I had an interlock installed to use a generator on my house since this is likely to be a tough fire season. Gil was fantastic to work with! Communicated very well about all of my options, helped me scope out what kind of generator I needed, was timely and worked with my schedule, and did it at a great price!

If you want an electrician who works with honesty and integrity, call Black Ridge Electric. I recently had a variety of existing issues addressed/upgrades completed and all were done very well.

Other companies will charge much more for lesser quality work than Black Ridge Electric and create much more hassle. This is the only electric company I will work with from now on, from quotation to work completion to final inspection and billing everything was a positive experience!

Call out to Install a Generator Transfer Switch and ended up discovering and mitigating a Well Nightmare (3 Breaker for 1 well running 240+ an additional 120) Unnoticed this would have damaged my well pump. Gil is sharp with years on industry experience that shows through his ability to solve complex problems. Generator transfer switch install went smoothly. We tested the generator with all circuits and he took the time to teach me how to properly use it in an outage. I cannot thank you enough! Highly recommend quick turn around time!

We can’t recommend Black Ridge Electric enough! Gil is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and communicative, and he shows up when he says he will—which is rare in the mountains.

He installed a 50-amp circuit for our generator, relabeled our breaker panel, identified all switches and outlets, corrected incorrectly labeled breakers, and installed three new lights in our kitchen, stairway, and basement. He even performed a full load test to confirm everything was working perfectly.

We hired Gil again to install new rocker switches and dimmers after I quickly realized our wiring was far more complex than a DIY job. He got everything installed and working flawlessly and even hung another new light for us.

We already have future projects planned with him for floor outlets, can lighting, and switch moves during a remodel. If you’re looking for an electrician who is skilled, dependable, and great to work with, Black Ridge Electric is the one to call!
