This is a great company to work with. They installed the system years ago, and it works really well. Recently the inverter needed replacing after 15 years of service. I called them and described the problem. They were out at my house the next day, and had my system up and running again perfectly. I was expecting to wait weeks for service. They are great!
This company installed my solar panels and turned them on in July 2007. All has gone well and the system has operated as expected. At the time their name was Solar Electrical Systems and they had already been in business 30+ yrs. But this year my annual net bill was almost double the usual, so I called the same number I’d had back then, and they immediately answered with their new name. Same company tho, not a buyout. He immediately pulled up all of my system’s information and gave me details, explained possible issues, and is sending an email with instructions. I am to take pictures of the lights on the converter on the back of my house (he was clearly also looking at a current satellite image because he mentioned a system for my pool I installed years later). If there’s a problem, they will know what to bring out to take care of it. Wow! If you’re going to spend the amount these things cost, this kind of long term availability and knowledgeability is so valuable. In the time period since mine were done, many, many new businesses have started and then gone out of business.
Solar Electrical Systems installed my 32-panel system in 2010. It was everything the company represented it to be. My electric bills averaged less than one dollar. Recently, a problem occurred related to one of the support beams to which the panels had been attached--a problem that a less forthright contractor could have argued was due to faulty work by the home builder. Instead, the President of Solar Electrical Systems, Greg Johanson, met with me at my home and then stepped forward. The company disconnected the panels, installed a new beam at its expense, and reconnected the panels. If you are looking for a Solar company that stands behind its product and workmanship, look no further than Solar Electrical Systems of Westlake Village.
We had our solar PV system installed by Solar Electrical Systems 12 years ago. When our inverter finally stopped working, and I called the number and talked to Greg. The company name has changed but they're still supporting the system. Within a week Greg had his installer Cesar come out to the house and put in a new SMA Sunny Boy inverter and 3 more solar panels. The new inverter is connected to our wifi and we're getting great reports. The experience has been great throughout, and I'm happy to recommend them.
I live in Arizona but when I had a problem with my 2 inverters I called 3 local companies for advice. All 3 told me I needed new inverters (approx. $8,000.00). I looked on line and found some videos by Go Green Solar Solutions and a phone number. Greg spent 45 minutes on the phone with me knowing that there was no sale for him because they're in California. He was kind enough to explain all of the codes and their meanings. He determined that my inverter problem was on the grid (utility) side of the system. I called APS and within 3 hours a tech was at my home and diagnosed a bad ground. He temporarily replaced the ground and my solar problem was fixed. Thank you Greg! You saved me a lot of money and aggravation. I wish you were in Arizona too! Blessings to you.
Unfortunately, our experience with Go Green is not as good as others. We had our system installed back in Dec 2016. Inverter was not connected online to get performance data on the solar panels. We were told that the WiFi system was not as developed then (which is hard to believe), and they dropped the ball coming back and adding it. System cost over $34K for 26 panels, an SMA Sunny Boy Inverter and some roofing work. With this level of spend, one would think that the customer would deserve more attention. Seems like solar system installation is hit or miss these days, even with a company that others are happy with.
