Thank you to the CEO for reaching out to me regarding my review. The following is the reasoning for my original review, which has since been changed:

I purchased 111 solar panels from Jesse Stubbs, owner of Pro Bid Energy and previously with BriteStreet Energy (he identifies himself as a "Co-Founder" of BriteStreet on LinkedIn). I had been working with a solar consultant to guide me through the process of placing a solar system on the roof of my business. I realized shortly after purchased that I had been grossly overcharged for the panels based on the going rate from other sellers, despite being told by my consultant and Mr. Stubbs that the price I was paying was as good as I would find. I discovered that my consultant had a secret financial arrangement with Mr. Stubbs, and was compensated in return for providing me false information that resulted in me purchasing the panels. Jesse Stubbs is nothing but a scam artist, and anyone interested in solar should be forewarned before doing business with him or Pro Bid Energy.

We had the great experience of having Sharon at our home tweaking our solar system. What a knowledgeable and professional young woman. She did a great job in explaining everything to us.

Update April 18:
Rob, SVP - business development reached out to me about this honest review about 6 weeks post monitoring appliance attached. I informed him that the project was not completed yet., no monitoring or final bill.
Rob jumped into action and had Benjer contact me within 2 days about monitoring. SolrenView is a basic website that only displays amount produced by hour/day. no reports or email of reports are available.
I was disappointed in the fact that I am relying on Britestreet to monitor my system; even though I purchased outright. there is no SLA on when they will reach out to you. I don't have access to my panels, wiring harness, or the whole system.
I am happy with the system when it is working. My solar has been up for 2 month with a few issues. Benjer and Eric has to come out to troubleshoot an wiring issue that tripped the solar circuit breaker.
I changed my rating since I am happy with the service provided after this review. I am informed that policy and procedures are improved based on my feedback and City Electric is no longer an installer. I was offered a reduction in my final bill to help pay for damage not reported here, since I cannot determine who was at fault. The item worked fine all 6 months of this install until the final electrician installed monitoring appliance.

Original review:
Horrible job. First they subcontract to City Electric. Be very patient, like 6 months to complete, started Oct 4th in hopes for install that same year. I informed the PM that I was on vacation the first week of January. Do NOT schedule any vacations for 6 months. After 3 times of informing the PM....bam, they schedule my install that week. So 2 weeks later, they came to install but it was snowing. No fault to Britestreet, safety first! But ZERO communications about next visit; I told the electrician and PM that I have many electronics, i.e. servers, network storage, etc. that need to be shut down before install and moving breakers. NOPE, jumped my locked fence and proceeded. I spent 5-6 hours getting everything fixed. Paperwork was left under a rock, so I assumed it was for me(manuals, etc.). WRONG AGAIN. I was at work when asked where the paperwork was located, so wasted 1 hour driving to get paperwork to them for 10am inspection. When I called the PM, she did not even know the inspection was happening that day. The Jefferson CO inspector drove up as I was leaving my house. Another month for Xcel to install the new meters(no fault of Britestreet!), and it was supposed to be a simple "flip a switch" and the system was up on Thursday. After 24 hours, production meter reads 0000 and the net meter reads 0048. When I called the PM, no it was the net meter. After pictures of each meter, finally she said to wait until Monday when City Electric was returning for monitoring. (Yes 4 days later) my system was up and working. 10% down at the start of the project. 80% down at start of install (yes, 90% paid and not one bolt or panel is installed), last 10% at monitoring stage. ZERO communication about the Xcel contract for 20 years (seems long) so I called Xcel for explanation. My advice is be very patient, know everything and manage your own project. Worst project in 25 years of owning 4 homes.
I am happy that I have solar electric as the savings of no electric bill is beneficial. Not looking to make money on solar generated or extra generated that I don’t use. Also my footprint is reduced as to the amount of energy I am needing from Xcel. 2 months post installation and I am very happy to report no issues with the system.

BriteStreet did the original install and a second set of additional panels. I have been extremely satisfied with the systems performance and the support provided by Carson and Jason. I recently had an problem with the monitor system when I changed the WiFi password and didn't know how to update the system. Jason came out in a timely manner and quickly identified this issue and updated and restored monitoring. Highly recommend BriteStreet.

BriteStreet did a great job resetting solar panels on a hail damaged roof for our clients. The work was performed on schedule and communication with staff and crew was excellent. We will definitely be using them on future projects.

Getting major home repairs done is never fun, and current pandemic challenges can only make it worse. What a relief it was to have the professionals at Brite Street Solar do the uninstall and reinstall of our home solar equipment during our recent roof replacement! The entire team was courteous, efficient, and communicated clearly with us throughout the entire process. I strongly recommend Brite Street Solar for any of your solar power needs!

I am a roofing contractor and used BriteStreet for a PV panel detach/disposal project. I got the estimate within 48 hours. And they worked with our schedule to coordinate the roof replacement with the panel removal. We all hit our target profit margins. The project was a success. They will get all the looks for all of our solar needs in the future.

I hired BriteStreet to uninstall and reinstall solar panels due to a roof shingle replacement and I had a very positive and professional experience with them. Very timely communication and competitive pricing. Most important, even with a small hitch along the way they were very responsive and took care of the problem. Great customer service and I am very happy with the Service they provided.

