Great experience with SunRun and rep Alex Meleniak! After a couple of years of unavoidable expensive home repairs piled on, we had to put solar and the new roof we needed on hold (and hope the roof held for awhile!). Then we got hit with non-renewal of homeowners insurance and all of a sudden we HAD to get a roof for a new policy. We were looking at taking on another 20-25 years of monthly payments and retirement getting further away, again! Someone referred us to Alex and SunRun; we talked to a couple other company's too, but Alex patiently explained our options and answered all our questions, 2x. With SunRuns PPA we're out of pocket very little for a new roof (and the sub-contractor was great! 50 year shingle warranty and 10 years workmanship), no additional debt, mortgage or lein, and we don't have to worry about ownership and responsibility now or for outdated, used up solar panels and battery when we're too old (or our kids have the house) 25 years from now! We're so happy to have a steady, reasonable monthly electric bill that won't skyrocket and create worry in retirement. SunRun did a beautiful install, took care of city permitting and SDGE. They monitor the system and make all repairs! We haven't had a good experience with any contractor in years so we were expecting about the same hassles but SunRun knocked it out of the park. Got the roof and solar installed within 2 weeks of agreement. We couldn't be happier! Alex is a great guy who cares about his customers. He restored our faith in the good old American way of doing business. We very highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with SunRun to install solar panels on my home, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the experience and the results. From start to finish, the team at SunRun exemplified professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to providing top-notch service. The consultation process was exceptional. Ryan, the representative took the time to thoroughly assess my home’s energy needs and explain the benefits of solar power in a clear and understandable manner. He was patient in answering all my questions and concerns (and I had a ton). The project management team was amazing to work with. They handled all the necessary permits and paperwork, making the process smooth and hassle-free for me. The installation was efficient and expertly executed. The team always arrived on time, worked diligently and left my property clean and tidy. The customer service has always been wonderful and readily available to address any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend SunRun.

The two Sunrun representatives that rang my bell last night at 7:00 p.m. were the most unprofessional men ever. They were rude, arrogant, and ignored my THREE no soliciting sighs posted at the entry to my home. Then they refused to leave when ordered to do so. These employees have no business dealing with the public and are a disgrace to their employer. They should be terminated immediately.

Excellent experience with Sunrun. Install went smoothly, well organized and professional. Sales rep April was outstanding, helping with every aspect of the project - from an honest initial assessment of what to expect from the system to the final installation. Will definitely recommend Sunrun to others.

I thought I couldn’t afford to “go solar” in my home. But Trae, and his great team at Sunrun, explained how I could qualify for installing solar panels (including necessary roof repairs), and a Tesla back-up battery, at no out of pocket cost to me! He also calculated my average monthly electric bill, and showed me that I will be saving money annually. The set monthly fee to Sunrun gives me piece of mind, as I am on a fixed income and can plan accordingly.
Trae and his team at Sunrun explained the process thoroughly, answered all my questions, and have been knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive . I highly recommend them.

I had a wonderful experience with the Sunrun company and one of their reps Elizabeth Ramos. She was very informative and actively guided me through the solar process. I signed up in 11/2022 and the entire process was completed in 01/2023. I am thoroughly satisfied with my reduced electric bill from my previously high electricity bills with SDG&E. I strongly recommend signing with a Sunrun Solar representative as this was the most cost-saving method for the installation of solar energy panels & service.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Elizabeth, knocked on my door, on a Saturday morning. I think I was wearing my robe. She told me that she represented Sunrun, a Solar energy company. She was very Polite and professional, and explained that she believed Going Solar, would be a good decision for me and my home/family. She briefly described, why. I Blew her out, and said, "No Thanks, have a good day". She was super cool. Took it very well. Gave me her card, before she left. I took some time to think. Maybe 1/2 hour. Called her back. Best decision ever. I can't imagine anyone being more knowledgeable about there product. She sold me.
Sunrun Team, exceeded my expectations, throughout the entire process, involved to get my home Solar powered.
Elizabeth remained involved and was easy to reach, for questions and concerns. No regrets. Thanks Sunrun.

