We have just finished the design phase with our designer, Greg, and we are very happy with the process and results. Greg's ideas and attention to details were very helpful in creating our backyard makeover which includes a pool upgrade with Baha deck and efficient filter/pump equipment, creative decking, pergola, fire table, lighting and landscaping. Greg's assistant, Tony, was able to create a 3D model of our backyard so we could get a great idea of what the makeover will look like. We start construction in November.

My husband and I are re-doing our backyard and after going through a few bids we chose Western Outdoor! We are very excited to begin this project. So far the customer service and the team that has been working with us on design and contract signing has been smooth and very pleasing. Highly recommend working with Michelle and Adrian! We can't wait to see the project finished!

We’ve been working with Joe on our front yard project and it’s been great! Joe is very thorough, detailed and extremely professional. I’d give 5 stars but we haven’t completed the project yet. Thus far the entire team has been extremely detailed oriented. If you’re looking for a legit turnkey company that stands behind their work, these people are it. We’ve had friends use Joe and his team and their backyard, patio and walkways are GORGEOUS. We’re so excited to see how our yard wraps up!

Western Outdoor was great to work with and we are very happy with our new yard. Craig and the whole Western team knocked it out of the park. We highly recommend this company to anyone that needs a backyard remodel.

My wife and I have had a great experience working with Greg on the design of our backyard hardscape/landscape plan. Very excited with the ideas Greg came up with and cannot wait for the project to underway next month! Really appreciated Greg's imagination/creativity, professionalism and attention to detail. We have a major front and backyard remodel project that includes construction of a large pergola connected to the house with built-in outdoor gas heaters, a large water feature, fire pit, diverse pavers, and extensive softscaping. After several disappointing attempts to get this project underway with other companies, we turned to Western Outdoor Design. We were immediately impressed with their professionalism, courtesy, and no-nonsense attitude; so we decided to begin the design process with Greg. The longer we worked with Greg, the more certain we became that going with Western Outdoor was the right choice. Greg’s expertise as a landscape architect and designer really showed as he was able to come up with exquisite solutions for the many design problems with our quite complicated project. Very helpful here were the 3-D computer graphics that Ryan prepared for Greg which gave us a realistic “look” at specific features of our project. What we like about Greg is that he pays attention to detail, is absolutely meticulous, and nothing gets overlooked. We were very pleased with his ability to “visualize” what we had in mind and with his patience which I’m sure we tested on several occasions. Finally, we were very happy with the transparency of the pricing. As 35+ year homeowners with plenty of experience with remodeling companies we can say that, up to this point, Western Outdoor Design stands head and shoulders above the rest. Just two days ago, work on our project started with demolition of existing hardscape. Thus far, our experience with the work crew is exactly as we expected, and we are confident that we will be very happy with the final results.

Michelle, Vince, Victor and Danny & co were rather amazing to work with. Due to health issues in the family, our design phase lasted well over a year. Michelle and Vince were very patient with us during said times. Never pushed us to commit to signing a contract, never forced their choices upon us, were flexible in accommodating our odd requests, and patiently explained pros and cons of design elements new to us. After contract signing, implementation phase was swift and per plan. I found the crew (Victor, Danny etc) to be rather skilled. They worked like a well oiled machine. The few logistical hiccups we experienced were swiftly dealt with.
I look forward to working with them again for when we start phase II of our landscaping work. Can’t recommend them enough.

I have consulted with three different contractors for our front yard redesign and Western Outdoor Designs was by far the best. We love the design they have done for us. Joe and Amber have been amazing to work with so far. We are very excited for the work to begin and will provide an update soon on the outcome!

We have a large backyard remodel and bid it out to 4 different companies. Western Outdoor Designs were by far the most responsive and comprehensive. Our designer, Greg, came out to our house for an initial visit to understand what our vision was and after some back and forth materials, designs, budget, we came by to their office 2 weeks later to review initial plans and material. They have a very nice showroom that allowed us to pick and choose exactly what we wanted while understand the cost impact of things. As part of the plan review, Ryan, 3D renderings expert, showed us a first view as to what our backyard would like like in a video. It was really nice to get a feel for it right away. 2 meetings later and more back and forth (especially on budgets), we are moving forward with them with most of what we initially asked for and very close to budget. We are very pleased with the overall process and would recommend them.

