We had looked into 3 different companies before 1solar. 1 solar was the only company we felt comfortable moving forward with. Casey was super easy to work with and we were installed and producing in only 65 days. We are very happy with our purchase!

I worked closely with Matthew Schriek from 1Solar to get solar panels installed on my home. For the most part, my experience was entirely hands-off. They did all of the heavy lifting, from calculating an optimal amount of panels to cover our energy consumption to submitting and getting approvals (including HOA)! They coordinated with our local energy company for net metering and scheduled all of the appointments for the work to get done. It was truly very simple, streamlined and stress free.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR SOLAR.

I wish I could give OneSolar a better review but our experience has been truly awful.

Back in October of 2021, we signed up for Solar. It has been 6 months of back and fourth communication and 15+ visits from the company to our home with zero resolve.

Our panels have been on our roof for 2 months but are still not functioning. Upon the initial inspection, the company rep damaged our attic door and left dirty hand prints on our doors. After install of our panels, we failed the city inspection which is not comforting. Our most recent challenge is an assessment by Xcel for a new ‘transformer’. Our home was built in June of 2022.

The reps for our panels show up unannounced - we were not even notified before our install date. We have a sleeping baby at home so this was especially disruptive.

I hope our panels are functioning soon but we are looking at at least another 30 business days.

I recommend doing your research before signing on with OneSolar. I also recommend anticipating a 7+ month process.

1Solar was subcontracted by Nova Solar to do my panels. Between the two companies I've had 7 different reps over the past 6 months. Like many others, I signed the contract for my panels in May 2022 and it's now March 2023 and the panels have not come online. Technicians from 1Solar have showed up with no notice, or not shown up at all. When I do finally get on the schedule, it's weeks away. I had technicians show up for a panel installation a month after the panels were already put on my roof! This company is an absolute joke.

Two years ago I spent 43200.00 for a solar system on my home. There was a terrible problem getting the right equipment for the system to not flat line.
Now I have a panel on the roof that is shattered on its surface and am told there is no warranty on the panels. That I have to get someone to do the repairs.
Don't get involved with this company. They take your money and then act like they don't know you. Robert Lee Fowler Co.

I would give 1Solar zero stars. They installed solar panels in direct shade from my trees. They were supposed to install them on my east facing roof but changed the plans at the time of installation. They tell me to contact Nova Solar the sales arm which is a separate company. Nova Solar refers me to 1Solar. It's a total sham and they aren't offering to solve the problem. They are terrible to get someone to call you back. Do not buy from them.

My aspen trees are less than 2ft from my south gutter and you want to tell me that this is a proper install? Of course the system is operating fine now as all of the leaves are off the trees in December. I have 3 panels in shade during the summer and you're time that was part of your planned install?

1Solar took over fulfilment of the service I originally arranged with Titanium Solar. Much was lost in the transition. But we did work it out and as of a few hours ago my system is generating power!

Most od the stars in my review go to the customer support team. Deb, Sarah, and Hunter especially; each was responsive ans receptive and helped to clear up the confusion when it would manifest.

I was not communicated with about anything during the process, Installation took over 8 months. My roof needed supported but they put the panels on 3 months before a team came out to support the roof. I was lied to in the beginning by the salesman anyway. Was told so many things that were a lie. I’ve been paying two bills for 3 months because it was stuck in night mode or something wasn’t installed right… which ever the excuse was at the time. I would think twice before going with solar 1.

Ezra has been so lovely to work with! He's quick to communicate updates about my project to me, and talking with him about my project doesn't feel like just talking to a rep about business - his friendliness makes him feel comfortable to talk to and gives me a sense of trust that I'll be in the know of what's going on with my project every step of the way.

1Solar is a total SCAM. DO NOT get your solar panels through them, currently stuck with two bills, have been trying to get this resolved for the last 6 months, anytime I call I get excuse after another I was even given the wrong company address. There is absolutely no way of getting in contact with a supervisor. Worst company ever. as soon as Cooper (the “owner”) gets your business you will never hear from him again. Will be filing a complaint through BBB to start.

If I could give them a 0 star I would!!! They couldn't get my solar right and it took over 3 months just to get it up and running then they told me my solar would be producing solar so I would not have to pay a light bill or a very minimal light bill and this couldn't be further from the truth. I would never ever recommend!!! I just called and no answer...why because I'm an exciting customer...I'm so sick of this company and I hope and pray no one ever goes with them!!!

