We came home in mid-May from a 10 day trip to discover our furnace boiler had died. Since the outside temps were somewhat mild, I didn’t get a warning message on my phone about the interior house temp being dangerously low.

It was a Friday afternoon and I wasn’t sure if I could even reach an HVAC contractor to check it out and help us solve the problem before the house started getting colder. Another issue is that we have a water heater which is tied to the boiler, so…no heat and no hot water.

Ponderosa HVAC was recommended by a local friend who was very pleased with their work. I contacted Ponderosa as well as a few more contractors. They all pretty much agreed that the boiler (36 yrs old) should be replaced.

We chose Ponderosa based on the recommendation and their competitive bid, they weren’t the lowest, but we thought they were the most trusted. They arrived the following Monday and went to work. I have to say that we were amazed at Ponderosa’s hard work and due diligence, as well as having them explain the “how’s” and “why’s” during the installation process.

Ponderosa is the real deal when it comes to this type of issue. We’ve enjoyed working with Moe, Jay, John, Jerry, Lorenzo, Chris, and the others that I may have forgotten.

I’ll be calling them in the future for any HVAC problem that we need help with.

Very responsive for weekend service! My A/C died while I was away and it was 90 degrees inside. I called them at 6pm on a Sunday and they had someone at my house within 90 minutes. He fixed the issue and waited to make sure it did not recur.

I was so impressed with Ponderosa when I received a call from Moe, reminding me to call and schedule a free check up of my heating unit and water heater (both were installed in January). I scheduled the appointment, mentioning that I might not be home at the time of the start of my time appointment window. Michael came out today to perform the service and arrived at the start of that window. I was still at the dentist office when he arrived (and my car was in the shop). He volunteered to drive over to the dentist office to pick me up. I was blown away and accepted his generosity. Unbelievable customer service! I vow that when I schedule future appointments, I will make certain I am home during the entire appointment window so this doesn't cost the company time, manpower and fuel. Michael is so friendly and professional. He performed the work quickly and efficiently. He even commented on how well the installers had done their jobs. I highly recommend this company and their employees.

Spencer at Ponderosa did an excellent job servicing my Fireplace. I highly recommend Spencer and Ponderosa!

Spencer was very diligent in replacing the insulated gasket for my gas fireplace so there are no leaks. He also cleaned the unit and left the workspace clean.

Chris came out to check the newly installed HVAC system in our home today and did a great job explaining things clearly and helping me understand the system installed by the Ponderosa team. Moe has also been very helpful over the years of troubleshooting our system before we decided to replace it. I find this company and everyone we’ve worked with to be trustworthy and experienced.

Ponderosa & Mike really came through for us when are furnace went out. They got to us the same day and fixed it promptly.

My tech Michael was, kind , professional and explained things to me in a way I could easily understand. He did a very thorough check on my boiler and hot water heater. Highly recommend!

They were able to do a thorough maintenance and cleaning of our 1990’s gas fireplace. They also gave me a heads up of some items that may need replacement in the next year or so with an approximate cost for those items. They were very respectful of me and our home. Will be using them again for sure.

Chris was great! On time and was very through doing maintenance on my furnace and AC at a reasonable cost. I will definitely be a coming to Ponderosa and Chris for any future HVAC needs. Highly recommended!

Ponderosa HVAC is a fantastic company to do business with. We purchased a new furnace from them a couple of years ago and have had them perform the annual service calls. They are always very professional and have taken care of any minor issues that needed to be addressed. The company operates with integrity and true service. This is not easy to find. I was referred to them by someone I trust and have since referred others to them as well.

Chris has come to my house twice for heating and cooling system inspection and maintenance. He remembered our discussions from his previous visit. He is friendly, efficient, and professional. He did a thorough inspection and answered all of my questions. I will request Chris to do my next inspection.

Michael was great! Very thorough and knowledgeable. Although all he did was a tuneup and cleaning, he went above my expectations with some assistance on preventative maintenance in regard to exhaust and drainage that could have caused issues later.

And, my dog wanted to go with him.

Moe is an excellent communicator and adept at explaining the pros and cons of different HVAC choices. I thought I might need a new furnace. Moe took the time to inspect things and support my decision to stick with my furnace a bit longer. It’s rare to encounter that type of ethics/character in HVAC sales where the temptation to push an expensive new system is strong. The Ponderosa team has earned my business for life.

Micheal from Ponderosa was great. He found the issue, corrected it, and it all only costed $160. He was honest and taught me a good amount about my furnace and AC unit while he was working, which is nice because I don’t know much about it beforehand.

Professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We appreciated being able to get on the schedule within a week of calling Ponderosa to have our furnace and water heater systems serviced. Michael- the tech- showed up on time, was friendly and professional. He provided us some recommendations and answered some of our questions that the last company couldn't.