We would recommend this company for your backyard design! Our team of Michelle, Adrian, and Chilo, were all very knowledgeable, responsive, and committed to our project. The work was performed in a neat manner and kept to the schedule. As a commercial construction project manager myself, my expectations were high, but Western Outdoor Design certainly met my expectations! We are completely satisfied with our new backyard!

We used Western Outdoor design for our entire front and back yard project. Out front, we removed all existing concrete (brand new tract home build) and had pavers put in. Replaced all grass and low quality plants with a natural landscape and new planting. Reworked all drip lines and continued the retaining wall to the sidewalk. Nice caps on top and matching house stone veneer on the face. Existing gutters linked to full drain system. In back, had an oversized spa installed, putting green, 25’ flagpole, drip system, ambient lighting, rock speakers system, pavers throughout. From sitting down with Craig to do the design to dealing with David on a daily basis, we couldn’t be happier. All the crews were very respectful and friendly. Cleaned up everyday and never left a mess. Roger was also very easy to work with regarding the planting and hardscape stuff. Our next door neighbors are now using them after seeing our project. Our youngest son just purchased a new first house and is also using them. Overall we are very satisfied with the professionalism and quality of work done. Highly recommended. A+.

We truly enjoyed working with the team at Western Pavers. After first interacting with Joseph, we recognized the value that his landscape design experience would bring to our project. He was clear and attentive to our wants and needs. He was both knowledgeable and professional, which made it very easy for us to discuss how to make the most of our space. When discussing the project, he also allowed plenty of time for us to make changes and was willing to change things on the spot based on our feedback. We appreciated his guidance and suggestions, as well as his flexibility to tailor the project to fit what we were looking for. Despite having a relatively small yard, his assistance enabled us to make the absolute most of our space! During the 3D rendering session, his colleague Ryan was also very knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to make changes in real time that really highlighted what we could expect our yard to look like. The team at Western just finished the job and we couldn’t be more satisfied. With the help of our project manager, Chilo, we ultimately saw our vision come to life. Chilo had an incredible eye for suggesting and making small yet meaningful changes throughout the project. Chilo was also very responsive to any questions we had and was an endless source of good suggestions throughout every step of the build process. With the latest downpours putting our new yard to the test, it was evident that Chilo and his team treated our project with the highest level of craftsmanship. We would highly recommend the team at Western Pavers for any design and landscape construction services.

From beginning to end this crew and company delivered professional, friendly work. Michelle and Joby are great ambassadors for WOD&B and are the reason we went with this company. Daniel is an wonderful craftsman. Jesus manged our project with courtesy and made sure it was finished on time!
The crew worked long days to finish some aspects of the project and made sure the final clean up was done well. Our new backyard is now a restful oasis . We recommend this company and especially this A-team crew highly.

9/22/20: We just started a major back yard project with Western Pavers and so far we are very happy with their service and professionalism. We discussed our many ideas with the design team Michelle and Vince. They are both very personable and patient. They take the time to answer every question and clearly strive to meet our high hopes for realizing an awesome back yard space. It is so satisfying to see our vision translated into a detailed design. Tony joined our recent design meeting and his services were a huge value-add as he was able to manipulate a 3D design in real time so we could make little tweaks to get every detail nailed down. It was incredibly helpful to see that 3D rendering in order to make some key decisions. We are super excited to take the next steps and will update our review as our project progresses...

Update 12/21/20: Since writing my initial review of Western Pavers, specifically the design process thus far, we have added plans for our front yard as well as made materials selction for the whole project. We continue to be very happy with the level of service we have received. Vince was prompt and responsive with front yard plans and project revisions. Michelle was extremely helpful in choosing various materials and we are super excited to take the next steps once we receive approval from our HOA to move forward. So far, so good!

