Black Diamond did a great job for us. Our front path, drive way, pathways and a large patio were all replaced in just 3 days. The quality was very good. Mike was an attentive Project Manager and made sure everything happened on time and ran super smoothly

They did everything that they said they would and everyone who worked there was very respectful. Much like most in the SoCal area, drought and heat killed much of my landscape. I needed a redo of all irrigation and plants and I needed to do it efficiently and with attention to the challenges of our area. Sam and the team at Black Diamond were outstanding from start to finish. Communication was prompt, dealings were honest, and Sam even went above and beyond and came by on his days off to bring samples, water, and do quick adjustments to keep the project intact until completion. I highly recommend if you want a one stop shop to improve your property.

We had a terrific experience with Black Diamond because our design specialist, Sam (Salvador) Aranda, was so conscientious, communicative, and careful throughout the whole process. He listened to what we wanted, designed accordingly, made adjustments that improved the project, and then was there throughout the install to make sure the work was done well and done according to plan. Sam's availability -- both electronically and in person -- really stands out as above and beyond. We are very pleased with how it looks, and we'll recommend Sam and Black Diamond to friends, and will happily return for our next project.

I recently worked with Ryan Albert and his team to completely redesign and landscape my yard. We built custom walls and paver steps on a hill side and it turned out amazing. They worked fast and were proactive in recommending design improvements and ideas. I was very happy with their team and the end result. Ryan also communicated really well throughout the project. Definitely would recommend.

We had a new paver patio and fire pit designed and installed by BDP and are very pleased with it! We had a good experience working with Ryan Albert. He was super communicative throughout the whole project and he was always concerned that things were going as we expected and wanted to be sure that all of our questions were answered. When I was out of town, he send me photos of the progress each day. I felt like he really listened to our design ideas and made them come to life, but he wasn't afraid to tell us when he had alternative suggestions. It was a good collaboration. He wanted us to be happy with the final product and he had no problem fixing a couple of changes that we wanted along the way. We are now using our backyard all the time!

We recently completed a patio cover/gazebo installation with Sam Aranda, Project Design Specialist and Project Manager. The project included removal of our original ~40 year wooden patio cover with a new design that extended the coverage with a solid overhead section and the traditional trellis type overhead. It was a complete pleasure working with Sam during all the project phases. He accommodated our time constraints (we had a full roof repair and replacement project that we were managing with a separate company prior to the patio cover project). He provided a computer generated design that was spot-on to the finished product. He followed up on a weekly basis and always showed up on-site through the various phases (final sign-off on design plan, demo day, and new patio installation days). The two-person crew for the installation were hard workers, showed up on time, respectful, and cleaned up everyday at the end of the day. Black Diamond completely rejuvenated our front yard using a combination of pavers and landscaping. The design is absolutely beautiful and we could not be happier! Salvador (Sam) Aranda from Black Diamond has been with us throughout the process. He has been very sensitive to our needs and quick to respond to and address any concerns.

Black Diamond Landscaping recently completed paver walkways and we were pleased with their work. Then we decided to landscape our front yard. Ray designed a BEAUTIFUL landscape, full of color!! My wife and I are very pleased with the results. Thank you Ray and your hardworking crew!

It's not often one can write a review involving construction and give 5 stars. Marcus and the team at Black Diamond did our long driveway with new pavers, and from the demolition and removal, to laying the pavers and completing the project, they finished AHEAD of time. The planning and selecting the pavers with Marcus was a breeze. He explained the process clearly, touched every potential issue, and the attention to detail was remarkable in completing the job. The crew went above and beyond to ensure that when finished, there weren't any issues with debris, irrigation or plantings around the driveway. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Black Diamond and working with Marcus on any of your home improvement projects.

David and his team did an outstanding job! They were incredibly professional and handled every aspect of the project with expertise—even managing to navigate some difficult neighbors who unnecessarily involved the city. Despite the challenges, David’s team followed all the rules, and the situation only highlighted their professionalism while exposing the neighbor’s unwarranted complaints.
The pavers were installed quickly and flawlessly, and the finished yard exceeded our expectations. Every worker on the team was courteous and hardworking, making the entire process smooth and stress-free.

