Update in response: Like I said, I'm not paying $150 (btw, much more than other places) for a service visit so you can tell me I'm wrong. And "Well if it worked for a year, it's not our problem." Last year we had a very mild winter, so I didn't realize until this winter that the humidifier drain led OUTSIDE, so it froze, backed up, and flooded my house. And yes, after I get this underway, I will be talking to building inspectors.

I had my furnace replaced and a whole house humidifier installed just over a year ago. Not only did they leave the place a mess (even after we brought it to their attention; apparently they didn't have a shop vac, so they couldn't clean up), but they were also a hassle to work with to get the excel rebate.

I've recently discovered they used a saddle valve on one of the water lines, which isn't up to code in Colorado and SURPRISE, it leaks. Also, they recommended a furnace to me that was WAY too big for my house, which means not only did they overcharge me, but the furnace will not work properly, is inefficient, and will probably die way sooner than it should.

Can't believe I got scammed so badly.

I've been using Wheeler's for several years now and will continue for many more. They are an independently owned company and it shows! I always feel like they have a personal intrest in my hvac issues and help me fix them quickly, without pressuring me into buying a new furnace or AC like the bigger companies do if there is even a small issue. The technicians are always polite, tidy, and willing to answer all my questions throughly. They have kept my late 90's Trane unit running smoothly when others told me to replace it several times. They will definitely give replacements as an option but also offer repairs as an alterative. The owner has even called me directly to help me resolve an issue over the phone without charging me. I have always felt like they have been honest with me.

We had a maintenance agreement with one of the large local companies that advertise on the radio a lot, and during our Fall furnace checkup they said we needed a new furnace ($12,000)!

Naturally, we knew we needed a second opinion- since the unit itself only costs $1,700. Luckily, we found Jeremiah with Wheelers PHCC. They’re right up the road, independently owned, and REASONABLE.

Wheeler's installed a new mini split in my home this summer and I highly recommend them! They helped me understand the right size and number of units for my home. Other companies just quoted the biggest units so they could make more money, and lumped the rebates and tax refunds into their cost. Wheeler's cost was straight up and separate from any potential rebate or tax credit. On top of that, their communication was excellent and they did a great job on the install. I had this company install a new hot water heater in April of 2024. A contractor was here this morning and pointed out that the installation was not done correctly and is not up to code. Now I get to spend $550 to fix their poor installation. I'll post some photos soon as proof.