I paid over $16,000 for a solar panel system on my house in 2016 . Brite Street finished, never answered any questions or showed anything about how the system works. They installed the second meter can 20 feet away from the main meter can and Xcel hasn’t credited me anything. My electric bill has actually increased because of the extra meter charge. That’s right ! Eight years , no savings, no service and no apologies. The loan company sure as hell wants there money every month though. The total cost was somewhere in the neighborhood of $26,000 with no battery bank which makes it a joke. They know this . If you don’t have the ability to store the power you produce it goes back to Xcel with little to zero credit. It doesn’t cover the extra meter can!!!!! Especially when Brite Street sets it in the wrong place . It’s been 8 years and I can honestly say it was a waste of money and time.
Brite Street should be ashamed!!!! Xcel Energy should be ashamed!! You rip people off and lie about the systems you push. The lying salesman said I wouldn’t have an electric bill. That was a lie. Don’t do solar without back up batteries or all you are doing is producing electricity for Xcel and paying for an extra meter. Don’t listen to the lies of Brite Street on how it will erase your electrical bill . The last time I was part of anything this regrettable was when I owned Enron Stock. Total loss! Don’t do it! It’s a scam! I’ve lost thousands. Thousands!!!!! Terrible people. Terrible company. Terrible product and installation.

Highly recommend BriteStreet Solar. We bought a home that had the panels and the previous homeowner did not let us know they were in need of repair. We called Alex and explained the situation and they were very responsive and sent trained and knowledgable personnel (Howie and Jason) who inspected the unit, located the issue immediately and exceeded our expectations by researching the contract and going above and beyond to rectify the issues we inherited. For a company to have such integrity is a rarity these days. Excellent experience. Thank you!

This is an update to an earlier review in which I gave BriteStreet 1 star because BriteStreet was contracted to do a solar panel detach and reinstall for a roof replacement. After detachment and roof replacement, PPRD informed me a permit had not been pulled for the detachment, therefore roofing inspection is an automatic fail. They also informed me BriteStreet lost their license and could not pull a permit until their license is reinstated.
Subsequently, BriteStreet was able to clear their previous permits, reinstate their license, pull a permit on my project and get it squared away.

We recently got solar panels installed. My dad is the owner of the house and was therefore the one in front of these plans. He doesn't speak English very much but the company's staff was AMAZING. They used goggle translate to communicate with him here and there, and did not let language be a barrier. The staff was very respectful when working in our home. They did not bother us at all and were so good with our dogs. We have 4 dogs and they can get rowdy with strangers. But the staff was so good and respectful with our dogs. We are more than satisfied with the service provided.

We were very happy with BriteStreet Solar, and I highly recommend them. They did a de-attach/re-attach of our existing solar panels so that we could get a new roof. Our new roof is the DaVinci shake shingles (not as common as other roof types). Even when the process became more challenging than anticipated because of the less common shingle type, they worked carefully through the project and honored the original estimate. Honest company; very responsive; easy to work with.

We have a special roof material (DaVinci Bellaforte), and searched for over two years for a company that would install solar on it. One company agreed to do it, then backed out, then a year later agreed to do it again, drew up plans, accepted my deposit ... and then backed out again. I had pretty much given up hope, then got a referral to BriteStreet. They didn't so much as blink about our roofing material, and Chris (our salesman) had plans drawn up with all the equipment I requested (I knew what I wanted after all that research, and they readily agreed to install it). After signing and providing my deposit, Alyssa (our project manager) held my hand through the maze of Xcel forms (even though Xcel really dragged their feet and were very obtuse about answering any questions). Once the Xcel stuff was taken care of, they scheduled the install for two weeks later. The foreman of the installation crew, Gabriel, was awesome to work with - very patient, answered all my questions and responded to my concerns. We now have our solar equipment fully installed and are (once again) waiting on Xcel to connect us.

Working with BriteStreet has been a wonderful experience. Everyone has been friendly, professional, and courteous. They worked the installation around my crazy schedule. They took care walking on my roof since the tiles can easily crack if stepped on wrong. They also did a good job cleaning up behind themselves. Candy was extremely helpful in ensuring everything was scheduled and done to my satisfaction. She coordinated with the City inspector and Xcel, ensuring it was a painless experience for me. I highly recommend BriteStreet to anyone considering solar installation.

I had hail damage and the insurance company said I was eligible for a new roof. I had 28 solar panels they were willing to pay to remove and replace. I contacted my original Solar installer and they said they have up to 45 days to come out. I said great. Can I get a date? They said it would take 2 weeks to for the schedulers to have a date. After 3 weeks of run around and no date I gave up. My roofing contractor said he had good experience with BriteStreet Solar. So I called them and expected the same run around trying to get a date from them. Within one day, they gave me a date... for the next week!! I was stunned by their responsiveness!!! In addition to their competitive quote, they insisted on a critter guard, number one preventive maintenance for the longevity of your system, around the panels included in the quote. They assembled my 10 year old system as quoted. I thought the team was very friendly and professional!

They did a fantastic job keeping me apprised of the installation timeline. Employees were incredibly professional and helpful during everything. Nice to have a $0 electricity bill now and grandfathered into Xcel's 1-1 net metering for life. Anything I generate is used before paying for electricity. Had a couple minor issues they addressed immediately.

Now just looking into heat-pumps so I don't have to pay for natural gas heating either.

PS They have shorter loan terms available if you can handle the higher payments. End result is paying less for the system. You could also pay in cash which would give you a huge discount. Also make sure if you want EV charging to get that in your initial contract as well.
