This month my sprinkler system indicated a couple of serious leaks, including a big one under my wide concrete driveway. I contacted Woody's as a new customer and was super pleased with the great service and attention to my issues even though it was their busiest time. I am impressed by the experienced knowledge and integrity of their technician, AJ also! He quickly diagnosed the issues and then worked tirelessly until they were fixed. Once completed, I was relieved that the repair cost was reasonable for such a big problem. I highly recommend both Woody's and AJ and will definitely use them for all my sprinkler system services!

Gaven did a great job fixing my sprinklers and testing the system. I was able to schedule the service call only a few days out which I appreciate, most of these sprinkler people are like "next available appointment is in 8 weeks". And the cost was very reasonable. I will use Woody's again and recommend them.

Once upon a time I recommended this business to everyone. When I worked directly with big Mike (owner Mike Woods), everything was great!! They did solid landscape work for me and 'young' Mike kept my old sprinkler system running. However, last year, I was fighting cancer and made the mistake of hiring their "lawn services" to take care of weekly mows. While the main team who included Francisco were professional and good when they showed up, the person in charge of them (Jason) was terrible. His lack of organization and follow-up was appalling. He never got back to me on several requested bids for more landscaping work I needed done while I was hospitalized nor did he ever show up after promising to come by to look at an issue (3 times no show, no call).

Apparently the people in the office must be protecting him for some reason as when I complained twice I was told, oh "he would never do that"...so basically calling this customer a liar which I found extremely offensive considering how loyal I was trying to be to Mike Woods.

I honestly believe that the latest crew members hired by this company hide the truth from the owner or twist it to cover their butts instead of admitting to their screw-ups. And it seems like the care we all used to receive has diminished in a way that is negatively affecting a previously solid business. I have several friends who have had similar problems and 2 of us never heard back from the owner when we asked to discuss issues with him.

Knowing the former big Mike like I do, I have to believe that either he is no longer running the company, or has never been made aware of the real situation, or is not being told the truth about these issues. He used to always make things right, but not any more.

Additional complaint:
Instead of customer care, the new (came on board last year) office manager of this business now turns on her customers like a snake rather than believing and helping them. She is impatient, nasty and curt. So, Beware!

We've been using Woody's for several years and the customer service (which was already good) has just gotten better and better. Super appreciated the mid-season review of our sprinkler system that Woody's called me to schedule (I didn't have to remember to do it! Awesome). Gavin was professional and personable, and made some key adjustments to sprinklers so that our lawn will look even better. Woody's is always reliable!

If you want to be valued as a customer and treated and spoken to in a professional manner, I would advise you to look somewhere else for sprinkler service.

We had reached out to Woody's due to previous high customer ratings to come look at our sprinkler system as we have just recently moved and wanted to get it started up for the summer. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experiences as those who rated this company 5 stars. We were dissatisfied with the quality and thoroughness of the work completed. We had to act as quality control as it was clear if we didn't point out the problem it wasn't going to get fixed, and even after all work was completed, we still have one broken sprinkler head, one sprinkler spraying our driveway, and one spraying inside our house.

Update: It has been three weeks since the work has been done, and four of the six sprinkler heads that were fixed get stuck and don't come up or down on their own (see photos for the disappointing workmanship even though they really don't give it justice).

If that wasn't enough, we then received an invoice (two days after the payment due date must I add) that charged us double on labor. We were caught off guard with an $800 bill, and we had to deal with it until the following day as we received the invoice after office hours. Now, my husband and I are pretty easy going people, both who have worked in the customer service industry and understand mistakes happen, but this was too much.

We were able to easily remediate the extra charges, even though labor still costed more than we had initially planned. We then spoke with Mike Woods, the owner, to discuss some of our other concerns, and I was shocked by his lack of professionalism and customer service skills. He took ZERO responsibility and used excuses like "we are very busy", "mistakes happen," and started to question us about our knowledge and background of the industry.

