Air Serv sent Jeff out to service our heater. Great guy!, explained everything clearly and was super informative on upgrading our system.

We were very happy with our air conditioner service from Aire Serv. We scheduled a tune up because it wasn’t blowing as cold as it used too but it turned out to be a little leak in the system. Our service Technician Jeff Wagner was Fantastic, he got our air conditioner blowing cold air again!! We highly recommend Jeff to anyone needing A/C and Furnace work. Thanks again Jeff!!

Brent and the crew worked so hard to get our a/c installed before the hot weekend! It was a big job and Aire Serv sent a large enough crew to get it done. They were so cautious with my home... Not hitting walls or corners with the ladders and equipment and they did a great job of cleaning up each day when they left. I really appreciate their customer-centered work ethic.

AireServ has over exceeded customer service and my expectations. My AC broke down while I had guests staying at my home and they were able to get to me within an hour, assess the problem, find the part and replace it so we were back and running the same day. Superior customer service and their pricing is extremely fair. Highly recommended!

Robert Pineda, was our technician, He showed up on time, was very professional and polite, looked our A/C unit, and diagnosed the problem. He fixed the unit, and recommended some other services that he suggested that could aid in the efficiency of our unit. Also told me about AirServs yearly maintenance program, which my husband and I will think about. We are pleased with the work Robert did for us, and will definitely cal Air Serv again if need be.

Jeff Wagner is a breath of fresh, cool air. He was not only fast and efficient in diagnostics, but he is also dog friendly. He repaired, inspected, cleaned, explained and showed me how to get the most out of my dollar in the future. I am pleased
With the results, and when I went to close the yard gate, I found he'd already closed it, locked it back up and put the dog barrier back in place. Thank you, Jeff

These guys follow the same ridiculous pricing that I have seen on-line complaints about. But Aire Serv had such a good rating and we are just a small town filled with decent folks, I thought, maybe this company would be better... Sadly, not.

I am a very hands-on homeowner and have worked on my own AC units several times. 90% of the time it is the starting capacitor.

Before I called, I did my homework. Blower runs, Condenser starts. The line to the outside radiator hot and the outet line to the blower unit cool, as it should (condenser, valves, thermostats and Freon, all good). BUT, the outside fan was not starting. I knew what the issue was 99.9% sure now, The capacitor.

Normally I would fix this on my own for $30, but I have a wedding to get to and did not have the time, so I thought. Read on.

So I called these Aire Serv. OK, $150 to show up and diagnose the issue (I already knew where the issue was), but fair enough... And they were nice on the phone and fast to respond. Thus they win 2 stars for that.... but $500 for the run capacitor! OK, it has a 10 year warrantee. That is equivalent to 2-3 capacitor replacements.. $30-$60 more in parts. Labor is 10 minutes to replace. But I am sure they will defend this overpriced and pricing. Loss of 3 stars.

I would have happily paid the $150 to show up and $100 to replace the capacitor. No warrantee wanted or needed. $250 for a $30 part. But I was NOT willing to pay $650. Nor should you.

Go to your local ACE hardware (turns out they have these parts on-hand) and go to a You Tube video on how to replace the Capacitor. They will guide you safely on how to turn off power and remove/replace the capacitor. It will take maybe 1 hour your first time. Buy a spare as you will be doing this again in about 3 years (and then it will take 10 minutes). And you will be the local homeowner hero, saving yourself over $600.

If you cannot do this, you're just not handy or too frightened to try, sadly you are just at the mercy of these prices.

Aire Serv of the Gold Country responded to my call for a second opinion by sending their technician Bryce first thing the next morning. He found the base issue and resolved efficiently to bring cool air back to my home, and saving me thou$and$ of of unwarranted costs. I will stand with all the satisfied customers that experienced excellent responses to customer service and exceptional technical skills. Thank you.

Bryce was very professional and knowledgable. He fixed are problem and gave me information on keeping my heater running smoothly.

