I've been maintaining large trees on my property for the past 37 years and have used many tree maintenance companies over the years. I've used San Jose Tree Service on my last two projects. I am impressed with Roberts ability to be competitive during the bidding phase and the level of service that follows. We just had a great overall experience with San Jose tree service. From the process to select the material (we did new pavers for the driveway, fence, lawn, new trees, and lighting). The quote was fair and they never raised the initial price. And then Jose and the team were absolute pros (they showed up everyday at 8 am and worked until evening cleaning up every night) and finished a big job in 3 weeks. Multiple neighbors got their business cards because of the quality and how diligent they were. From Noe, to Robert, to Jose, all around first class with a lot of subject expertise.

I needed to obtain an arborist's report in order to apply for an urgent tree removal permit. Robert was prompt in responding, provided some very helpful insights and provided exactly what I needed in order to get my project moving forward. He was knowledgeable, professional, and delivered the report right on time. I wouldn't hesitate to use San Jose Tree Service again.

We had San Jose Tree Service remove our existing lawn and place drought tolerant plants, rocks and bark along with a weed barrier and drip system. The workers managed to do this in 6 days and they were very professional. We highly recommend this company. A few of our neighbors have complimented on this landscaping and we have given out the company information to them.

San Jose Tree Service is the company I use for all yard services. Before I found them, I had to call multiple vendors who specialized in limited services. Their name does not accurately describe what they do because San Jose Tree does it all.They assisted in the design and installation of my plants and sprinkler systems and continue to provide regular tree maintenance. The team is always knowledgeable and courteous. The office is available and responds to questions on a timely basis. I can enthusiastically recommend Robert and his team at San Jose Tree Service.

During the massive rain and wind storm two weeks ago two large limbs broke from our giant mountain ash tree. we contacted kept San Jose Treee Service was a life saver. They came promptly and told me what needed to be done. They gave me a detailed plan and cost of service. They came right when they said they would- a team of 4 men. The work took 3 days,- and they cut up the fallen limbs, pruned and thinned out the massive tree. They were careful to not damage anything as they lowered tree branches. The yard was perfectly cleaned up - even rraking up leaves and small twigs. I heartily recommend San Jose Tree Service.

This was a great experience from start to finish. A certified arborist came to our house the day after we called at a convenient time for us. He took his time to review the health and safety concerns for about ten trees including an enormous cedar tree that is close to house and also has branches overhanging the street.

The work was scheduled at a time that was convenient for us, and it was completed quickly with a large crew of hard workers.

We highly recommend this company, and we plan to continue to use them into the future to maintain our trees.

I chose San Jose Tree Maintenance to prune a large tree because they had competitive pricing and a high level of professionalism. The tree turned out beautiful and the landscaping around the tree was undisturbed. I would use them again.

San Jose Tree Service did a fantastic job with our back patio the last two days. They trimmed two camphor trees, reshaping them, and cleaned up any little "sprouts" or weeds that were growing among various shrubs. They also removed a root that was lifting up some of the pavers in the patio. And what really looks great is all the wonderful rock they laid over the soil which will help maintain soil moisture during the dry summer months and prevent little critters (cats and opossums) from digging in soil. They trimmed the shrubs, replanted some of the healthy succulents, and removed or rearranged old plants. And when finished, they watered everything and swept up all the debris. The workers were all very nice and listened carefully to any requests we had. I would highly recommend this service to anyone!

San Jose Tree Service treated our elms for beetles. I appreciated their responsiveness and advice about our trees and the best time to treat. They showed up precisely on schedule. I also appreciate their continued advice to ensure that our tree remains healthy in the long run-- they send follow up emails with tips and instructions that are valuable.

Five star experience with San Jose Tree Service. Did a great job of doing a major trim of our 3 nearly 100 year old fir trees. Really thinned them out while still keeping a really natural shape. Very happy with their work. Robert was super responsive and the team was efficient and everything was spotless when all done.

I called San Jose Tree Service for consultation about fruit trees in backyard. They responded right away. Robert arrived on time and gave detailed honest suggestions for tree improvement. He is very experienced and knowledgable. They went back with quote with service details. Price is very reasonable. Crew came next week and did tree trimming, fertilization, mulch and installed drip irrigation. Work is done professionally and good quality.

From Robert coming to assess our trees and giving his opinion to talking with Karen on the phone and over email to organize the service visits, it was easy to get a consultation, quote, approve, and have the work done. We had a tree removed and three fruit trees pruned. Would recommend them to anyone in the area.

We are very happy with the work that was done on our tree. The workers showed up on time and were done within a few hours. They did everything that we had asked for. The tree looks great and the crew did an excellent job of cleaning up the yard after they trimmed the tree. I will definitely ask them to come back for other work that needs to be done.

Can’t say enough about how happy we were with Robert and the team at SJ Tree Service. We needed to landscape our tiers in the backyard and couldn’t be more impressed with the results. They installed >20 trees and plants, all personally picked by Robert and then delivered to our house. They also connected all the irrigation for the new plants to our existing system and put down 10 cubic yards of Gorilla mulch. Team was very professional, friendly and completed the job on time and Robert came by when it was done to make sure we were happy with the results. Rare to find a company that really cares about their work and their customers. Highly recommend them for all your landscaping needs.
