Initial visit for an estimate was great. We responded to the estimate email saying that we wished work to begin as soon as they were able, and had a few questions. Without a response to our email, we were taken quite by surprise that workers showed up one day while we were away. We were never notified of a start date by phone or email, and had not even sent in a signed contract. I'm willing to overlook the lack of communication as an oversight.
Aside from this, the tree work itself was great!
Thinning work on 4 large oaks was very well done...shout out to foreman/climber Dave Piatkowski! All 3 of the crew were great.
Would hire again.

Our oaks needed a trim, and our landscape team recommended we contact Davey Tree Expert Company. Their service coordinator and arborist Samantha Gammell came out to meet with us, walk the property and evaluate our needs. She sent us a reasonable proposal, and we set a date. The Davey team arrived at the appointed time, they were all courteous, efficient and highly skilled.
I would definitely recommend Davey Tree Expert Company.

We contracted Davy to remove a large dead oak tree and willow, a couple more diseased oak trees, and top remaining willows in a somewhat difficult location. They did an outstanding job and responded politely and helpfully to all of our requests.

Davey Tree did a great job helping to save our Chinaberry Tree.
It has a bark fungus and is receiving treatment. Plus we had cabling & bracing too. Thanks TJ and Daveytree.

Had a great experience with Davey Tree again this year! Made an appointment with TJ who arrived promptly and surveyed the job and came up with a reasonable quote within a day. The job was scheduled, the crew showed up on time and did a great job clearing the excess growth from the hedge high above our pool. They swept the site and took all the cuttings away. An outstanding experience all around!

I wanted to share how great this company is! I had trees trimmed, a 16’ Pine tree removed from a very narrow area. From the start this company is so thought full and caring. They went out of their way to take care of my needs. I give them 5 stars because they did that good and I am so happy using them. Samantha is great!! She organized all that I needed to get done and pulled it off perfectly!

I have a large coastal redwood in my front yard. It was oddly shaped with a lot of dead wood throughout, providing a challenging task for the Davey crew. They came through the task with flying colors, listening to my input along the way. And they cleaned up the giant mess the trimming created. Thank you Davey for a job well done!

Davey and arborist TJ are my go to tree company for the last 5 years. My trees and even some of my very large bushes are in excellent shape and health from Davey’s trimming, removing, pruning and deep root fertilizing. They are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I’m so pleased that they are as interested in the aesthetic of my trees as I am and take their time in achieving that visual quality.

Davey Tree Service recently trimmed trees for PG&E on the property I’m renting, but they left all of the debris in the driveway and sidewalk area without cleaning it up. I contacted PG&E twice to request removal of the debris, and it took over two weeks for Davey to return.

When their crew finally arrived, they set up their equipment but then sat on the curb for 35–40 minutes without doing any work. They eventually left without removing any of the debris. This was a complete waste of time and resources, and the mess is still unresolved.

I hope PG&E reevaluates their use of this contractor. Situations like this reflect poorly on their service and ultimately contribute to higher costs for customers.

I contacted Davey Trees after part of my redwood tree fell in a storm with 90 + mph wind gusts. The team came out and cleaned up the storm damage. They also went up all three trees for an arial inspection. Unfortunately the tree with the bifurcation that fell left unsafe damage to the remaining stem and we had to top the tree the following day. TJ, Gabriel and Jacob were all amazing. TJ was professional, efficient and great to work with. Gabriel and Jacob were professional, efficient and went above and beyond with every step of the process. They showed me pictures if what the found in the arial inspection. TJ was great at explaining the plan. Gabriel and Jacob cleaned all the debris from my yard meticulously. Even though I had to top my redwood, the process was professional and efficient with very kind people.I will use Davey Trees again. I would totally recommend this company.

Very happy and satisfied with Davey Tree Expert Co. They came out for an initial inspection and quickly sent a clear, concise and fair estimate proposal. It was easy to schedule the work day, team members are courteous, professional and very quick. They made a concerted effort to not inconvenience us and to allow our cars in and out of the yard. They cleaned up all debris, did an excellent job on my 2 trees. I am happy with my newly trimmed trees and am a long-time repeat customer of Davey Tree Expert Co.

We had an awesome team come by today to trim out beloved olive trees. The guys were on time, professional, asked questions to make sure we got what we wanted, and they worked well together. Great job!

Davey did a perfect job. The 75' tree was within 3 feet of my house, 3 feet from my neighbors fence and 6 feet from another neighbor's garage. They took it down with no damage to anything and cleaned up. Another well known tree company in the Carmel area looked at the job and didn't quote even after I called twice. A company that I didn't really trust did give me a low ball quote but risk to me was too great so I picked Davey and was glad I did.Thanks

Did a great job removing all the dangerous branches on our 3 redwoods here Felton. The crew came prepared and made quick work of a big job. They also removed some acacias from a tricky spot near the house with no drama.

These guys know their stuff - for our job they were able to work around sheds, structures and immobile vehicles. You might pay a bit more with them, but the work is worth it.

Overall, they did a great job. Will call them back to work on our trees when we need more work done.
