Great deals on your home improvements
I had a complete bathroom and kitchen remodel from Cityscape. One word... Amazing! Jason Johnson and Eric sold it and managed it from beginning to end. The work was supurb! They did so well we had them relace all our windows too. Oh yeah, and build a wall in the backyard to help drown out the traffic noise from the busy street behind us. Jason, Eric, Cityscape crew... Thank you! You helped add a ton of value to our home!
Update: After expressing my dissatisfaction, the team has shown understanding and improvements in working with me as a team. My project turned out beautiful. The project manager has also shown experiences in dealing with HOAs. I would recommend Cityscape if you prefer to be involved along the journey and your project is on a larger scale than typical residential homes. ———————————————————————————————————————— The construction team led by David the foreman, is professional, detailed-oriented, and has strong ownership in the project. The owner Mike takes care of the customer when problem arises. However, the negative project management makes this company not worth engaging. Project managers are rude, not customer-oriented, and are not on top of any aspects in project management: underdeliver on the budget management, the deadlines, and will always talk down the customer. You will end up have to micromanagement and supplement the project management yourself.
BEWARE!! CITYSCAPE landscaping and reconstruction HORRIBLE! I hired Cityscape company to do interior work for me after having flood damage in my house. The project manager for the company contacted me on Nextdoor after I asked for recommendations. He presented himself as the “owners son” of a family run reconstruction company. I loved the idea of a local, family run business to do the job. I was never presented with an official contract or estimate. Just a text message screenshot of estimated costs. It started off well enough, but I quickly realized that there was zero management happening. Things were not being done on time, I was spending hours waiting for them to show or respond to messages. After they worked for a week, I realized all the paint was already peeling off my freshly painted walls. They made a complete disaster of my house and all my belongings when “helping” move them for the flooring to be replaced. I was being asked to pay for work that hadn’t been completed yet. At that point, I asked for the project managers father to come look at the mess being made and all the workmanship problems. I was told his father wasn’t available but the quality control manager would be coming the next day. When the quality manager agreed with me that the place was a disaster; the project manager became extremely aggressive and rude. I received several rude texts messages and then the project manager came flying up to my house in his truck, got out and started yelling and cursing at me. Things turned from bad to worse. The lies I had been told began unraveling. They were hiring day laborers to come in and do work, after I was told everyone was vetted by and worked for the company. The project manager and his family DO NOT own the company. The project manager told me several times he would send a cleaning crew at his expense to clean up after his workers — in the end he sent his MOTHER to clean and then tried to charge me $600 for it. When I asked for price break downs nothing made sense, everything had random prices. I was charged delivery fees from him even though I offered to pick up items (paint, toilers, etc) and he said he’d take care of it. Eventually, he was taken off the project bc he was unable to communicate with me in a polite, professional manner. They threw out 3 cabinet doors I needed and then lied about it. I have texts that prove they did it. They broke 2 curtain rods and 2 shower curtain rods that I had to pay to replace. Now I have a house with peeling paint everywhere, floor boards are pulling apart, I’m missing a cabinet and 3 doors, there’s paint all over my interior doors and blinds. And the company WILL NOT respond to me. I’ve sent emails and text messages. I’ve even had a mutual friend present all this information to the actual owner of the company with pictures and I was never contacted.
