Nathan is very good. He diagnosed the problem, found replacement parts for a very old controller, good work, prompt arrival, excellent communication.

The work was done quickly and efficiently. The technician arrived on time early in the morning and repaired the issue promptly. The price was also reasonable compared to quotes from other companies.

After receiving a clearly fraudulent estimate to "fix" our Lennox direct vent gas fireplace (claim was that a whole lot of parts needed replaced and it would cost $4,800) I tried again by this time contacting SV Chimney Sweeps via Thumbtack. Nathan contacted me almost immediately and was out to service the fireplace (which was not issuing forth flames with its original vigor) a couple of days later.

He was great at explaining what needed to be done and the servicing required no new parts. Performance post servicing was like new. Cost of service was $225.

Beware of scammers - check that the company actually has a website and that the claims on the website (5 star reviews on Google, Yelp, etc.) are actually true.

Nathan was very good about communicating prior to the appointment. We have a freestanding wood stove, and a fireplace insert. He was very thorough and left the area very clean. I will use his service again.

Our chimney hasn't been used (or cleaned) in 14 years so I contacted SV Chimney sweep and it was easy to schedule a time/day with Nathan to come out. He showed me a giant pile of soot that he got out of the chimney and vacuumed it all out. Also gave some tips and did a test burn to show that the smoke gets pulled into the chimney correctly. Easy to work with and will hire him again for the next time!