Technician Jeff Wagner was completely professional. I would only request that in the future he wear a company uniform/shirt to better identify himself to his customers.

I received two quotes for a mini-split system in my detached office on my property just outside of Sutter Creek. Aire Serv provided a detailed quote with many guarantees. I chose them because the price was similar to another quote from a vendor who was rude and arrogant -- coincidentally Aire Serv was about 10% less, but this was not the primary factor. They ended up installing the system 2 weeks earlier than they had estimated to my delight. Overall the installation appeared to be professional with one exception -- the tech who was the last to leave didn't come with a vacuum to clean up the mess left behind on my carpet. Although he did offer to use my vacuum, I think that it's inappropriate to expect a customer to provide basic equipment. My desk and furniture were also covered with a very light fine dust as they didn't cover anything. I wasn't too bothered by that and vacuumed up the carpet mess (some drywall and dust) on the carpet. The quality of the workmanship appeared to be high. They were missing a part and left equipment and materials here promising to come back to finish the work -- but the unit was working and I was in a nice cool office. Great!

A week and a half went by and I didn't hear from anyone. Their ladder and materials were still here and a conduit was exposed because of the missing part. I called to find out when I might see someone and a tech was out two days later to finish the install. In the meantime, a leak had developed behind the unit (condensation) and the drain they installed did not angle downward into the dirt, so the water flowed back up the pipe due to surface tension and created a small river of water across the walkway instead of in the planter bed. No biggie -- they addressed all of these issues.

Unfortunately this fix was inadequate -- the unit still leaked behind the evaporator. So I wrote my sales person, Brent Anderson, again on Tuesday. It was my understanding someone would be out Friday -- nope. Sunday I wrote again to find out when someone would be out -- this time I sent pictures and video of the water streaming down my wall onto my carpet. I had to place a dog dish underneath the unit to catch the water. Someone came out the next day (Monday) and attempted another repair.

Unfortunately the 2nd attempt was unsuccessful. There appears to be literally no difference. I took new video and pictures (attached here). They were bidding on a whole house replacement for our 20 year old central 5 ton unit -- yeah no. I don't trust them and would never hire them again. I will update this review after their THIRD attempt to repair this unit.

Things happen, sure. But how many times does one attempt the same repair before maybe thinking, "This isn't working, perhaps we need to try something different.". Good intentions are meaningless when one spends over $6,000 on a mini split that drains water inside your carpeted room?. One of two things are afoot here -- either this Mitsubishi unit or related parts are defective or the installer/tech is incompetent or some degree of both. I honestly don't know which it is, but I'll have a pretty good idea if the third attempt is another failure.

Two stars for being professional, accessible (Brent) and timely (early install). - 3 stars for 2 failed repair attempts and having to follow up to find out when the repair tech would be out. Another star or more will come off if the third attempt is a failure. Again, needless to say, I will not be using them for our central AC.

    Be careful.

Update 8/31 - A tech came out Saturday 8/29 to look into the leak. He explained to me that the reason the unit was leaking was due to the decision to couple the manufacturer's drain hose behind the wall rather than run it completely outside and into a PVC drain. I explained several times that I was fine with any modification that didn't make any new holes in the house. Unfortunately, new holes were made where a new raceway was added. All I wanted was the leak fixed, not a whole new ugly cover! Raceway removed, but holes remain (pic).

We just had our first AC maintenance for our mini split. Jeff Wagner was our technician who showed up on time after letting us know where he was on the road before hand via text and email. He did a great job and we were very happy with him. so far, the company has been great to deal with.

Called Aire Serv and they sent a technician the next morning. Robert arrived on time and tested the air conditioner and heating system. He found the problem with the A/C. Got it working in no time but still did a thorough check on everything to make sure. I would highly recommend Aire Serv and especially Robert Pineda any and every time I need service for HVAC. Great customer service, friendly, and very professional! Thank you Robert! Great job!!

