Davey works for PG&E. Think low bid. For over 20 years now Davey has been coming out and hacking on my trees. The workers are careless and lazy about damaging your property and the trees. Think LOW BID. They have damaged my fence, left my farm gate open, and left debris in my driveway and my drainage ditches that I had to clean up. I finally called them on it and said you left dead limbs hanging over the road and over my residence and since safety is your primary concern come fix what you’ve left me with. They refused. So I paid out-of-pocket to have my trees cleaned up and in an effort to try to save them. Next time you’re driving down the road way just look up at the trees you’ll be able to spot Daveys work with no problem. Look for the trees that are hanging over the roadway looking like they’re ready to fall. Ever wonder why so many trees are falling into the roadway or into the powerlines look no further. Maybe after the fire lawsuits are all settled PG&E you’ll pay a little bit more to have the tree trimming done by a professional company. That is if PG&E and Davey tree and Western ECI are still in business. Hire anybody else a monkey at the zoo could probably do a better job with the pole saw.

Jess Running came out immediately to assess the dangling limb on the large Italian Pine in my front walkway, gave me an estimate and completed the work the next day. Jess is seriously the nicest guy. Service was quick and professional, they removed some dead trees and a tree that had fallen on the phone line. The crew was safe and efficient. They inspected the other trees to ensure they were healthy. I couldn't have asked for better service!

After the latest Calistoga fire came within 100 yards of my front door, I called Davey Tree to remove trees and create a buffer between the forest and my home. A team of Davey tree experts arrived promptly at my home Monday morning. They then proceeded to transform my overgrown oak into to a thing of beauty. This office has performed over 100 jobs for us over the years and the home owners have been overjoyed with the work. We have never had any complaints and the work has been done in a timely fashion and up to the highest professional standards. I contacted Davey Tree Company for an estimate. The fellow who came, was a white man. I have multi million dollar properties, in Sonoma and Marin counties. He seemed surprised that I was the owner. You see, I am a black woman of Latin background.

I received the estimate and agreed to have the job done on a particular tree in this property.

I called the man who initially came, to no avail. I called the main office, to no avail.

Ten days later, on a Friday, after trying one last time, Mr. Inman called saying he was camping and that he'll call on Monday. Today is Thursday, and I have received no calls. He insinuated during the estimate that they don't like "to deal with "certain kinds of people". Now I see why.

Davey Tree Company is a racist company. They're bigots. No questions.

Call them. Listen to the recording. NO SPANISH SPEAKERS WELCOME! - unless they're doing manual labor for them at cheap prices.

I can't say enough good about Davey Tree. A limb from my 250 year old oak tree fell. David was out right away to assess the situation. He was very professional, on time when promised. David worked very well with my insurance Co. The entire tree ended up needing to be taken down. They did it quickly and very professionally. The crew was hard working and everyday cleaned up what they didn't have time to finish. Highly recommended.

My wife and I are extremely happy with the work performed by Davey Tree. Our positive experience started with David Inman who demonstrated a high degree of tree knowledge. He was responsive to our questions and concerns and came up with excellent recommendations. The crew (Josh, David, and Frank) arrived on time, did a thorough walk-through with us, and did an excellent job of pruning and shaping our trees. They made adjustments as requested and pointed out the best way to prune the trees without harming them. We highly recommend Davey Tree and will gladly call them in the next time we need tree help.

The arborist (Alex) came and gave a thorough tour of the property and presented a reasonable set of guidelines. The guys showed up, on time, artful in their work, fast, cleaned up. Excellent for start to finish.

I got a speedy response when I called Davey Tree. They were out and made an assessment of the situation (3 mature beeches infested with aphids, overgrown and throwing shade on my solar panels). Three recommendations: deep fertilizing, crown trimming, and early next year. a thorough aphid treatment. Within a few days fertilizing and trimming was done...I'm so happy with the work so far....the trees are greatly thinned, but still look natural and my solar panels are now in the sparkling sun. Great cleanup and haul away after. I highly recommend the Sonoma County crew.

I highly recommend Davey Tree Service. I live in Napa and with all the recent storms, I was nervous about a large tree that overhangs my house. From the time I contacted them, they quickly responded, gave me a very reasonable bid, and within a week the job is done (1-day). I was not expecting this to be done so quickly and it may not always be the case. I am so impressed!! David Inman is very knowledgeable and I trust his expertise. The 3-man crew that did the work - excellent! They worked quickly, are professionals and were courteous and kind. Everything was professionally done and my trees look great! Their cleanup very impressive and impeccable! I have used their services for many years and have always been happy with the work. Several years ago I had a large tree removed, they ground the stump, and it was perfect! I will not use anyone else and recommend them to everyone. Don't hesitate. We had an Oak tree that possibly had a fungal problem, so Patrick came out to take a look. He sent Nic and Pablo out later to take samples. They were very careful with proper sample collection. I had wanted a little trimming and thinning done on a few trees as well, so they were able to come out a couple of days later to do the work. They did such a great job on the trees, explaining to me what would be best to trim off for the health and aesthetics of the trees. So I learned a few things about the trees in the process. Nic and Pablo were friendly, professional, explained their strategy clearly, involved me in the process of deciding how much and where to trim, and our trees look beautiful! Expert service from all three of the guys, I highly recommend Davey Tree.

The Davey crew just completed removal of a large willow located about 6 feet from my office building. The tree had a large branch break and fall against the building and evaluation showed significant rot and the entire tree needed to go. Their work was perfect and none of the landscape features and signage around the tree were damaged, nor was the building. They completed the work on time within a week of giving me a quote. Their fee was competitive with small local tree services and the peace-of-mind I had using a large proven company was priceless. They have the equipment, personnel, training, and procedures in place to ensure the job is completed safely and efficiently. They are the only firm I will contact if the need arises in the future.