My wife and I just closed on a new townhouse that has a 1Solar system installed. My experience so far has been limited to communicating with the company’s customer service representatives, Hunter (primarily) and Cece. They have been extremely professional, providing exactly the type of service any consumer would crave. Their follow-through and attention to detail has been exceptional and their sunny dispositions are a pleasure. I heard so many horror stories about solar companies so I was concerned in taking over a system that I did not have installed. Hunter and Cece have put me greatly at ease and I am looking forward to a long and beneficial relationship with the company. Based upon the previous 12 months of billing we reviewed in Due diligence, the system is performing quite well with zero electric charges from Xcel.

1Solar has been a great experience, we were informed of all appointments promptly and when the technicians were arriving and had arrived. We did have an issue with our roof leaking afterwards and after contacting 1Solar they have a roofing company coming out to fix the roof. Everyone we have come in contact with during this experience has been kind and just all around given a great experience. I want to thank everyone, you all have been amazing

Started on this journey in Sept. 2022. Ended in Feb 2024. Typically, solar panel installation from start to finish take no longer 6mos time. When salesman came to our door and pitched the best information possible for my husband and I, we were on board. As we started the process, it was one problem after another. Technicians did not show. Then there was the electricians , who did not talk with other employees. Then the customer support. Do not get me started on that aspect.

Could go on and on on the overall poor service and technical support of this ridiculous company. Just saying that , get the point.

Closing , I would say do a lot of research and ask around to your neighbors or friends who have solar panels. See what they have to say.

Our experience was painfully disappointing. Buyer beware.

One solar is not the choice in deciding to get solar panels.

The staff at OneSolar has been very kind and helpful throughout the process. Ezra has been our main point of communication and has been great. All of the technicians have been good as well, including Ryan who was very good at explaining things in a way we could understand and answering all of our questions.

We were very impressed with 1Solar. The information was presented in a straightforward way during our consult with Christian. He really made it a no brainer that solar was our best option as energy source when we purchased our new home in 2023. He did an excellent job making sure all our solar questions were answered and getting us qualified all at our kitchen table during our consult. The process from start to finish was simple, and Josh did an excellent job keeping us updated along the way. They worked well with our schedules for electrical and installation appointment and we have been enjoying the system since. Would recommend this company to anyone looking to explore solar options as their customer service is top notch.

I am not giving a positive review do to: they do not fulfill their promises, they outsource their work, phone number they give you can never reach anyone, can only text that number. That company (Nova Source) canceled 2 appointments & took them 3 months to finally come out here. I had to pay a lot higher utility bill & being on a fixed income it was very hard to pay it. Plus having to pay for our non working solar! And no one seems to give a hoot! Except for: one tech that had to input our new serial number & got the system working again.

Giving 2 stars since 2.5 isn't an option. Its not that it is a bad company. They just don't seem to be competent. We have had their solar panels for a couple of years now and it has been a very rough road. At first, we were told that we don't use enough electricity for the program. Then we were told that we could purchase as long as we bought 2 extra solar panels to meet the minimum requirement. So we bought the "2 extra." Unfortunately, they haven't produced enough electricity to meet our needs so we are paying for solar panels and an electric bill. There was also the numerous times our panels went down. We lost months of production and had to have them come out to repair multiple times. After a few months with no production and multiple repair technicians, they finally found a loose neutral wire was causing the issue. When we asked to be compensated for their error, we were denied. I would definitely recommend finding a solar company that stands by their work and makes it right if they make a mistake. I wish we had gone with a different company. I wish our "2 extra" panels produced enough electricity to meet our needs. I wish we hadn't have had to push and push and push to get the things our salesman promised us (electrical panel upgrade and attic insulation). I wish I had done more research before choosing this company. I am now stuck with a system that is insufficient.

I haven’t received the annual excess energy payment from my energy company. The energy company is starting that the solar panels were not connected (Solar1 is responsible for this). Solar1 texted me recently and I explained the issue. No response for Solar1. I’m suck with solar panels that I can’t receive excess energy payment on. Please help. Solar1/energy not trusted companies! Kenzie doesn’t respond to the issue (text screenshot attachment).

Ezra has performed well representing my repair needs. He has kept me in the loop about what the repair work entail, scheduled technician arrival, then he followed up with me to be sure the work was performed to my satisfaction. I recommend 1 Solar because of their attention to your system needs and prompt follow through with any questions I had. Good customer service is hard to find these days and 1 Solar shines with their customer service.
