Loved service….. great company I would recommend

Very disappointed. I've used them twice before for firewood, and never any problems. This year, my wife called and spoke to someone who stated that they would have another person call us. Never got that return call, so my wife called again, this time speaking to someone who stated that she would need to check the delivery schedule and call us back. Nope, didn't happen. The final straw? Called for a third time yesterday, was told that they would deliver to us TODAY at 11 (supposedly second on their list). It's past 2 already, no one in the office to call, and thinking we will not get the wood. Whatever happened to customer service? Shame...

I would definitely not recommend this Company. While trimming trees outside of my business, they put the equipment that grinds the trees right outside the window of my hair salon. Not only was the noise so loud that I could not hear my clients, the fumes were coming into the building. When I politely ask them if they could move their equipment, I was dismissed. The company will not return my calls.

No show/no call on the day they were supposed to remove my tree. The young lady answering the phone made many promises that were not fulfilled. And she never called back like she said she would. Once they finally showed up it took 4 days to get the job done. Workers were courteous and nice when they were on site. Price was reasonable. Clean up crew was awesome. Tree cutter took way to long and worked for short periods of time each day. Customer Service training for this company would be a plus to their business.

Did not get the opportunity to see how their workmanship was. They were supposed to be to my house at 1:00 no one showed up for no phone call so I called and the lady said he was running behind schedule and was on his way. Then the lady called back and changed her story. If it starts out like this I'm sure the ending is not too good I would highly recommend other companies.

I appreciate the lady that answers the phone. She was upbeat and responsive.The Hortus employees that worked on my property worked very hard and have great skills. I watched in amazement at how efficiently they cut down a big tree of mine that was dying. For my landscape and tree needs, Hortus is the company that I trust.

We used this company to trim a maple in our backyard. Not only did they show a day later but they left all the tree branches in my driveway! They informs us they would be back later to pick them up. Well, it’s going on two days and they won’t even return our calls! The city came by and issued a warning that it must be cleaned up. Completely outraged with their customer service and lack of care. Highly do not recommend them.

I asked Hortus to come out and give me an estimate on a large pine tree removal. They did and set up a time Saturday, 8:30AM on Labor Day to have it done. I changed my weekend schedule to accommodate this time, but no one showed up to take down the tree. I left a message with the Hortus office and no one returned my call. I finally called them and got a person and they set up another appointment (without apologizing for missing the first one). It was another Saturday (today), so again, I changed my schedule to accommodate this. On the day before (yesterday), I called to ensure someone would be coming to cut down the tree and I was told, yes, they would be. But, no one showed again. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Please, find another company to do your work. Let's don't reward this type of customer non-service.

I used Hortus for years doing tree trimming n removal n stone n stucco work. Last year they did some stucco work for me n I watched their workers closely. They were not using the chicken wire on the stucco n I told them it will crack. Tye, the owner, told me not to worry that I had a year warranty. Within 6 months, I had huge cracks along the stucco wall. Tye came out to look at it in January n said he’ll have to wait until it gets warmer to repair it. Summer came n I called them about 10 times n the woman that answers the phone, I believe to be his wife, said he will call me. He never did. I was going to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau n was informed I would have to send a letter. When I looked up their address, it was a vacant lot. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I had a very large cottonwood tree that sadly had to be removed. It was a big job and Hortus did a fantastic job. Their crew is very experienced.
Towards the end when the roots needed to be removed, we had a communication breakdown.
Instead of allowing a middle man go back and forth, the owner got on the phone and handled the situation with professionalism and swiftness to my complete satisfaction.

Hortus has done two projects for us, the first removing evergreen bushes that have been in are yard for 37 years as long as we owned are house they did it in a timely manner also picked up the mess and hauled it all away the workers were just amazing, we had talked to them about building a fence inside are fence for a garden and to keep the dogs from running are neighbors fence with there dogs and barking and ripping at the wood. So Chris came out and listened to what we wanted he knew his business so he measured got us a bid and said lucky for us they could start that afternoon we were thrilled once again they got right in there and started working we could not believe how much they got done the first day such hard workers and what Chris said was going to be done that day got done they went above and beyond and hauled away a lot of things others would have left Chris talked to us every day he walked with us and showed us how things were going we were absolutely pleased with how are fence turned out I felt that they integrity in there work and we felt they were also proud of the job they did I would refer this company to anyone we personally wish we had more work to give them maybe in the future we will. I would give the company a 10 from the first meeting to dealing with the workers to the front office to Chris to his helper and the job finished,. we thank you Bob and Sherrie Nickum

Hortus did an amazing job removing a large cottonwood situated between two houses/ surrounded by fence on two sides. They kept true to their estimate even though it took more work than expected. They did an amazing job with cleanup. The team was friendly, professional, respectful of property, and extremely hard working. Would highly recommend!
