I needed an outlet repaired or upgraded to handle a 1500 watt space heater. I phoned "Marvel Electricians" for the job. A technician was able to stop by that day. He installed a 20 amp breaker, and a 20 amp heavy duty outlet in my office. He showed me the estimate, and had a curious breakdown that totaled $820. He charged $60 to arrive, $250 to diagnose the problem, which took him one or two minutes, $280 to install the $7 single pole breaker, and finally $230 to install the $4 heavy duty outlet.

When he showed me the bill, I noticed it came from a company with a different name, "Electricians Service Team." When I asked if he was from "Marvel," he tried but failed to explain the connection. Oh well.

The job took him one hour to perform, almost to the minute. So including parts, the job came to $820. That's over $800 per hour in labor costs. I guess life is good at "Marvel Electricians." I needed the work done so I approved the job. My bad. Did they take advantage of vulnerable seniors? My advice is to shop around; you can do much better than "Marvel."

This was our second time with Marvel Electricians, and once again, their electricians were outstanding! He examined all of the fuses with no power and offered us a very fair repair cost. He did a wonderful job of explaining what he was about to do. He also took careful care to maintain his workspace neat. I highly recommend Marvel Electricians to anyone who has electrical work done in their place.