I am completely satisfied with Sunrun as my solar provider. We've been with Sunrun for 3 years next month and have never had a problem. To the contrary, they've been nothing but completely accommodating. We bought an EV over a year ago (husband works in Irvine and around Orange Co.) and we only have to charge at night using our solar. What a life saver/wallet saver!
Something I find so special about Sunrun is the customer service. Melissa Rosenthal was our sales representative. Still after 3 years she is and has always been there if I have any questions. Her personality and knowledge gave me the confidence to go with Sunrun and I am so grateful that I did!

Since customer support is no help, maybe this honest review will be of some, there was faulty wiring done on my install. We dumped enough energy into the grid to trip our main 100 amp breaker that caused a power outage. Sdge tech said the work they did was not up to code and is the most likely cause of the tripped breaker. My 3 year old son could of done a better job on the wiring.

Sun run installed our solar system. It was so easy and saving us so much money on our electric bill. I don’t feel guilty to use my electric appliances any more. Enjoy our spa and air conditioner more often than before we had solar. Love it!! The sales person, Matt Midland was very patient and helpful

The entire process of having Sun Run install solar at our house was an enjoyable experience. Our sales rep Pia was good at explaining Sun Run’s program. She followed through on keeping us informed on every step of the process. All Sun Run people we had contact with were professional and easy to deal with.

Liz was awesome. She walked us through the steps and followed up to make sure we were taken care of even after installation. She even made a special trip to set up our apps. Service above and beyond. We have solar in a separate residential property and the experience was nothing like this.
Would 100% recommend. Ask for Liz. She’s amazing!

Very professional from sales to installation. It is rare in today's environment that you find a company that cares for you and also its employees. Sunrun's sales team was "non-pressure". They fully explained what the financials would look like in understanding solar and the explained the contract in non technical language. Every promised event in their timeline was met. The installation took about a day with each technician in full safety gear. (I did not want to be sued if someone fell off my roof). They cleaned up as if it was their own home. I am tough to impress and I was impressed. That's why I gave them 5 stars.

Right now, we are at a one.
I had the system installed, it was to be secondary to my primary solar install, plus adding a two battery system. The system went live in May, and the maximum I am getting is 30% of efficiency because the systems are not talking to each other, and the batteries are not working, only one of two is online. I have repeatedly asked for who I need to contact, only to be told that they are sending the requests "up the chain" with no names. I had a visit from a tech last week, who said that all of these things are wrong with the system, and they need two techs to come back, and now there is not a time slot for two techs to come back. But the emails keep coming to remind me that I need to set up an appointment, only to have the system tell me that there are no appointments for me. Not acceptable.

I’ve been wanting to put solar on my house since 1977. The industry wasn’t there yet. Nick Federico came into our lives in 2023 and was more attentive and cooperative and professional, than I could’ve hoped for. Even our dog fell in love with him. He worked the process with Sunrun, communicated well with his fellow workers and ultimately delivered a flawless process getting permitted with 11 panels on our roof, a beautiful Tesla battery pack and new updated electrical service for our house. I am now getting between 97% to 100% of my electrical demand through my solar and a full day of battery back up. The Best part was that it cost me a total of $0.00. The project also was completed a month and a half before the original estimated timeframe. I would recommend Nick and his team highly for the homeowners in El Cajon and San Diego. It just couldn’t have been a better, more successful experience. Thank you, Nick.

Excellent quality company. Always on top.of each step in procesd of getting solar done. It's a company that's been around fir nearly 20 years and I had purchased and installed solar panels with them 16 years ago and have never regretted my choice.

Sunrun was completely a joy to work with from start to finish. They sent me very helpful emails advising me where we were and also EXPLAINING everything. Additionally my sales consultant was excellent getting me past each bump in the road during the whole process. I love my solar panels and am so glad I did this. It’s the right thing to do and Sunrun is by far the best company I’ve worked with.

The Sunrun Vista team was amazing and communicated with us during the entire process. Everyone was great! Gisele was very nice and informative and went out of her way to make sure our experience was thorough and complete. We were given instructions on the installation and the apps to use as well! I would highly recommend them!