Jeff Wagner was very professional and thorough during our HVAC system maintenance. He answered all of my questions clearly and walked me through what to expect for the next service.

This business is top notch! Great response time! They fixed the problem and it was affordable. The Jeff, the technician who came out was awesome. Helpful and friendly.

Our technician Jeff Wagner has been out a few times for our DIY mini split system. He is always prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. Will use Aireserv in the future!

If I could give 10 stars I would! We had an issue with our AC unit sucking up some paper towels and couldn't get it out on our own. We called customer service and they promptly and politely put us in contact with Brian. Brian was able to help us over the phone to troubleshoot our issue, and my husband was able to successfully retrieve the paper towels. Brian spent 10+ COMPLEMENTARY minutes with us on the phone, and we appreciate his time expertise so much! Highly recommend this company!

Our technician Joe came out to service our HVAC system. He was courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the needed repairs to us. To complicate our problem, it was an intermittent issue that required persistence and research to come to a solution for things. I cant say enough great things about our experience and would highly recommend Aire Serve to everyone. Thx again Joe!!!

After consulting with Brent on what I was expecting to be a new air handler/furnace, I walked away with a “take it or leave it” pitch for an entire system overhaul including a heat pump, water heater, and a side of “bad taste in the mouth.”

Our house has a lot of character, to put it mildly. My husband and I have spent well over $100,000 of our own money these last couple years on what feels like a sad parody of the movie “Money Pit.” When the furnace motor began smoldering a few days ago, I called every company with decent reviews listed as serving our jurisdiction.

Brent arrived 30 minutes late for his hour long appointment, took one look at the unit inside, and proudly stated it would be $20,000 to buy a new heat pump setup, plus $5,000 for a water heater. I asked for a quote specific to an air handler with a traditional furnace coil - an upflow unit like what we had but clearly not one designated for a mobile home (the old owners rigged a handler from an old modular into our closet - we have this in writing). Brent was very coy when he rebutted me by saying “you already have a heat pump… these units [air handlers] cost as much as heat pumps… this unit [air handler] IS a heat pump… you don’t live in a modular home so this isn’t a mobile home unit…” I was stunned someone would just flagrantly lie to me like this. After quoting me, he went outside to look at the AC (it’s NOT a heat pump!!! It even says it on the side…) but he skipped going under the house, into the attic, or doing a deeper dive into the electrical. I actually asked him about doing so and he said it was unnecessary. But if he had, he should have been able to recognize problems with existing duct work and condensate lines as well as see that the furnace being wired to a 100amp switch is a BAD thing (it would fail to trip if not rectified). Instead, his response to this revelation was “that’s more than enough, we’ll still be able to use that one!” - he seemed to have no understanding that it might require capping to an appropriate amperage for our safety.

In the end, although Brent was correct about us needing a new water heater along with how shoddy the electrical and refrigerant lines attached to our AC unit were, his attention to detail and integrity were lacking. His parting ‘challenge’ of “go ahead, you can get 5 other quotes for all I care, but you won’t find anything better than this. This isn’t the Bay Area… don’t go with a chunk in a truck” was the icing on the cake. As much as we only wanted an air handler to get us through this rough patch, we found and went with a reputable licensed/insured company to overhaul our system anyway, pulling the necessary financial levers to make it work while preserving our cash flow.

To the management of Aire Serv, let this be a lesson to your salespeople in terms of honesty, thoroughness, and understanding your customer’s needs before attempting to upsell - at the very least, they might have come around later to buy the recommended system revamp once their immediate concerns were taken care of. After all, you still need an air handler to make a ducted heat pump function, so sell the air handler and follow up about a heat pump in the future!

Jeff responded to my request promptly. He quickly found the problem and called me with a temporary solution that was acceptable. The final solution requires some investigation and sourcing for parts on an older system that is no longer produced. Jeff is an excellent communicator and technician.
