Jacob is our go to guy for our rental property. He responds quickly and has fixed a few issues promptly with a great knowledge base and a can do attitude. He keeps us informed about the nature of our electrical systems and comes with fit for purpose solutions.

I had a great experience with Bright Design. They responded same day and Jacob was extremely thorough in investigating and resolving my electrical problem. I plan to move forward with additional electrical issues. It’s wonderful to have found an electrician I can rely on.

Updated review: We hired Bright Design again! James came out fixed several outlets, removed a mystery switch and installed 2 new overhead lights. He was friendly and made sure the job was done right. I’ll hire them again!

First review: Jacob did a great job replacing the light in our kitchen. It was a tricky install but I couldn't do it myself due to the state of the electrical box in the ceiling. No problem for Jacob, he handled it and was very clean and meticulous. I'll be calling him again for sure. Nice to know I have someone I can call that I know will do a good job.

During a recent heat wave, our electricity went out in parts of three different rooms. We tried our own troubleshooting with no luck. We called our home warranty company, and they set up an appointment with Bright Design Electric, who contacted us right away & said that Jacob, the owner, would be there that same day. Jacob arrived, figured out the issue right away, and fixed the problem quickly. We were very pleased with his work and talked with him about coming back & doing some more work for us, which we will be doing. As much as I detest the home warranty company (Select Home Warranty), they at least did ONE thing right by sending us Jacob!

James gave us a full electrical inspection and was so thorough. These guys are the best. Will be calling them if we need any other electrical needs.

Jacob, the owner, responded quickly to an emergency call we placed for help getting our coffee roaster back up and running. It was late afternoon and Jacob's team were busy working other jobs so Jacob came out himself and took care of us. He made quick work of diagnosing the issue and had us back up and running less than 30 mins after he arrived. Very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was running out of time as the signing date for the sale of my home was within just a couple of days. I let him know what I was up against. The electricity had problems. It was absolutely necessary to have the home 100% safe for the new owners. He found a way to get to my home ASAP. He quickly diagnosed the problem, made the repairs and tested his work.
The result was safe and beautiful lighting for the new owners and their family.
For his wonderful service, I am now scheduling Jacob for electrical work at my other rental properties and my family home. He earned my trust, appreciation and respect.

Jacob is wonderful. He came out the same day I called him with an urgent project, and he got it done the following day, despite his busy schedule. He went above and beyond to get me on the schedule and stayed late to finish the lighting installation. He's a genuinely kind person and an excellent electrician. I'll be working with him for all my electrical needs moving forward... In fact, he's coming back to install more lighting on my property this week. We like things nice and BRIGHT. :)

Jacob is from Georgia, and the quiet, thoughtful approach he applied to untangling a 50’s era wiring to locate a hidden short was unexpected. He carefully explained his process as I walked him through the house, pointing out the spots I thought were problematic. I was prepared to cut into the wall, but this was unnecessary because he deduced the issue, tested it, and was correct. I’ve done two remodels and have experience working with electricians. They were good too, but I didn’t feel a need to write a review for either of them. Jacob is competent, thoughtful, and easy to work with. His bid for replacing my panel was below all others—very reasonable—and not marked up because my house is in Marin. I highly recommend his work.

Terrific experience. I needed an outdoor outlet replaced on short notice. Bright Side came out on a Saturday and replaced and sealed the outlet. Top notch work and a great value.

I’ve been remodeling home for 30 years. Jacob is far and above other electricians I’ve used. Within months resolved a problem 3 others could not. Also an idea man! Polite, personable, on time and reasonable.

Jacob and the Bright Design team were great. They took care of an unexpected and unexpectedly large project involving replacement of an electrical panel and running several new circuits on an older home. Jacob was very attentive and took a lot of time to explain what the project would involve, including answering my many questions. He was very responsive throughout the project. Ozzy, the electrician who did much of the on-site work, was efficient, pleasant, and also very willing to answer questions. I will definitely call Bright Design again when I need more electrical work done.

He came out and quickly diagnosed our issue, and he and Aaron had everything repaired and installed smoothly. They also took the time to walk us through how to avoid similar problems in the future, which we appreciated. Pricing was very fair and completely transparent; the entire experience really was seamless from start to finish.

Next up: Upgrading our panel and service—something we honestly haven’t been looking forward to—our home is older and wasn’t built with EV charging in mind—but now I might actually a bit excited about it, because I know Bright Design will have our back. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

BDE was easy to schedule with, they sent James out within hours of my request to deal with an ungrounded situation that gave me a nasty zap. Despite my various panels being mislabeled and generally confusing, James preserved happily until he was able to get the breaker connected to the problem turned off so we can hunt around for the grounding line or lack thereof. I appreciated his good nature and can do attitude! Will use them again with any electrical issues that arise

I had a perplexing issue with a coveted, hanging light fixture by our front door. Jacob came to the rescue, carving out time from of a busy day to come to our home for this tiny job. He valiantly stood on the top of his tall ladder to take it down from our very high ceilings, and within a half an hour, it was repaired, reinstalled and back to its former glory. Unheard of for most electricians who would sneeze at this small job. There seems to be no project too small or complex for this talented man.
