Interstate 25 Mechanical

Update below: Had boiler installed 2 years ago by Ramsey, had several ongoing problems, and it kept shutting itself off. Had Ramsey out multiple times, problem not resolved. Had two other companies out to look at it, both said that the boiler was missing parts, and wasn’t installed correctly. Dealing with BBB now.

Update: Happy to supply photos and installation schematics—i25’s installation ignored risk of fire and other serious and direct warnings from manufacturer. The boiler did not function correctly and was likely damaged due to poor installation. It shut itself off regularly. When installing a boiler, the “close to boiler” components must be piped per manufacturer specs and I25 Mechanical did not. They basically cut off the old-not high efficiency boiler and put the new high efficiency boiler in the same place using the same valves, pipes and tubes from at least 10-15 years ago that do not match the new boiler’s specifications, and admit to doing that while insisting they followed specs-lazy work. One of many examples: Manufacturer requires outside venting for clean air into the system with risk of fire warnings for anything else. Ramsey installed the “fresh air intake” inside our mechanical room.

I did not pay the “small bill” because there is a year left on the installation warranty, and the boiler shutting itself off was an ongoing problem.

Passing building inspection does not guarantee manfacturers specs were followed. The permit number supplied here showed up in the system 11 months after installation, and wasn’t officially “approved” until September 2023, from an installation of November 2021. To say this is a hot mess is an understatement, and the inspections alone don’t add up. Currently working with the BBB.

My furnace died in the middle of the night, and Ramsey came to look at it at 1:30 in the morning. He diagnosed the issue very quickly, and very kindly lent me a small space heater to use until he could get the part and fix the furnace later that morning. He also returned to fix a wiring issue he noticed at the time with my humidifier at no additional charge saying he considered it part of the same job. I am so very grateful for the quick and quality service!

Ramsey and his team are amazing. I have had so many issues with a boiler another company installed. He trouble shooted issue after issue and it is working well now. Ramsey stuck around when other companies gave up. Thank you!!!!

Update! Still having issues with this system but Ramsey hasn't given up. He has really gone the extra mile(s)! He was able to escalate the issue to the manufacturers local tech. Ramsey 100% knows his stuff but this equipment is just not working as it should so he called in reinforcements. Super smart and we are making progress. And again, he hasn't given up on me like the installation company has. Hard to find people you can count on and trust these days. You can trust this guy. Thank you Ramsey!
