My experience with Eagle Construction has been worst than I imagined possible. Hundreds of emails ago, before spending ~1000 hours managing their project, and 2 years ago, Nationwide assigned Eagle Construction to my project. The estimator, Zach, went over everything that they would be repairing and quoted ~$8000. It was clear to me that the project would be much more costly than that (at this point the bid is up to ~$45,000), and I didn't really want to use EC in the first place (their reputation is terrible...for a good reason). Unfortunately, I apparently had no choice but to stick with Eagle Construction or to cash out the $8,000 and have a more reputable company perform the repairs, which was obviously not feasible for that price.
In the original project I was promised that replacing the deck, reframing the front door, and replacing siding were all part of the project. Due to the ambiguous way that EC writes their quotes (by hours of work and square feet of material), I had no choice but to trust what they told me. Since then, they have decided that much of the work which was promised as part of the project is no longer and was never included in the contract.
EC has made a number of significant and costly errors. They worked with JK architecture and produced plans that did not remotely reflect the work discussed; although I asked to see these plans many times, they never showed them to me until after they were submitted to El Dorado county and approved! At this point, new plans had to be drawn up and submitted, where they sat in limbo at the building department for months because of EC's lack of capability.
Over the years which this project has taken, EC has made commitments to timelines which they have then totally disregarded. I felt stuck with them because over the months they made change orders so that the cost of the work more closely reflects what is required (I have had three change orders so far), and in each change order they have provided themselves extra time in order to keep themselves from violating the initially contracted and committed timeline. However, since they still have yet to deliver a quote that would be reasonable for completing the work required for the repair (something I could cash out and have a reputable company complete), I am still stuck with them to this day.
All of this aside, I was optimistic that the workmanship would be OK. I was wrong. There seem to be no two boards that are cut flush; there are large gaps all over, the nailing looks like something I would have done when I was 5. I have never before seen work so subpar.
Perhaps dangerously, EC totally disregarded the county plans; the more I learn about the project the more I realize they did wrong. EC seems happy to correct many of these errors, but only after I notice them and call them out (in fact, they are also happy to let themselves into my house without my knowledge or permission to correct these errors, even though I have repeatedly reprimanded them for unannounced and unauthorized visits. Eventually I reported them to the local police to get these visits to stop.)
Here is a short list of some of the things I think that EC initially did wrong, (and don't count on the inspector catching these, because mine didn't). EC did not put required load bearing blocking beneath the house. EC left gaps between the load bearing rafters and ridge board. EC did not perform 2 of the 3 inspections required by the plans. EC did not apply the required brackets, and did not apply the required nails to the brackets they did use. EC used structural timber that does not meet the building code requirements. EC apparently intended to do the deck repair without obtaining an applicable permit (also, recall that complete replacement was promised).
I tried to keep this short, so there is a lot I left out. The takeaway is: find another contractor. No matter what your insurance company says (they said they were my only choice), no matter what they promises you (it's probably all a lie anyways), no matter what...find another contractor. -
When we had a fire in our house, and Eagle Construction did the repair. The schedule was kept, the work was done perfectly. They made sure that we were happy with the result and all at a very reasonable price. From beginning to end, they showed professionalism and made the process stress-free. Highly recommend

