Landscaping reviews in San Marcos, California

Mom wanted a patio table with chairs and a small umbrella to put in our carport for outdoor dining and simple pleasure. So, off to Walmart I went. Like Amazon, I have always been able to find what I want there. I saw a set there three weeks ago on sale, hoping it was still available.

A young man had already just clocked out for the day, but helped me find the one I wanted. The ones with umbrellas were out of stock, but a glass top table with four sturdy chairs for $68 is a steal! He wanted to help me get it to my truck, but when I heard him say he’d already clocked out, I told him that was not a good idea in case he injured himself, and to run free. I asked the girl at checkout to get me two strong guys to lift that out to and into my truck. Regardless of the reason for delayed action, after waiting just over 15 minutes I asked for the manager, who appeared out of breath and ready to help make me a happy customer.

The manager on shift 7/20/2025 deserves her props for going above and beyond to make sure I not only had two strong guys to assist, but she made sure I was able to purchase the umbrella that compliments our new patio table set as well. I was willing to take the one on demo, and she said yes. She knew what good customer service looks like, and turned around and provided EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Kudos to her.

I do a lot of shopping at this particular Walmart due to the good customer service, huge parking lot, great prices, convenience of various departments, and a long history of satisfaction. When I finally ran into a minor bump in the road, management stepped in and did the right thing. I am very grateful and hope that she received the recognition she deserves. Unfortunates, I failed to catch her name. But, 7/21/25 she shined!

This place is seasonal and I think you would only go here to get a pumpkin at Halloween or a tree for Christmas if you were really depressed.

Had everything I needed much easier to find someone to help you than the home Depot and a large selection of vegetable plants as well as flowers and trees

What a great selection, there is so much to see, thoughts of a beautiful garden and exotic plants will transport you to an imaginary place...

After calling many places and asking for a specific item, when I called them, they said they had it. I can usually count on them to have what I want, but I no longer live nearby, so it's not now my go-to. Guess I just need to start going back there again.

Smaller of the various locations... Still has the typical offerings but if you're looking for anything beyond the Plants 101 aisle, I'd recommend the West Escondido location.

An employee actually offered to assist me 😮 welcome improvement to Home Depot yesteryear. Some nice plants at reasonable prices as well.

Even though we have to come back tomorrow....I am pleased with the service we received in the Christmas tree lot. We had a tree picked out and were ready to pay, but the attendant told us the tree we picked wasn't a good one. We failed to realize it was pretty dry and brittle. He said it'd probably be dead in a week. He advised for us to come tomorrow after they receive a fresh batch or continue looking if we wanted. We didn't see another one we liked so opted to come back. Really thankful he was honest!

Papa Rich was very helpful and super nice!! 👍🏼 He help me with the garden panels!!! And told me what was best for what I had in mind!!! Great customer service!!! I wish we would have more people like papa rich in Home Depot in San Marcos

I can always find what I need here. Other stores move merchandise around so that you have to shop the whole place. To me, that shows no respect for my time.
Well organized and typically laid out so that it's easy to find what you are looking for, Home Depot is my go to for my building necessities. If they don't have it or I can't find it their employees are easy to find and really good with the extra tips. I'll be back!

This is our go-to Home Depot. While I would prefer being able to walk thru a store without being bombarded with associates asking if we need help, I understand that is their job. My favorite part is the gardening area. Bonus- while you are likely to be greeted in this area, no one bugs you, so it's a nice escape. I've always found a plant or two (or three) I'd like to add to my collection. We've never had a problem with the plants dying or coming home with bugs. Very pleased.

I love the garden center. I usually go with a plan but leave with so much more. The staff is incredibly helpful and we were able to find something better then what we were looking for!

A great company to work with. They'll take care of all of your landscaping needs. Their staff is also really good to work with.

This company was contracted through our HOA and every week they seem to get lazier and lazier. Our trimmings never get cleaned up and our porch is always left in disarray after them come by, so I was finally able to let one of the workers know and he assured he would come and fix the issue. Sadly, his attempt was not close to satisfactory. I would avoid this company at all cost.
