Designscapes is great. The entire staff is so helpful. Compared to a lot of their projects, I am sure that our residential plan was not a huge account, but they treated us like we their most important customer. Phil was personally available to help us with every aspect of our project and even went pot and planter shopping with me! Very rare for an owner of a company like Designscapes to be so attentive. They desigend an incredible fireplace and pergola in addtition to all of our landscape and design. The entire project turned out fantastic. We highly recommend them.

Designscapes as a company treats people in an unethical way. Earlier this year, their crew hit the internet service cable running through a public space on an adjacent property. It cut my internet without any prior warning that the work would be done that day in order to prepare alternatives since I work from home. When it got cut, I informed the project manager, Chris Stone, that I would bill for my time. He said he would check with his boss, but never did and ignored it, even though I had to do all of the work (at my own expense and time lost for my job) to fix the damage done by the Designscapes crew.

I filed my invoice and didn't hear back until I called them in following up in July. It was then directed to accounts payable. Another month passed and in late August, their insurance company contacted me and on answering the insurance provider's question, I never heard back. I calling them this last week, they tried to blame the insurance company for failing to follow up. Then they tried to claim that they weren't liable and that the ISP was. Then when pressed that it was their crew that did the damage, the blame was shifted again to insurance. It's been months since I had to provide my time to fix their damage and the refuse to pay. This was forced labor under the International Labor Organization definition: "...all involuntary work or service exacted under the menace of a penalty." The penalty in this case of being blocked from my existing work and denial of income if I failed to fix the damage they caused.

They refuse to even return phone calls when they say they will. They refuse to pay for the time and work they took. Designscapes is not an ethical company and you should consider another company. And if you're the neighbor of someone that contracts with them, expect to lose money on their mismanagement.

I found this company because one of their designers did all our landscaping 15 years and we absolutely loved his design. We are currently building a new house and have a large yard, so we tracked down where this designer was working. I sent an email through the website and never heard back. I then called twice. Both times my calls were sent to Brenda, whose voicemail I received. Both times I left messages explaining we were building out at TPC Heron Lakes in Berthoud, expected completion date, and my cell number explaining I was interested in discussing a new residential build. Nobody ever called me. I called again this morning and actually just asked to speak to the designer. They told me if I didn’t have his cell number then I had to go through Brenda. I explained Brenda would not return my calls. Sandy asked for my name and new address, which is Berthoud. She said she’d talk to her manager and get back to me, but she didn’t think they did work in Berthoud. She did call me back and said they “usually” don’t go out that far and they are booked out for a year and a half, which made me wonder that had I told her it was a big job on in a golf course community if an exception would have been made. Regardless, I find it completely unprofessional to not return the email through the website or two separate voice mails, and felt since the owner replied to each of these reviews, he’d like to have this information.

I couldn't be more happy with my back patio, designed and built by Designscapes of Denver. When there is an issue Charlene and her team are on it and problem solved. I highly recommend them for anyone considering turning their backyard/outdoor space in to a living room. I know their work has not only made my home life better, it has increased the value of my property for years to come. Thanks, Char.

A long time customer since 1992 and still pleased with Designscapes of Colorado. Phil and his crew have done at least ten projects at my home and each and every one is done correctly, promptly and professionally. I would highly recommended them for any job, big or small. We are a little late to post here, but just in time if you are planning for spring landscaping! Designscapes performs nothing short of high quality, timely, and detail oriented work! Gabriel led a team that worked hard to build us our beautiful backyard living space. Every detail was tended to with high quality products and we couldn’t be happier. This is not our first work with Designscapes and it won’t be our last. We trust them and recommend anyone looking for quality design and installation to reach out! We had such a positive experience working with Travis at Designscapes to build our Preschool's brand new playground. He was patient, full of great ideas and workarounds, worked well with licensing to make sure everything we did was up to their standards, and ultimately delivered us a wonderful product. He's still on top of the punch list (not always the case when a job is finished) and we're so grateful that we found such an honest person and company with whom to work. Thank you!

This week I caused a small accident that damaged a Designscapes truck. The employee I exchanged information with was very pleasant to work with, which makes these situations so much easier to handle. When I received a call from their office to discuss the incident, I spoke with a lovely woman who explained that the company decided to pay this forward and not charge me for the damage! I was not expecting this, but I definitely appreciate it! I am currently a full-time student, so having the stress of this extra bill taken off my plate is fantastic. Designscapes did not have to respond this way, but I think this gesture shows a lot about the company and the character of their staff. It's nice to have a company in the neighborhood who truly cares about their community and the people in it!