I had the unfortunate event of needing emergency response in my home. Eagle Construction was very prompt in their response sending Brenda out to assess damages. She was very informative and helpful. When her assessment was completed, we were assigned Chris Cheary as our project manager. I can not express how impressed I was by his professionalism and commitment to make this process go as easily as possible. Chris made contact me on a regular basis and always quickly responded when I had questions. He made sure I knew exactly who would be coming into our home, when we should expect them and what they were going to be doing. He checked in with me to make sure I felt comfortable with the workers and I was happy with their work.
Ken, the painter Chris sent in, worked quickly and his experience showed in the result of his work. He gave daily reports as to what the plan was for the day and ensured he completed what he stated.
Chris sent in Valter and Edgar to do our flooring. I can not stress enough their exceptional quality of work. They were meticulous in their installation and ensured all workplaces were kept clean with minimal mess. The compassion and concern they showed to us during this time of restoration was valued and appreciated. I appreciate the impeccable job they did as they worked so diligently on every area of our floor. Each day they informed us of the plan for the day and completed it, making sure we were satisfied with the progress and completion.
Anthony the plumber was very efficient and timely in completing his work.
Chris’s expertise, professionalism conscientiousness, concern, and compassion for us and his crew along with his ability to jump in and help his crew when needed, just goes to his commitment to his customers and team. His contact and availability to us and his team was impressive. You can tell the quality of someone by how highly their team speaks of them. Chris’s team praised him and his character repeatedly. Which also shows the quality of their characters as well as Chris’s.
Thank you Eagle Construction for sending us Chris and his team. We truly do appreciate their professionalism, courtesy, compassion and dedication to their profession and quality of work. They represent your company extremely well. They speak of Eagle Constructions belief of treating customers as family in their most dire situation. You must be so proud. Thank you again! -
We hired Eagle Construction out of there Sonora Branch after we had a our Kitchen, Dining Room and Living room flood when a water line let go. Our project Manger John was great to work with and his crew was really good and always should up when they said they would.

Eagle did a fantastic thorough job on my floor repair. It took longer than I wanted but they kept me updated through the whole process. I had to work with several people but the coordinating contractor Rueben C. orchestrated the various departments smoothly and efficiently. He responded to my calls immediately! Fantastic work!

Our master and upstairs hall bathrooms had significant water damage from a leak in our ceiling. Eagle Construction was a choice provided through our home insurance and when Mike came out to do our estimate we were happy to go forward with this company for our repairs. The receptionist, Michelle, was always pleasant to speak with and quick to respond to our messages. Our Customer Relations person, Dante, was also very quick to respond to our messages and helped us to feel confident about our decision to move forward with this company. Our Project Manager Ruben was a true godsend! We could call or message him at any time and get a prompt response. He always had answers for our questions and care for our concerns. His team, which consisted of, Enrique, Ivan, and Jake, did an excellent job, and they even managed to get the job done before the estimated deadline, and the work, for being fast, was efficient. I would absolutely recommend this company especially Ruben and his team for anyone to use, and we would 100% use this company again for future home repairs.
With care,
Jay and Rose Guitron -
Where do I even begin?! We were woken up at 3 am on a Sunday in March by a car....in our living room. Our insurance called Eagle Construction for an emergency board up and that's when we met this crew. They were out very quickly, got our home boarded up extremely well, and then we began the process of rebuilding. We were assigned Ruben to be our project coordinator and he was beyond amazing. Our home needed ALOT of work after the accident. Ruben kept us informed, was friendly, provided his professional opinion on things such as interior colors, types of new door, etc. The entire team at Eagle Construction was absolutely beyond amazing. I cant thank Ruben and his team enough with helping us rebuild our family home and giving us a chance at a new start!

Eagle Construction has been so attentive to the repair of our home after a very large limb from our oak tree broke off and landed on our roof causing extensive damage to the exterior and interior of our home. They were prompt in responding immediately once contacted and worked very closely with us and our insurance company. I initially met with Zach who kept in close contact until a project manager was assigned. Also, Michelle in the office was very responsive and friendly in her communication. Ruben was assigned as our project manager. Zach informed me when Ruben was assigned that Ruben was excellent and he was right! Ruben has been so communicative throughout the entire process. He has kept me informed of everything happening with the repair needs of our home as well as when the workers would be at our home completing each area. I felt that Ruben has been our advocate through this process ensuring that we have been completely satisfied with every aspect of the repairs. Above all of this, Ruben has always been so gracious and responsive. He answers his phone when I call and if he's not available, he texts to let me know when he will return my call. I have worked so closely with him over the past 7 months that I can honestly say I will miss him when the work is completed! Also, because Eagle works directly with the insurance company, I have a three-year warranty on the work. Thank you Ruben and Eagle Construction for helping to minimize the stress that comes with this type of home repair. We have felt confident leaving our repairs in your hands.

