We hired Formula Construction to install a new paver patio in our backyard, and Steve and the crew did an amazing job. The design came out exactly how we imagined, and the attention to detail was impressive. They were professional, on time, and kept everything clean throughout the project. Steve and his team completely transformed our front yard. What used to be plain and boring is now beautiful and welcoming. I highly recommend SKS construction. SKS did earthquake retrofits on two of our 8 unit buildings in the Pico Robertson area and the process was very pleasant. We hired SKS as our contractor for a seismic retrofit. Outstanding work. This was a very difficult project - a multi unit building Santa Monica during a pandemic. Everything was well coordinated, on schedule, and safety protocols were maintained. This was not the cheapest bid we received but we chose them based on the quality and thoroughness of their bid. We made the right choice - no cost overruns or hassles and they finished the project on time.

I oversee a property management company and we have engaged SKS Construction on balcony inspections (per SB 721 and SB 326) on 20+ properties. I give them a 10/10 on communication, report detail, price and overall efficiency. I have used other companies for this work and decided to exclusively use SKS for the remainder of our needs, which turned out to be about 90% of our portfolio. Simon and Shahab are extremely knowledgably industry professionals and I would recommend them both. Hands down A+ work.

Had a very positive experience with SKS rebuilding a series of balconies for an apartment complex. The team was timely, responsive, thorough, and very professional. Shahab was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Our project manager Simon was great to work with and made my job coordinating with our tenants easier. We hired SKS Construction for our mandatory SB326 repairs and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, they were professional, collaborative, and solution-oriented. Our project manager, Simon, stood out for his exceptional communication and his ability to navigate scheduling and coordination with residents—including those who could be a bit challenging.

As is typical with major construction, a few surprises came up along the way. SKS approached each one with transparency and worked closely with us to find solutions that stayed within our budget. We were especially impressed by the pride they took in their work—they went above and beyond by taking care of small adjacent repairs without being asked, such as patching and painting cracked stucco and power washing the surrounding concrete.

We highly recommend SKS Construction for any large-scale structural work. We’ll definitely be hiring them again for future projects.
