Technician was experienced, dependable and reliable. Service was scheduled quickly and once parts were ready, technician arrived on time and fixed the refrigerator within a couple of hours.

Updated 11/04/2024: AHS dispatched another company called Robson Appliances for a second opinion. The technician came today and within 10 mins, they were able to reattach the handle back to the microwave door without the need to order any additional parts. I still cannot believe the sheer incompetence of AG Appliance and their technicians. AHS should drop them as a contract provider.

    ----------- Original Review --------------------
Microwave door handle fell off. Contacted my home warranty company American Home Shield. They dispatched AG Appliance Repair. The technician showed up for 2 mins, took some photos and say if the home warranty company approves it, it is an easy job, about 5 mins. He then left. 2 days later, I got a notification from AHS that action is required. I called AHS back and they said per AG Appliance Repair, they had contacted the manufacturer and the door handle falling off can only be abuse, not wear and tear.

I had mentioned to AHS that the built in microwave was original builder equipment which is over 20+ years old. The handle is plastic. It has to be wear and tear if we're using the handle multiple times a day to open and close the microwave door. Plastic fatigue happens and its already a wonder the door handle hasn't broken off sooner. AHS is dispatching another appliance company for a second opinion.

    DO NOT USE!!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. The tech doesn’t speak English. I had to use Google translate to Russian to communicate with him. He was curt, rushes out the door without saying anything. He has been back 3 times going on 4th. The front desk also hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. No manager there. Then when I asked to speak to the owner. No owner there!!!!

I appreciate your quick reply, even though I contacted you again with the same issue through Home Warranty. I am also delighted that you identified the exact cause of the error and resolved it properly. Furthermore, you resolved it without any additional charges, even though it was my second visit.

Terrible. DO NOT USE. As other reviewers have stated, this company LIES. They do not seem to know how to fix the appliances they are called out on. Telephone answerer is VERY rude and hangs up on you if you tell her something is incorrect. Referred by AHS, and repair person has been here 4 times with no fix, then lied and told AHS the repair was made on a completely different appliance now AHS won't send another company out for the original appliance. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They need to be out of business, and hopefully will be soon.

I, like other reviewers, would like to be able to leave a "zero" rating for this company. I was directed to this company for repairs of my refrigerator under the Lowes' protection plan, because of contaminated water coming out of the refrigerator's water service (and not the household water system) . The technician stayed no longer than 5 minutes, and, without hearing the full description of the problem, stated that this was not something his company would handle. On leaving, he indicated that the company would be contacting me re possibly replacing the hoses to the water service but after 4 days, no one has contacted me and, in fact, I received an email from a company called Assurant, which falsely claimed on behalf of AG Appliance that "Your Repair is Complete." After this experience, I can fully understand why AG Appliance has such a consistently low rating by so many reviewers but cannot understand why a company like Lowes, with a reputation to protect, would even consider sending any of their customers to this company under their protection plan. RLY

Our 2 year old KitchenAid wall oven started making a clicking noise in the blower so we scheduled a services visit with Fidelity Home Warranty and had an appliance repair person from AG Appliance come out to assess it. The technician was in a hurry and would not even wait for me to turn on the oven to demonstrate the noise before he called Fidelity and pronounced that the oven needed a new blower and a new thermostat. A week or two later, AG Appliance returned and installed the new blower and thermostat but did not stay long enough to see if the problem was resolved.

I called Fidelity back and said the oven was still not working properly and they sent out a different repair person from AG. This person told me that the blower noise was due to improper installation and that we should reach out to the installer and have him fix it.

I called our electrician who installed the oven during our total kitchen remodel 2 years prior and he uninstalled the oven (pulled it out of the wall), turned it on, and the blower fan continued to make the same noise, metal hitting metal, when we turned it on.

Clearly neither service technician knew what they were doing so now we are paying for KitchenAid to come out to repair it.

AG repair is awful! They cannot fix anything. Let your homeowner warranty company know you do not want them in your home! They don’t know how to fix anything! I have been without a washer for a month and they won’t tell the warranty company they can’t fix it. They are a vile company do not allow them in your home. American home shield will be canceled once they cash me out for a new washer.

    Liars.
They came out to do an inspection/repair for my washing machine. This is through a home insurance plan. Worker told us one thing, and the insurance company something completely different. He didn't put ANYTHING down on his invoice so I can't fight what he told us. Do NOT use them. I have requested that my insurance company remove them from the list of possible repair people in the future.

