DO NOT USE Windisch Chimney! They talk a good talk but do not know what they're doing when it comes down to the work! We asked for exposed aggregate stairs and they built horrible-looking, unsafe (uneven) stairs that we now need to replace. The attached pictures say it all. They admitted it was so bad that they would give us our money back - I even have it in writing in a text. They gave us a date and time to return the money and then never showed and stopped answering calls or texts. I don't have much hope to get my money back but I'm filing in small claims court.

Peter was great, very responsive and communicative. He also did the job quickly, went the extra mile and the price was super reasonable. I will totally recommend him.

Pete Windisch recently inspected our wood burning stove. The entire experience was awesome. Easy to schedule, on time and very professional. The service was affordable and they offer a Military discount. Pete took the time to go over specific items to pay attention to. I would recommend Pete without reservation.

Peter Windisch puts his name to his company, and that means something. In a business where rip offs and incompetence are prevalent, Peter stands apart from the rest. He is kind, understanding and, above all, competent. In repairing my chimney, he was dealing with a total mess made by an incompetent chimney service, and he was dealing with a traumatized homeowner. He did a fine job, and I'm enjoying my fire place again. He went above and beyond to explain everything to me and respond to every concern I had. I nearly cancelled out and was just going to close off my chimney. I'm very glad I took a chance on this company.

Peter did an amazing job on our 50 year old chimney, replacing the crown, waterproofing the brick, cleaning the flue and firebox, and cleaning up thoroughly after the work.

Pete was awesome! He went above and beyond to repair our chimney, was a good communicator, always on time, great to work with. Even though we called him initially to clean our chimney, upon inspecting it he showed us it didn’t need cleaning at all and didn’t charge us for the visit. He also gave us some great advice on how to effectively operate our fireplace. All around, Pete runs a great business and I’ll call him anytime I need help with my chimney.

Very disappointing experience with Guardian Carpet Care. The initial job was poorly done, with stains still clearly visible.

When I asked them to come back, the technician said additional cleaning wouldn’t make a difference. However, the manager insisted a refund would only be possible if they were given another chance—despite their own tech declining to proceed. It felt very lazy and like Nathan (carpet tech) did not want to deal with it.

I was only given a partial refund and had to pay another company to fix their work. Poor service and frustrating customer support. Would not recommend.

We’ve hired Guardian Carpet Care several times and they’ve always done an amazing job! Nathan is very flexible and manages to work within my husband and I’s busy schedules. We own two cats, and once the job is finished our carpet looks better than ever ☺️

Edit with an update:
Guardian Carpet Care reached back out to us after our original review, stating they would like to send the same technician out to make things right. They said they could get them out the same week but we requested the next Monday to give us time to move boxes and such and they accommodated our request. They had sent a text to confirm whether or not they were still good to come the night prior and were responsive until we asked them if they were just doing spots missed and stains or if they would do the entire house again (we had asked this time around because we wanted to move furniture for them). They did send a message apologizing that they did not see that message. The technician came and none of us knew if he was supposed to do just spots or the whole carpet so he ended up doing spots in the basement and the entire upstairs per our request. They really seemed to take their time this go around and they even got up stains that they said they weren't sure they would be able to. I know it can be difficult to face someone who has complained about you or criticized your work but the technician was very kind and professional and he explained things and answered all of the questions we had today. We should have paid better attention the first time around when he came rather than being distracted and having to have him come back. He took the time after to make sure I was satisfied with the work he did and he apologized that the first time was not up to our standards. He explained why some stains may not come out and he also explained that he did pretreat the stains the first time around which we did not know that he did. Overall, we are more satisfied with the experience we had with them today and are grateful they came back and were able to get our carpets looking cleaner. The technician also said that he would speak with his manager about the communication issues that we had. We also received a message following up and asking us how the cleaning went today to ensure we were satisfied with it.

We recently purchased a home and needed the carpets professionally cleaned. We hired Guardian Carpet Care for the job, but unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with the service provided.

The technician arrived about an hour earlier than scheduled, which we accommodated after being told that pre-vacuuming would not be necessary. Prior to the cleaning, my fiancé specifically pointed out several large stains that required attention. At that time, the technician mentioned he was unsure if he would be able to remove the largest stain; however, no pre-treatment options were offered or discussed. Had we been informed, we would have been willing to pay for additional treatment to improve the results.

The entire cleaning of our 3,200 sq ft home was completed in just over an hour, which raised concerns about the thoroughness of the work. There was no furniture in the home, yet several areas were missed entirely, including sections where small mildew patches were present, as well as areas behind doors. It appeared that the cleaning was rushed and not completed with proper attention to detail.

Additionally, we were initially quoted a price over the phone, but the final cost ended up being higher because the stairs were not included in the original estimate, despite being discussed during the call. This lack of clarity and consistency in pricing was frustrating.

Following the appointment, my fiancé contacted the company to address these concerns and give them an opportunity to resolve the issue. We were asked to provide photos and were told we would receive a follow-up call; however, we never heard back.

Overall, we are disappointed with both the quality of the service, the unexpected pricing discrepancy, and the lack of follow-up communication.

I used a small portable carpet cleaner, small tank, after they left I still got 3 tanks full of dirty water from one bedroom. Probably just do myself for now on.
