My husband and I have been thinking about adding solar to our house for years. We wanted to choose a local company so that we could have a local contact for problems, questions, etc... Plus, we want to support our local economy. We got 1 quote from Kota and wanted a quote from Coastal Solar . I reached out to Coastal Solar via telephone and e-mail. Marty was very nice, however, the salesman at first did not call us back. I finally called Marty again and then the salesman finally called us. He promised to get back to us within a week with a quote but we never heard from him again. He knew we had received a bid from Kota. I guess he thought "why bother" since they would not be able to beat the Kota quote. We are a modest family looking to spend $30,000 on solar for our house - you'd think I would not have to beg for assistance. Oh well, I guess Coastal Solar does not need the business. We are moving forward with Kota Solar, also a local business, and have already referred a neighbor.

Called the office at 10:30 am. Within an hour I received an email from Taylor. By 3:00 he was at my house. Problem fixed within half an hour. Can't get any better than that. Great service.

It has been 6 years since Coastal Solar put in our system. They still make themselves available for questions and help us deal with issues that arise in this complex system. We are glad we used them.

With Coastal Solar we found the team we wanted! They took the time to explain all things about solar and took us through a flawless, professional install. Matt and his team were great from start to finish! I will shout out an A+ recommendation!!

Just wanted to write that if you decide to “go solar”, talk to Matt at Coastal Solar. They not only provide great products but are very helpful in deciding the best location to get the best results. They also were good to work around our schedule when doing the installation. We could not be happier with the results.

Our system was installed by a company that was no longer in business. He analyzed and was able to get a new converter on warranty. Had unit replaced with very knowledgeable techs . Would highly recommend Coastal ,

Really happy with the work done on the project so far. Javier George and Mike really took their time measuring for our exposed beam ceiling (attaching the panels incorrectly would have shown on the inside of our house) They scheduled the work faster than anticipated.
We just need the inspection and turn on and we are in business!!!

We love this company. They helped troubleshoot an old system that was installed years before we bought our house. Updated our system, got it up and running, helped us understand how it all works, and got us connected via the web to our system. Very affordable and really, great with people.
We will be saving a 2-300$ a month now. And we know they will be there if we ever need help.

In a field where most companies are either hacks or crooks, Coastal is the only solar company I've been able to find that is honest, reliable, and knowledgeable. They've done some great work for us and I would definitely recommend them.

Matt and his crew really helped us out when we needed to remove our solar power system. We needed a new roof installed on our house. Our original installer went out of business. Coastal Solar came to the rescue ! They removed the system, cleaned the panels and redesigned the layout when they reinstalled it. They also added a disconnect switch so that we could run our house off the solar, if there was a blackout in our area. They were prompt and professional. 5 star service !

Matt and the crew came highly recommended from my father in law and they did not disappoint. I was dealing with another company for months that kept changing the quote and trying to get me to install a new roof, all of which was BS. That's when I called Matt and they came over the next day. Quoted me lower than the first companies original quote and the whole thing was completed the following weekend. I can't thank them enough. I highly highly recommend them.

Coastal Solar installed a new Tesla Powerwall 2 in my home along with an existing Sunrun solar system. They did an absolutely outstanding job. Special shout out to Kevin, lead technician who installed the home battery system.

These guys were very professional with the initial visit and went thru all the options and explained everything very well. Helped to get me in touch with financing and recommendations on equipment. Once the project was approved they came out and did everything they said they would. They even accommodated a side request to install a 240V in the garage so I could charge my EV car faster. Great job on the project and great people to talk to.

It's such a daunting task to chose a contractor to do any kind of work in your home. I am so pleased to have found Coastal Solar and relieved that I used them. They made the entire process very simple and walked me through it all, from having Edison come out to verify panel location to final sign off by the city. It was refreshing to work with such a great company with competent staff. The job was completed in a timely manner and their awesome guys were clean, polite and thoughtful. If you are in need of panel upgrade and/ or solar panels look no further!!

Extremely dissatisfied with this company. They threaten my wife and I to pay an invoice when they didn't perform the work described. It took them 2 months to finally show up and were supposed to give us a quote to repair an arc fault in our solar. When Matt finally did show up after canceling multiple times, he said they were too busy with new installs and they couldn't do the work. It wasn't until a couple months later they sent me an invoice for services which were never provided such as diagnosing an arc fault and resetting the inverter. I tried to dispute this with them as I felt it was sent in error because Matt never performed this work described - I reset my system from my laptop and I knew about the arc fault, it was the reason I called them out and he never diagnosed it. I never received a quote, estimate, contract or anything signed prior to their visit or even after Matt showed up at 5PM on a Friday to briefly look at our system. I didn't hear from them for a month until Matt called me and said he needed to send me an invoice to bill us for his visit which I thought was strange. I attempted to resolve this with their billing department, but they would not listen and also wouldn't provide me with any other contacts in the company to file a dispute when I requested it. Matt sent a harassing and threatening email saying that he was just going to put a Lien on our house for the service fee and that it was simple to do so he didn't care because he wasn't very busy. Im extremely disappointed with their unprofessional behavior and attitude.

Very clean installation. System works great. Brandon, Matt, Ezequiel, Kevin, Taylor and their crew did a great job designing and installing my system. Ready for any power outages and/or an EV down the road.

I can not say enough good things about this Company. Professional, prompt, do what they say they are going to do, clean, friendly. I was having some major issues with my solar and Tesla Powerwalls and it my power had been off for 36 hours and they were able to send someone out in an emergency situtation and really helped out and fixed everything that was done incorrectly by the prior installers of my Powerwalls. Love this company!!! Jake and Kevin did a fantastic job. Any of my future electrical needs are going to Coastal Solar!!!!!!