All the employees were wonderful and polite I enjoyed having them over they did a great job and well as the office people including Larry.

Very professional team. kept the process very clear and simple for me to follow. every time one of the team came into clean up or make repairs, they made sure to clean up and checked with me throughout the steps to verify it was to my standards. Ivan was the last team member I worked with and couldn't have asked for a more proficient and expert in his trade. he assisted with setting up a new fan, some minor paint touch ups and other tasks. I would recommend Eagle Construction to anyone and would work with them again

We are currently going through a water damage claim through our home insurance and we had Eagle Construction Water Mitigation team here handling 2 pipes breaking a few months apart just before and during the pandemic. Here we are again with another pipe break under the slab in another area. This happened on Saturday July 8th, 2023 and less than 24 hours Eagle Construction Water mitigation team sent out a team member by the name of RAFA (I hope I spelled that right and if not I apologize). Rafa just got in there, so fast, trying to stop the water from moving further through out the floors and walls. Rafa was fast and efficient. It was really hot that day and he did not let the heat stop him from getting the job done. When Rafa came to a stop, he said he wanted to make sure this was done right and treat our home as if it was his own. My husband and I are so grateful for him and we appreciated him taking action to care of our home as his own personal values into this job. The follow up day we had Roman come out with his team from Eagle Water Mitigation and he just handled everything as we needed it done. With clear communication and collaboration with us as well. We are a family of five and they were willing to work with our schedule as well with them. When Roman and manager Ron said they would be at our house they showed up on time. We have had nothing but an excellent experience with Eagle Construction Water Mitigation team and that is why we chose them again because of their handwork and own personal values with integrity. The photos we have do not show how bad it was all underneath and what they had to remove. There was just wall to wall water damage everywhere and a nightmare when all this happened. When the plumbers came to do the repairs 4 days later, Eagle Construction manager Ron made sure someone was there to take out whatever sheetrock was needed. Nothing but time efficiency with Eagle Construction water mitigation.

Ruben and his crew from Eagle Construction were professional, polite and did a great job with my bathroom restoration. They also gave a 5 year warranty on.their work.

Eagle Construction, overall, did a fantastic job with the project they were hired to do. Everyone who had a specific task, which included the packing, flooring, and the drywall repair and painting specialists were nothing less than professional. Each and everyone of the workers who entered my house treated both my family and our personal property as if it were their own. Rob, the project supervisor, did an out standing job with both managing the project and communicating with me as necessary. I will definitely use this company again for future projects, and spread the word to friends and family as well. Great job guys!

I’m beyond satisfied with the amazing work Ruben and his team did! From start to finish, they made the entire process simple, smooth, and completely stress-free. You can tell they truly care about their work and their customers. They showed up on time, worked hard, paid attention to every detail, and made sure everything was done right.
Ruben and the team are hands down the best – professional, reliable, and incredibly easy to work with. Their dedication and work ethic really stand out. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a team that goes above and beyond. Thank you again for such a great experience! -
We used Eagle Construction for our master bathroom remodel. They were great! Our project manager, Ruben, and his entire team were amazing. They were easy to work with, respectful of our time, and did a beautiful job.

Paul was excellent, truthful and I felt secure with him and he knew his job. Foundation had not settled properly and Eagle had to repair the damage. The entire team was wonderful and they put a barrier so I could watch my ball games. I felt so comfortable and got 2 hugs when the job was completed. All the people were so nice and I am always blessed. Thank you for all.your hard work Eagle!!!