Disappointed. Service company was chosen by our home warranty company Fidelity Home Warranty to repair a leaky clothes washer. First two trips to the house seemed like we were good. Tech was clean, respectful and on time. First trip he ordered parts. Second trip he installed those parts. Shortly after, the appliance was leaking again. Tech came out a third time. He stated that the home warranty company didn't authorize an additional part he had requested the first time," Maybe they will authorize it now". Received a call from the home warranty company telling us that we owe them another service call-out fee because the techs notes stated that it was a new issue/leak. Someone here isn't speaking truth. Whether it is Fidelity or AG Appliance I cannot say with 100% accuracy....but I am disappointed either way.

IT WAS AN ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AG APPLIANCE! Either they are completely incompetent at their jobs, or they are outright SCAMMERS. They have come to my house THREE TIMES and still CANNOT FIX MY DISHWASHER! The same clueless technician shows up every time, repeats the exact same useless procedure, and then guesses that a part needs to be replaced—without even properly diagnosing the issue! This is beyond ridiculous. My tenant has been without a working dishwasher for nearly TWO MONTHS because of their utter incompetence!

I am FURIOUS at this level of service. After checking Yelp and Google, I am NOT SURPRISED—they have a pathetic rating of 1.9 stars on Yelp and an even worse 1.3 stars on Google! How does a company this terrible even stay in business?! And more importantly, why is AMERICAN HOME SHIELD still using them as a vendor?! AHS should be ASHAMED of associating with such a company.

This is unacceptable and a complete scam. If this is the kind of service AHS continues to support, I will have no choice but to switch to another home warranty provider. Enough is enough!

This company was sent out by our home warranty to repair our washer.
The washer started acting up so we called for service. The technician was nice but was only in our home for 2 minutes. He looked at the washer took a picture and told me it was the transmission.

AG Appliance proceeded to tell the home warranty that the washer had been abused by overloading! My wife and I are in our 70's and do very little loads of wash. It was obvious AG Appliance just wanted to collect the $85 co-pay and not deal with our washer.

We are on a fixed income and cannot afford to replace it. That is why I have the home warranty.

My home warranty asked me to call the company and when I did they hung up on me.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Our washer is 15 + years old and we have had the home warranty on it for 7+ years.

Worst service ever. I had to use this company because of my home warranty. From now on I prefer to buy a new appliance rather than deal with this scam company.
It takes them several appointments to get to correct diagnosis and at the end they look for a justification not to do the repair.

I had a great experience with AG appliance. The technician Martin came and diagnosed the problem. He promptly ordered it, came back 10 days later and fixed it.

If your fridge is not cooling, call this company! We had an amazing experience with them. They repaired our fridge and now it works perfectly. They're extremely reliable and always willing to assist, offering the great service we all deserve.

My home warranty recommended this company as a quality shop. I guess they didn’t check the google ratings. What a shocker that they have a 1 rating. The repair guy came out to look at my ice maker and saw that the plastic rail was cracked preventing the rollers from gliding smoothly across to pull out the ice bin. The repair guy said he would submit a request to home warranty about getting it covered. He said he would order the part and come back and install it in about 5 days. 2 weeks go by and I don’t hear back from the company. I call my home warranty and they said AG appliance submitted a report that the rail was broke from negligence and not normal wear and tear. I have a 30 year old refrigerator which is good quality but plastic parts wear out over time. I can’t believe how dishonest this company is. They want to take my service payment and not perform any work where they aren’t able to rip people off. Instead, they will lie. Don’t do business with this dishonest company.

SCAMMER COMPANY! If I could give a zero I would. Very rude repair guy came out to repair dryer did not even open dryer up. Said he was going to order a part. When I questioned him on it became even more hostile. I had to tell him to leave my house and cancel the order. I called the office right after and said what happened and told the lady to cancel the order. A week later I get a text that parts has been order through my warranty. I called the office the lady was very rude and kept hanging up on me. Now when I call back she just leaves me in the que and will not answer. I am going to report them to my warranty company and if I have to I will sue them. I do not know how this company is still on the warranty lists to do business with people with all these bad reviews!

AHS home warranty sent this company which is not reliable AT ALL, you cannot talk to someone, no update, basically you have no idea what they are doing. They did not even go the property and they have said to AHS that the job is completed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company, be very careful with them, they make your times uncomfortable

Awful. Technician “worked” for 15 minutes, pretending to fix it. He did not. He then lied to my home warranty saying that there was no problem

How are they still in business. I cannot believe they are still in business. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. It takes a lot for a company to upset me this much. To be more specific, it takes 2 months of countless calls, more than 3 no-show appointments, a manager who is NEVER present, callers who are NEVER supervised, 10 tiles broken by their technician and stress that is ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTHY ANY OF YOUR TIME. I told the caller at the company today that she needs to quit her job. This is the worst company I have ever come across. My landlord is an angel and that is the only reason I have been putting up with this company, but come on, enough is enough.