Sam and Tony are great! Work was done on time and within the budget I gave them. The team working did great also, they were professional and always kept the work space clean and safe.

I highly recommend Black Diamond Paver Stones and Landscape! My Project Manager and Designer, Ray Ramirez, was incredible. From the first meeting, he patiently walked me through the process, designed my layout (I know nothing about landscape architecture) and presented a project plan within my budget. The crew was awesome - hard working, polite, and paid attention to detail. I had my entire yard replaced, and the result is beautiful! To top it off, the company that replaced my fence, broke a sprinkler line and I asked ray if they could repair it, and he didn't hesitate to say yes. A great experience - I would definitely use them again.

These guys do great work! Ray Ramirez and the whole crew are excellent communicators and made sure I was happy every step of the way. The quality of the work is excellent. Pricing was competitive and comes with unmatched service, Ray worked with me to design the project and was there himself the days of construction to make sure it all went as planned. Turned out better than I imagined!

I reached out to 8 different companies for quotes on our backyard, and Marcus instantly stood out with solid communication, upfront costs and no nitpicking or upselling to things we didnt want.

We told them our deadline, and they brought in a larger crew to make sure the work got done on time, and they beat their own estimates. We are SOO very happy with our new backyard.

From demolition, to leveling, new pavers, sod, sprinklers and drainage system - Black Diamond was the right choice and I would highly recommend them.

This is the second time I have used Black Diamond. My yard looks amazing. David is extremely knowledgeable and is a great designer. He had so many great ideas that totally enhanced my yard! David was always available for any questions I had and responded immediately. David has a tremendous portfolio and has won many awards for his work. I felt extremely lucky to have his expertise. We had a wonderful backyard transformation with Black Diamond! The team was professional, on time each day, and the work was meticulous. They finished our large remodel in five days and left the area and front prep space cleaner when they started. We will definitely use them for future projects and so happy to enjoy our outdoor area! Ryan was an amazing coordinator and having him as a local neighbor made the process so easy!

We worked with David Brook on our project to convert our front yard to drought tolerant landscaping. David helped us design the landscaping in a way that was both cost effective aesthetically pleasing. I'd like to replace our driveway with pavers in the future and won't hesitate to call Black Diamond again.

Edit: unfortunately I’m having to lower my review. Part of my landscaping involved removing grass and installing weed barrier with mulch to cover it. It’s been about a month since the install, and grass is just ripping through the weed barrier, coming up through the mulch and it just looks bad. While it was explained multiple times that weeds are still possible due to spreading on top of the barrier, it was not conveyed how effectively useless the weed barrier was, which makes me wonder what the point of paying for it was.

I called customer service to voice my concern and was basically told “yea that can happen the weed barrier only helps a little”. Which if true should have been explained more clearly before agreeing to pay for it in the design. The only remedy I was given was to basically spray it with weed killer and pull it by hand, which is ridiculous given how much grass is coming through.

Edit 2: so after my lower review I was contacted by a VP at the company (on 4/21/21) who said they would like to make it right and offered to remove the weed barrier, apply pre emergent and reinstall the barrier. In good faith I removed the lower review, but that good faith has been squandered. Shortly after that conversation, I was contacted by someone at the local office who said I would hear back within a week to schedule the repair (this was on 4/27/21). I heard nothing, and have tried calling multiple times to get an update as it’s now 5/25/21 and there is no indication anyone is coming to fix this...

I understand the weed barrier isn’t going to prevent everything completely, but it took less than a month for the yard to turn into what’s shown in the photos, meanwhile landscape work I’ve done myself using a different weed barrier product has had no punctures in 6 months...

I needed to get my backyard redone badly. The previous owners had a horrible sense of taste and this was long overdue. The project manager/consultant, Ryan, did a fantastic job. The crew was great and worked really hard to get our project done in just one and a half days!