I debated about reviewing this company because I didn’t have a lot of nice things to say compared to the nice things I do have to say. But they worked on my house from 2021 to 2022 and it still irritates me till this day in 2024 the work that was done in here, they were very sloppy in many areas. They took over a year to do something that would’ve took two months. And when they left, I still had to paint over splashes of I don’t know what on my wall after I asked them to paint over it.. if I have a new wall I shouldn’t have splashes of cement or whatever the dark grey stuff was on my wall. My foot got poked by many of those carpet needle things. I don’t even know what they’re called, but I assume they’re supposed to be holding down the floor, which is creaky and sounding like it’s not nailed down fully. Every area in my wall where there’s a pipe like under the bathroom sink and in the laundry area has a big hole gap in the wall. It’s very tacky. It’s very irritating to still be looking at. Also, under my window seal, there are gaps and holes. In some ways they tried to help me, but they also costed me money, and they were very rude about it. For example, I paid an electrician to fix my doorbells and they were working doorbells until Eagle Construction came to work in my house and all of a sudden my doorbells were not working and they did not want to fix it and he gave me a attitude about it. They gave me two different baseboard sizes. I just went with it because they didn’t have what they were supposed to have and they were taking long enough and I wanted to go home with my toddler. Also, the trimming on the wall they left the big ugly gap in the trimming where the wall was not even or sanded down evenly.. it was clumpy in that area and I had to ask him to fix it. He caught an attitude about that, and then turn around and put a different type of trimming in my hallway that doesn’t match the rest of the house without even telling me so I came home to find that I have a different trimming in my hallway versus the rest of the house. They left three outlets without power too. I promise I can go on and on about the things I don’t like, but there were a couple ways that they did help me and I acknowledge that, but you can’t help me and cost me money at the same time ..that cancels out the Help. The lack of response, the rudeness plus they barely worked in my house. It took so long because they were almost never there, and he yelled at me when I was Frustrated, calling him out for his lack of delivering on his word. I had to call out many things that were not done right. He spoke to me like I was incompetent at times. I work in the construction industry myself so he was upset that he couldn’t just tell me anything and I believe it. In some ways, I feel like they tried to take advantage of me because I’m a female (and hopefully not because I’m a black female) who didn’t have that much money. I do feel discriminated against in someway but the man Robert who tried to help me by charging me only $200 to fix a corner of dry rot and save me money in some areas like doing the hallway closet differently. He wasn’t the one working in my house, but he was the one catching many attitudes! Honestly, if I had to weigh the good and the bad, the bad outweigh, the good, and although it looked nice when done I would never hire them again.

If you appreciate excellent, detail-oriented work, professional project management, and personable and skilled workers who always show up exactly when they say they will, all for a very reasonable price, Eagle Construction is your go-to. Ron Lerma on the remediation side and Rob Marshall on the repair side are the absolute best; friendly, personable, professional and willing to work around your schedule no matter how complicated. On our job, they under-promised and consistently over-delivered. Rob said at the beginning that while we may not love how long the job would take, we would love the result. We ended up loving both; they finished well withinschedule and the work was fantastic! Can't say enough good things about Eagle. It soars.

Eagle was the choice of my insurance company to come in and gut my kitchen and put in a new one when I had water damage from a leak. I also chose them because I believed that they would interface well with the insurance since they specialize in homes in crisis. I was very, very happy with the outcome. Larry and Brenda were great about calling me back when I had questions. Dante, Michelle and others at the office were most helpful when talking about financial and insurance questions. Yes, it took rather a long time to get to the finish line because that's how it is when insurance is involved. I was told that on the front end by Eagle Construction. I'm very thankful that Eagle Construction saw me through this project and took care of everything with great professionalism.

Eagle Construction, especially project manager John, did an excellent job repairing our home after it was damaged during a storm by a tree. They completed over $100K in damages so that we could return to our home 4 months after the work began (unfortunately it took 5 months to start because we needed agreement with insurance but I don't blame Eagle for that). Thank you Eagle for helping me through a stressful time. I highly recommend!