Greg W. has been great to work with so far. Very knowledgeable and prompt. Our initial consultation consisted of a long sit-down in our home with him while he listened to our list of wants and needs. His attentive nature and creative ability gave us an immediate level of comfort with him, and we can't wait to see the finished product!
Their in-house 3d rendering capabilities are a nice additional feature, as well as their materials show-room in San Marcos.

We highly recommend Western Outdoor for any landscaping project you may have. We worked with the team of Michelle, Vince and Chilo. Michelle is so knowledgeable about all of the materials which helped so much in making the right choices for our project. She was also very patient and was able to smoothly guide us through the process. She was always readily available for any questions and once the project was started she would check in to make sure it was going well. Vince created an amazing design for us which included some great lighting and beautiful plants. The 3D presentation that both Michelle and Vince walked us through was so helpful and once again they were very patient and professional with all of our questions. Chilo was in charge of the actual demo and construction. He made sure everything was on schedule and permits and inspections were done in a timely manner. He made sure everyone working in our yard was respectful of our property and us. He was also there to answer any questions we had and was very professional. The icing on the cake was the clean up after that he was in charge of and took part in. The entire project was spotlessly cleaned as well as the surrounding plants. They also power washed our driveway, sidewalk, and the street in front of our house! He also came back after the project was finished to take care of some loose ends that he thought should be fixed. The whole team was so professional, yet friendly and they completed a beautiful yard for us!

We recently completed our backyard renovation which included cabana construction, a fire feature, significant paving, steps, lighting, turf, landscaping, all of it. Western Pavers did a phenomenal job and the finished product looked almost exactly like the 3D rendering. We are so proud to show it off and get so many compliments on the quality and execution. It's gorgeous and we are so happy. From the start Vince and Michelle were friendly and helpful with the design and selection of materials and they continued to check in throughout the process, helping with adjustments and questions we had where needed. Matt, the Project Manager, was super responsive and kept things moving and was always willing to stop by when we had a question or concern. The construction crew was professional and thoughtful and overall our experience was so positive. Our project took many months but it was worth every minute. Thank you Western Pavers!

I've been working with Michelle and Adrian on a complete redesign of my backyard since July. It has taken me some time to decide on the project and funding - as anyone deciding on such a large investment may do. Michelle and Adrian have been great to work with, they have been kind, personable, and patient through the process. They have listened to and understood my needs and provided a clear, no pressure sales environment. I would not hesitate to work with them again and can't wait to see the project come to life in 2020.

We have been working with Joseph on our backyard project and he has been very thoughtful in his design suggestions and receptive to our concerns. He and Ryan were able to take our thoughts and create an amazing vision for our backyard. My wife and I are not creative, so it was great to have Joseph help bring to life our ideas and pull it all together in one cohesive atmosphere for the back yard. We haven’t started construction yet, but the amazing client service from Jospeh and Ryan give us confidence in Western Pavers ability to translate Joseph’s vision into an amazing end product for our back yard.

We hired Western Outdoor to design and build our custom backyard, including a pool and outdoor living area. Our design team was Michelle, Vince and Tony and from the beginning, they were by far the most professional and easiest to communicate with. We vetted multiple companies, but you notice a clear difference with this team in their approach, experience and willingness to listen to your ideas as well. They spent time understanding our style and how we wanted to use the space; then came back with a plan for our property which blew us away and exceeded our expectations. We've recently started construction and are very excited to enjoy the finished product, but can't recommend Michelle, Vince, Tony and the entire Western Outdoor team more highly.

I cannot recommend Western Outdoor enough for the yard that you know needs a facelift but you don’t know where to start. Joseph listened to our needs and wants and expertly created the new design. Once it was time to begin construction, Clint was an outstanding project manager. He communicated the entire way, conducted check ins, quickly answered all questions we had, and resolved any issues immediately. The final result is a yard that our family will be able to enjoy for years to come. I would certainly recommend Western to anyone and will return when it’s time to redo the front!
