything I needed to know before/during/after the work, all friendly & professionally. And all of their excellent work was even completed ahead of schedule (along with readjusted estimate/invoice), to boot. Finally Stephanie wrapped it up with invoice payment - very friendly & pleasure to speak with.

Look, you're not calling a company like FWDR because something happy has happened...

Our refrigerator flooded our kitchen - exposing a small, long-term leak that had slowly destroyed our cabinets, drywall, and floors for years without our knowledge. We now had ourselves a water damage AND a mold problem and had no idea where to start. We were lost and stressed and didn't know who to call. I did a quick search and found FWDR because of all of their amazing Yelp reviews.

One call to FWDR turned a stressful situation into a manageable project with knowledgeable support all along the way. Javier was always able to quickly and patiently answer my questions (and I had a lot of questions), he referred us to several companies to deal with prerequisite issues (asbestos and lead testing and removal), and it felt like he was there to walk us through the whole process.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the patience and consideration Javier, Santos, and Margarita showed every step of the way. They worked with the other vendors and my insurance directly to make sure that no time was wasted between services from different companies, the work was quick and thorough (proof received through testing), and every consideration was given to my family with two toddlers and small home during a pandemic - they did their very best to work around us and our day to day needs.

I can't thank them or recommend them enough. Attentive, detailed, courteous, patient, thorough, and going well above and beyond in customer service - you really can't ask for more from a company you never really want to have to call in the first place!

Water pipe failed causing 3 floors damage to our commercial office building. Major flooding, broken ceiling tiles all over, computers out of service, walls and ceilings were damaged.

Maria, who is the owner, answered my 4AM call, had a team of 10 people deployed in less than 1 hour, with more help on the way by hour 2. Flooded water was removed from 15 offices in 3 floors and debris cleared out same day. Simply amazing response and expertise. Their crew was done with the water removal before any office employees even showed up for work.

Drying equipment was mobilized same day after the standing water was removed. This involved 20 industrial grade dehumidifiers to remove the water in the carpet and walls, and over 100 drying fans. They had to cut open the submerged walls to ensure everything dried and did not mold, other walls just had holes drilled to dry them. We were able to save tens maybe hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage due to their immediate efforts. Christian was our project manager and was on site daily to ensure the work was done to his satisfaction, and to ensure the work was done right to try to save as much as possible.

As commercial and retail building owners, we have worked with a variety of disaster recovery companies. We chose Water Damage Recovery because their work far exceeded others.

Responsive, professional, and thorough! Had them in to clean up after rodents dug into garage and they were able to come out quickly for an estimate (final invoice was less than estimate!). Their crew arrived on time, was professional and thorough, and I am very pleased with the results of a nice clean garage. Sorry I didn't take before and after photos. Hope I never need to use them again, but would if needed...
