Last year my wife decided she would like to light up our large Pine tree in the front of the house for the holidays. She spoke to several people and the representative from SavATree basically had the best pitch of how great they could make the tree look and the price was reasonable around $500. She has been looking forward to this all year. In AUG the company offered us a further discount for prepaying and we di in the amount of $458.81. A different representative on the phone also commented how great this was going to look. Fast forward to last week (final site survey before install this week), when another representative comes out and says that this is going to look really bad unless we pay more money ...on the order of almost a factor of ten times more...$4800.
The company acknowledges that their representative misrepresented what they were going to provide but see now reason to honor the original effect that we contracted and paid for. They say we wont be happy with that type of light that their representative put in for...I'm no lighting expert and the size of bulbs with technology today seems irrelevant. It also seems irrelevant since they aren't selling us the light but rather borrowing us their lights and gets them back. In essence there shouldn't be an difference in cost stringing a C9 , D4 or whatever they are since they get them back. The effort is putting them up and taking them down.
We contracted for a visual effect, not a specific bulb type. They promised a beautiful display for $500, they should deliver that.
The lights are temporary and reused, so the cost difference between bulb types is negligible.
Installation labor is the real cost, and that was already factored into your prepaid amount.
They admitted fault, they should make it right.

Natalie and the team were a great help. We need trees trimmed and cut back for wild fire mitigation demanded by our home insurer. They did the job and connected us with resources at the local Fire Department that really helped as well. Highest recommendation given.

The team arrived on-time with all the necessary people and tools to compete the job. The team leader had all the notes from the original assessment and consulted with us about any other concerns or issues we might have (we had none).

The job was done in a professional manner. Our apple tree still looks like a tree despite all the dead and dying limbs and branches being removed. The workers did a fantastic job of cleaning up all the trimming debris from the yard, and then the team leader followed-up with us before departing.

All in all, I'd say we got fantastic service at a reasonable price.

I really enjoy our yard and trees but knew it was time to get things trimmed up to get everything ready for spring. I reached out to Save-a-tree and they were great. I was really impressed today with the job Zach and Joey did getting the trees and shrubs trimmed. Everything looks fantastic! They did a great job explaining what they were doing and also did a wonderful job cleaning everything up. I would definitely highly recommend!!

Terrible customer service
Was overcharged and took us forever to get our money back. Promised call backs countess times....never got a call back.

Had some difficulty confirming time window for them to show. But after that was worked out, crew did a great job -- I'm very happy with the result.

I was driving down Galley heading East behind one of their trucks hauling a trailer with no tailgate. I decided it would be best to stay from behind them and no sooner than I switched lanes, a huge chunk of wood with nails and some broken pavestone pieces fly out when they hit a pothole. Seems like they don't understand how to clean and dispose of their junk. Poor work ethic.

We hired the company for leave clean up and trimmering of bushes. First told that would only there would only be 2 workers, so the job would go quockly. Three workers showed up and 5.5 hours later, equaled 90.00 an hrs instead of 60.00. So it cost 500.00 for job. This crew had none of the updated equipment, so may contribute to the length of time.

Pricing was fair to install ~1,400 sq ft of flagstone on sidewalk and back patio. Hortus treated our job with NO priority taking 3-4 months. Winter came so NO SEALER on the flagstone. We reluctantly paid the remaining installment with the understanding Hortus will return in the spring to apply the sealer. What a mistake. The owner Tayde signed the receipt writing will return , but Hortus was no show or did not return repeated phone calls. We are now stuck with the cost to seal the flagstone. Would never recommend this landscaper to anyone.
