I live in a townhouse building with a rooftop patio which has been leaking for couple of years. In the past I had various roofers doing patch jobs but it was time to pull the trigger and properly re-roof the whole thing. I received bids from 5 different roofing companies and SoCal Green estimate was a bit lower than the others. Most of the reviews online were positive so I figured I made the right call by hiring them. Unfortunately it turned out not to be the case!

The job seemed rushed, workmanship quality sub par and generally unprofessional.

Quick rundown:
1. Canceling and rescheduling the work the night before they were supposed to start with BS weather excuse which didn't make sense.

2. Big piece of the ceiling in my kid's bedroom fell down during the tear-down (luckily no one was in the room when it happened and they fixed it).

3. Throwing loose roofing material from the roof into the truck parked on the sidewalk (luckily no one was walking down the usually busy street).

4. Not communicating and then overcharging (in thousands) for tear-down.

5. Water pooling on one part of the roof but the project manager doesn't want to take responsibility to correct it unless I pay more.

6. Bubbling, not fully adhered roofing material / torch-down

7. Sloppy and unsightly installed sidewall flashing (painted over after complaint).

8. Project manager not present for city inspection or final walk through.

9. Refusing to fix a mistake they made covering the weep holes with flashing.

10. Owner not returning my calls after expressing my concerns about the low quality of the work performed.

Somehow the roof managed to pass city inspection. I guess that's a good thing but it makes me wonder who these inspectors are actually working for...
I'm sure the owners will reply to this review with bad excuses and counter attacks. I'm attaching some pictures so you can judge for yourself. In the meantime do yourself a favor and find a different roofer.

After I posted my review Ben the supervisor called. He offered to fix the mistake they made. The flashing covering the weep holes was removed and the water damage was repaired.

Installing a skylight cut into the roof scared me regarding potential leaks. It’s been six months since the installation and we have had zero issues. The trim work on the inside isn’t 100% perfect, but the structural integrity is excellent.

I am not satisfied with my experience with this roofing company. The project started with clear promises, but the work did not finish as planned. Communication became inconsistent after the work began and required repeated follow-ups to get updates. Timelines went beyond the estimated timeframe without clear explanation. I also noticed technical issues that should have been caught during quality checks. When I raised concerns, responses were slow and not solution-oriented. For a job as important as roofing, reliability and communication are crucial. I recommend getting a detailed written scope, timeline, and terms of modification before proceeding.

I was looking for a fix but ended up with a repipe for our entire home. Awesome experience from the sales presentation all through our final city inspection. We had a lot of questions throughout the project and they were all answered by the office and plumbers that worked in our home.
There were several openings made throughout our home- even more than I expected but in the end result you can't tell where any of the openings were made. I have recommended them to a few neighbors.

I used repipe1 to repipe my house. They provided me all the solutions that were not available from the previous plumbing companies that came to bid the job. They Repiped the house and provided me solutions to install a WiFi automatic water shut off/monitoring device that the insurance carrier requested, they also gave me a solution to have endless hot water with a new tankless water heater. 5 star service.

Repipe 1 did a great job with this project and would like to say that they are real professionals in the repiping business. The estimator was Alex and he was very meticulous on his explaining how the project works and then the crew actually followed his guidance.

Repipe1 was excellent from the start to the finish line. They were very helpful on lots of my questions and held my hand through the whole job. The price was reasonable and they did great work.
