Everyone at Ruff & Ready were outstanding to work with. Jeff and his team are very professional, detailed and enthusiastic about their job. It was a great experience from beginning to the end.

Ruff and Ready did an incredible job on our backyard. They installed the drainage, new sprinkler/irrigation system, lights, gas line, fire pit paver area, fire pit install and sod install. They finished in a little over 2 weeks. Jeff was great to work with and provided new ideas that really helped make our backyard pop. They’re a little more expensive than their competitors but it’s worth it knowing the job was done right. Highly recommend!

Our backyard was full of old gravel and barren of color and vegetation. None of us wanted to use it because of its lackluster appeal. We reviewed many landscape companies and chose Ruff and Ready after meeting with Jeff and discussing our vision for our yard. We had 3 different quotes to do my covered patio/ concrete and Jeff’s was the most straight forward, no BS, reasonably priced quote. We never felt like they’re adding more things we didn’t need. After months of contacting over 15 contractors and receiving outlandish estimates—many of whom didn’t even show up for appointments or return calls—we knew Jeff at Ruff and Ready Landscape Construction was different from the start. His communication was hands-on, he kept every appointment, provided fair estimates, and answered all of my many questions with patience and professionalism.

Having to pay out of pocket to fix a poorly built retaining wall that was pulling down our vinyl fence was stressful, but Jeff and his team put us at ease. Their combination of knowledge and professionalism exceeded our expectations. Jeff brought in his A-team, led by Moises, who completed the job in a timely, clean manner, and the quality of their work has added value to our home. We are very pleased with the outcome of our backyard. We started we a completely dirt backyard with absolutely nothing, Ruff & Ready came in and made my backyard dream come to life. We got a covered patio, mini put, grass with a sprinkler system and some low maintenance plants with lights. Best experience possible with Ruff and Ready!

Beginning to end, Ruff & Ready gave my family a good price, a low-stress experience, and results better than we expected!

We selected Ruff & Ready to do the biggest changes to our raw backyard, wanting to leave some parts for us to do on our own later planter boxes, slope, etc.). Jeff and his team handled:

- Gas line to BBQ and fire pit (for us to build/install later)
- Redo of our entire irrigation, including a mix of drip, tree bubblers, above-ground sprinklers, and stub-ups for our planter boxes later
- Redo of our drainage to ensure good water management on whole property, including accommodating gutters for later
- Concrete walkway with raised curb on the side connecting to driveway
- Artificial turf for remainder of the yard
- Replacing paver deck edging

QUOTE: I, at first, thought the quote came in a little high, then I realized that the other half-dozen companies didn’t list everything I requested in their quotes, and once pressed, the competing quotes all came up to Ruff’s price. Ruff & Ready was the ONLY one that listened to everything I said, didn’t pressure me to change what we wanted, and was honest from the start without looking to “change order” everything later. Honest, competitive pricing.

TEAM: The team showed up and got to work immediately. They got so much done so fast. It was the same crew every day of the project. The workers, the supervisor, the customer service by phone/email, were all so amazing. Constantly nice and friendly. I had so many questions, and they were patient with me in addressing all of it. They also seemed so happy to be working for Jeff. It’s clear he takes good care of his team and we are so happy to give our money to a company like that.

RESULTS: Everything was literally perfect. Our artificial turf required so many cuts and pieces, yet we can’t the seams! The concrete looks great. My yard is sloped to favor the drains without looking for feeling like I’m walking on a ramp. The turf drains are also so well hidden. The results are literally better than we envisioned.

We had a bad experience with a different company for a different home project, and we were scared going into this larger project. Jeff was present and available, reassuring and communicating the entire time. There were no surprise change orders, and no nickel and dining.

We literally could not have asked for a better price, team, service, and results. We got exactly what we hoped for, and more! Ruff & Ready’s work is helping turn our house into a home for many years to come.

Jeff and his team completely transformed my backyard from patches of dead grass, weeds, and dirt into a beautiful tropical oasis. I’m not the most creative person, which is why it took me a while to start this project—but once I did, I let Jeff take full control of the design, and I’m so glad I did. He and his crew were professional, reliable, and paid incredible attention to detail every step of the way. The layout and plant placements were thoughtfully planned, even considering how everything would look once the plants are fully grown to provide the privacy I wanted. That was my one main request, and Jeff absolutely delivered. After five years of not using our backyard, it’s now a gorgeous and relaxing space that I truly love spending time in again!
