Rocco and team completely renovated our backyard, replacing a couple of old, cracked, concrete slabs and some dirt/grass with a paver patio, seating walls, artificial turf, a pergola, and spotlights. Rocco was excellent to work with. He was very clear in his communication about schedule, materials, etc and helped tremendously in the design of the project. The only issue we had was discovered after the project had been complete for a few months, when the rains returned. The drainage outlet was too close in elevation to the patio drains, and water was pooling on the patio. A quick call with Rocco got that fixed quickly. The true test of a company doesn't happen when things go perfectly. It happens when things don't go perfectly and how they respond. Black Diamond aced this test.

This was our second time working with Black Diamond and once again, the results were fantastic. From the first meeting with Rocco, who managed the project from start to finish, we had a great experience. We wanted a complete overhaul of our backyard--replacing the existing sloped and overgrown area with a level paver patio and low retaining wall. Rocco literally put the design together on his tablet and showed us a rendering in that first meeting. From there, the experience with the materials delivery and demo/installation crews was great--those guys work hard and fast! The final product really exceeded all our expectations and I'd recommend Rocco and his crew to anyone.
Black Diamond offers an incredible service. I knew nothing about landscaping, only what I wanted in my backyard, and they patiently walked me through step by step from start to end. First my project manager Sahar came out to do an on site survey and drew up a design with my specific requests while incorporating the already existing trees/water supply. The plan document was clear and my HOA approved it without issues. The workers worked efficiently to complete my yard, and in the end taught me how to set the irrigation timer. I also want to mention that Sahar was really responsive to my emails/texts even on weekends. She was so kind to get me a new timer and a new hose even though it was not her responsibility. Overall, the whole process was very smooth and painless. I think the price was fair considering that the design was part of the package. I would use Black Diamond again!
We started our project by contacting 4 companies with only 2 of them responding to our request. We then decided to go with Black Diamond based off of the professionalism they showed on our first consultation. Nobody else offers a 27-year warranty or has such an impressive track record. Our designer and project manager Steve Turner listened to us and worked with us to select the right color and pattern for our driveway, porch, and planter box. Steve redesigned the plan a few times and presented a three-dimensional image of what it would look like, and we knew it was right for us. He stayed very involved, working with the foremen Flavio for demolition and Jorge for installation. Jorge's crew was fast and clean. They stayed within budget and Steve was responsive to all my questions throughout. We recommend Black Diamond for your project.