Mike treated us like we were dishonest about our experience and that his 40 years in business and the knowledge and training of his technicians discredited any of our concerns. He also reminded us that we were just a number to him as he assured us that his "10,000 other customers were satisfied and happy with the service he provided" and told us we needed to find another sprinkler service business. I apologize for my unprofessionalism right now, but he was a total JERK. Like I said, it's been three weeks, and I am still in awe by the way he talked to us, and I am surprised that he is still in business. This interaction is probably one I will never forget.

Mike finally did agree to come look at the work, but considering his rudeness and his lack of ability to apologize, I was neither comfortable with him coming to our home nor okay with another possible bill from this company. There comes a time when one just needs to cut their losses and move on.

It was clear that we would receive no monetary discount for the lack of quality or inconvenience, but at the very least, I would have had much more respect for Mike if he could have apologized. "I'm sorry," "I understand your frustration," or "I apologize for the inconvenience" would have been better than nothing. Instead, he was full of excuses, disrespect, and told us to pay the bill and go our separate ways. We did pay the bill as we are honest people, AND we will most definitely go our separate ways.

It's never too late to be nice to people... especially during times like these. Please support a company who will value you.

Update: We had someone else come out and fix problems left by Woodys including replacing half the heads that we paid Woodys to fix. Avoid this company at all costs!!

I’ve been using Woody’s for the past few months, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very first visit their team was professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable about lawn care.

I had multiple sprinkler and landscaping companies put quotes together for installing a new sprinkler system, sod and mulch and no one even came close to the expertise and professionalism Mike provided. He was prompt, highly knowledgeable and gave me a quote for everything I asked for within 24 hours!

Once the job was scheduled I met him and the crew on the first day to go over everything and they took it from there. Once the work was complete they left everything in great condition and Mike's team emailed over directions on how to care for the new turf both short and long term.

I will be working with Mike and his team for all of my sprinkler and landscaping needs moving forward!

This is our first winter in Colorado and we are so grateful for Woodys Lawn. His team came and got our sprinklers blown out right before the first freeze. They were prompt, on time and did a great job. Super quick and easy process. Will use and recommend them over and over again for sure!

The Guy that came out for the estimate was very nice and recommended an additional line to be installed in the system to cover watering better. Estimate $1700.00 with half down for our lawn for new sprinkler heads for the current system and an additional new line w/ sprinkler head. This half down was paid. Two fellows showed up on the appointment day. They were very nice and explained everything they were doing. One fellow showed us why the new sprinkler heads were doing well when tested, and that we wouldn't need the additional line and sprinkler head. It was agreed to and then when the final bill came, the office was contacted, as FINAL invoice wasn't adjusted for the Line/Sprinkler head not used. We explained about this overlooked part and asked for a new correct invoice.
The gal there argued about the bill and they wouldn't adjust the Final Invoice! We had to pay the final sum and never got a refund of dropped line. Five months later, we received a phone call saying we owed $900.00 and need to pay it. We were shocked and called the office to say we paid in full and the line was never put in as told before. She said they were going by the ESTIMATE and that we owed $900.00. So I got onto our bank account and proved through a "picture" of our check that they had deposited into their bank, the check we gave them. Also, the debit card for original deposit. We finally convinced her we were paid up! We also argued AGAIN, that we never had the line put in and that we shouldn't be going by the "estimate Invoice".
We as of this time have NOT received a discount for the line that never got put in.
The folks that did the actual work were very good. They did an excellent job. They explained what they were doing, while working and communicated well.
The office definitely had issues. Very disorganized and should not be charging by the Estimate invoices. They should be charging by work actually done. Leave out the Estimate invoice totally. Still waiting to see if we are refunded for the charged line that was not put in.

We have used Wiodys for years. Mike and his crew are very responsive to any issues we have. Work gets done quickly and is priced right. Highly recommend Woody’s Lawn service!

We’ve been using Woody’s Landscape Services for quite some time, and they have always provided exceptional service. Their team is reliable, professional, and takes real pride in their work — our yard always looks beautiful!