Please do not use this company. You will be sorry. We had our backyard done two years ago. This was not a small project. We spent north of 40K and worked with Jeff Bruno. There are basic landscaping 101 fails that occurred. 1) evergreen trees were planted and covered with rocks. Rocks hold in heat and water so my trees began to die since they were literally being boiled. 2) we found 2 trees were planted with the burlap that covers the root ball, you should never plant them like that since the roots have no room to expand especially in clay soil, therefore the trees showed very little if any new growth. 3) I told Jeff how our property sits low and is in a soup bowl situation so a lot of water from neighboring properties spills into yard. They installed pop up drains vs French Drains. The pop up drains further exasperate the flooding in my yard. 4) the irrigation system set in place had way too many water spouts for the trees further drowning them. 5) the sunken concrete fire pit has massive cracking that will need to be filled in.

I first tried to call Jeff directly and didn't hear back. When I called the main office they reached out to Jeff and he told me that he "accidently blocked" my number. I'm not sure why he would do that. I have always maintained respect and professionalism with him and his crew. Since things were now awkward with Jeff, I then tried to reach out to the main office. My calls were never returned. I keep calling and leaving voicemail messages for his direct report Char (Charlene Farley Chacon) but never received a call back. Instead, Jeff Bruno called me back several weeks later. I was wanting to speak to someone at corporate to address the above as well as several other issues. I am completely disappointed in the quality of work and lack of responsiveness. We are now working with another company and spending an additional 5K to clean up the mess that Jeff Bruno and his crew left behind. The only good thing is that it appears that Jeff Bruno no longer works there, but if Char ever called me back she would know how terrible Jeff left everything and the stain that he has left on Designscapes reputation. I will never use them again.

Brian Breed and his team were awesome! Our backyard of our newly built house was odd shaped and small but with Brian's talented design and hands on and professional supervision that area is now the perfect backyard retreat and even seems bigger somehow than it was before! Couldn't be more pleased and will not even consider using anyone else in the future. I highly recommend Designscapes Colorado.

Our yard looks beautiful! We added a gas fireplace and restored a flagstone patio. In addition we added a paved pathway. Contractors were organized and cleaned up after each day. At any point in the process we were able to communicate directly with our project manager. He was very accessible to any questions or concerns we had.

Whoever is using company trucks/vehicles and lives by me cannot park to save their life. They constantly give me no space to leave and also take up a ton of space at the same time and we only have street parking in our area.

I have used Designscapes for a variety of landscaping projects for many years and have nothing but great things to say about them. The crews are always timely, friendly, professional and really care about doing quality work. They are my go to for any landscaping needs and highly recommend them!

The Design Scapes was great to work with during the design and implementation phase of my project. I was so impressed by the blueprints created by Holly and her vision for my yard. The implementation team had a great attention to detail and I love my new yard.

We had a 5-star experience working with Designscapes this spring and summer. Kristin was our designer and Matt was our project manager. Kristin was professional, creative, responsive, proactive and went the extra mile at each stage of the process. Matt was easy to reach at all times when the site work began at our house. The team that worked on our property each day were professional, hard-working, and left the site clean and tidy at the end of each day. Highly recommend.

The Designscapes lighting crew were very responsive, professional, and VERY courteous ! We love the overall effect of the lighting in our newly landscaped front & backyard.

The prep work, plant crew, irrigation team, and patio masons were an absolute pleasure to work with. Designscapes have created an oasis of calm - our own spa-like retreat where before we had an unruly wild jungle of tired overgrown, gone-to-seed vegetation that was consuming an ever-shrinking backyard. Our front yard looks so natural but at the same time dramatic with year-round variety of color! We couldn’t be more pleased. Our neighbors are all in awe. I highly recommend Designscapes from their incredible designers, to project managers, crew chiefs, and technicians. To a person they were ALL wonderful to work with!

I am so happy with the service I received from the lighting crew! They happily and kindly fixed all the issues I was having with my lights. I'm very grateful for their care and expertise!

Each light is perfectly placed, highlighting the best features of the yard. The installation team did an excellent job, blending style and practicality to make the outdoors look amazing.
