We worked with Sequoia on a front and backyard design. Will has a great eye for design and a lot of knowledge about water needs and maintenance requirements. He worked within our budget and we were very pleased with the outcome. He and his staff were very friendly, professional, and great to work with.

We worked with Sequoia on a backyard project (expansion and drainage) this past summer (2023). We loved working with Will. He had great ideas and was flexible and open to considering and incorporating our ideas- which turned into an absolutely beautiful space. He was also willing to work within our budget. In fact, he recommended a tweak to our original ideas to maximize our funds and as a result, we have a much more beautiful, practical, and useable space.
Regarding drainage, I am happy to report that after all the rain so far this season, we have been waking up to a completely dry patio. Each storm has brought massive amounts of water that have drained perfectly. As a comparison, last year we had a swamp in multiple parts of the yard. It may not be where you want to spend your budget, but if you have drainage problems, it is well worth it.
Side note, we also referred Sequoia to a friend who had a smaller budget project, and they did a beautiful job for them as well. Therefore, no job too big or too small. Cannot wait to use our yard this summer.

From the beautifully landscaped areas, bushes, and privacy hedges to the outdoor kitchen with a grill, griddle, and lights to the outdoor seating area AND area for our new raised garden beds. Our backyard is finally livable and something we look at with smiles on our faces.

Haley, our designer, was a creative genius who truly listened to our vision and brought it to life with her brilliant ideas. She was a great listener and took our wants into a vision. Alonzo, our project manager, was equally fantastic - keeping everything on track, ensuring everything was done efficiently, and going above and beyond to make the process seamless.

The team was fast, professional, and so friendly, answering all our questions and providing helpful suggestions along the way. We made a couple requests as the project went on and they were more than happy to accommodate. They even redid our sprinkler system to make sure everything stays green and beautiful for years to come.

In regards to pricing, they were really transparent, broke up all the pricing and options, and didn't try to push unwanted/unrealistic additions to our project.

We recently worked with Sequoia on a front yard redesign, as well as a drainage and irrigation revamp following a home renovation project and are extremely happy with the process and results! Communication was outstanding from the get-go - Will performed the initial consultation and after laying out our various options, expertly weaved our project wants and needs into our limited front yard space - always quick getting back to us with answers to project tweaks and changes. Hayleigh (their plant expert) was great to work with, as she listened to what we liked about our previous plant variety and provided a really nice plant selection and layout. Once the shovels hit the ground, Jonathan and Alonzo communicated proactively the entire duration of the project and kept to an efficient project schedule, completing everything within budget and scope - with an outstanding-looking result. A special shout-out to the yard demo and install crew, who worked long days through a heat wave and were always friendly and courteous. We would highly recommend this professional and hard-working team!

For the longest time, we weren’t quite sure what to do with our overgrown back and front yards. We had a few ideas and concepts in mind, but struggled with how to bring everything together in a cohesive way. We tried a few things ourselves but the weeds started growing and the yards became unruly. Ultimately, we decided to go with Sequoia and are so glad we did!

From the very first meeting, the team listened closely to our ideas and offered thoughtful input on how to bring them to life. After meeting different members of the team, two things became immediately clear:

1. Their communication with us and among each other was seamless.

2. Their vision and understanding were spot-on.

They quickly grasped what we were going for and aligned with our vision in a way that made us feel heard and understood. They even found the perfect replacement pavers to closely resemble our existing ones!

The crew was nothing short of impressive! We had a huge list of work that included demo work, grading, drainage, irrigation, lighting, hardscapes, and planting. The pace and progress made each day absolutely blew us away. We would come home and just look around the house and say "wow they got all that done already?!". It felt like they knew exactly what needed to be done and executed it flawlessly. The craftsmanship and efficiency were truly masterful. Truly felt like they had a plan and everyone was on the same page.

We’re incredibly happy and grateful to have broken ground with Sequoia. It genuinely feels like they took our vision and brought it to life. The finished yards exceeded our expectations — and our dogs love it too!

Great experience all around! The Sequoia team has done a fantastic job on our rather a larger-scale project. Both Will and Haley went above and beyond to ensure our project stayed on track despite a couple of changes along the way, which was much appreciated as we began the work in March with a hope to complete it by early June to have the whole summer to enjoy our new beautiful outdoor space. To our delight, the work was done right as planned! The Sequoia team has been very responsive throughout the project (and even after we finished the work!), gave us a lot of useful insights, and were very focused on delivering 100%+ on things that mattered to us. Imagine your large yard is in need of a major refresh. Everything looks tired: the irrigation is inefficient; the flowers and shrubs are struggling; the grass is dying; the twisted pathway is dangerous. You interview several landscape companies. One doesn’t align with your vision. One is snarky and unprofessional. Another is way too expensive for what they offer. You almost give up, that is, until you read a fabulous review of Sequoia Outdoor Design and Build and decide to invite them to see your garden.

And I am so glad I did. These guys are fabulous. They are fun. They are happy and love what they do. They are professional and caring. There is never a problem for they treat it as a challenge among themselves behind closed doors. They address the client’s best interests.They are proud of what they do. They are patient and ensure your pleasure at every moment of the project. They work hard and are dedicated. The designer tweaked the plan several times for me. The project manager came every morning, and the crew of 4 was here from 8 to 5:30 everyday for nearly 3 weeks and made a point to clean up before they left. They did all of this with a smile.

Sequoia Outdoor Design and Build did an amazing job for us, and I highly recommend them. After all, I now feel like Julie Andrews when I walk my beautiful garden and sing its praises - and those of the fine people at Sequoia Outdoor.

We had a great experience working with Will and his team at Sequoia Outdoor. From design to demo to installation, every step was well communicated, coordinated, and executed. Our backyard has been transformed into a much more usable and beautiful space through Sequoia’s guidance on landscaping, pavers, and lighting.

We recently hired them to help clean up a very overgrown backyard, and the transformation is incredible. They were efficient, left the site spotless, and were very fair with their pricing. Communication was excellent throughout the process. We’re so happy with the results and will definitely be using them for ongoing maintenance.

Will is extremely responsive so getting an estimate and scheduling work was super easy. Also his prices were incredibly competitive among quotes I received. We worked with him for a one-time yard clean-up; he and Modesto did a phenomenal job at removing the weeds and trimming back the existing landscaping. Our home was totally transformed! We have scheduled future recurring maintenance with Will and would recommend their work to any homeowner looking for landscaping services.

Robert tackled all of our massive weed growth in our yard and gardens, he did a great job and left our yard clean and neat!! I recommend Robert Fisher highly!!

We love that Robert actually knows how to take care of plants, when to fertilize, etc. instead of just mowing and blowing. He takes great care of our yard.

Will and his men did a beautiful job refinishing a dining table. Every step was done meticulously and the table looks brand new.
