If you are looking to add an ADU, Backyard Estates is the company to choose! From day one they made everything easy for us. They really listened to our needs and customized our ideas into a work of art! The work and craftsmanship is high-quality. They utilize an app in which you can receive weekly updates about your project and summary of payments. There was always someone we could reach out to if we had any questions. Once the city approved the plans, the build went extremely quick-within weeks it was complete. They are organized with great time management. Everyday there was a different part of the team working on the build. The staff is family-oriented and super easy to talk to! It was a really fun experience and my family is completely happy with the end results. I highly recommend Backyard Estates for your ADU needs.

It was by chance that we saw a sign of Backyard Estates and decided to look them up. Their website reflects who they are: transparent, communicative, collaborative, well organized, and timely. We did not have to wonder if their teams were going to show up, they were always on time, 7:30am ready to work. It was great to see upon returning from work how much progress they had done. In a matter of weeks our tiny home was being build. The experience has been amazing. One thing though, if you ordered or selected items not in their list, make sure to remind your point person when the time comes for those details. The teams on the field are used to specific items and may forget the changes. We do have to send a big Kudos to Dusty. He is amazing in coordinating with all the teams, keeping communication with us, discussing any issues and solutions, and just a good person. Thanks, Dusty!

Adam and Jordan where both very professional and super friendly. They don’t make you feel pressured to agree to anything and answer all your questions. They are easy to reach by phone or text. They are also bilingual. Adam speaks almost perfect Spanish even though he doesn’t think so. If anyone is interested in building a small home in their backyard I would definitely research this company.
