This company gets a 5 out of 5 star rating from us. After reading Next Door Neighbor reviews we interviewed Moe Elmunaier owner of Ponderosa Heating and he was most informative. He inspected our ducts, our home was built in 1972, and chose a furnace that he guaranteed would meet our needs with just a little bit of ductwork. He thoroughly explained how he decided on the size of the furnace and the brand. He said he would install a new thermostat also. He adjusted our new tankless water heater at no charge. He said that many companies don't take into consideration that we live at higher altitude and that this influences the size of the furnace as well as its settings. So now we have heat professionally installed by Jerry, John, and Alex and no major ductwork was required. Their electricians came and brought our sump pump and water heater up to code. The cost of all this work was clearly written up for us and the price was as expected. We highly recommend Ponderosa as many others have previously.

Mike with Ponderosa was great! He was very friendly and did great work. I also appreciate the communication via text on when he would arrive and even though I was home, it was great to get the text on when he had completed the work. My furnaces are ready for winter!

Excellent, professional installation and service on a complete heating system replacement. Meticulous and clean work. Everything worked flawlessly from the onset, and they returned two weeks later to re-check and calibrate entire system. Not an inexpensive project, yet I am very pleased and satisfied with the money I spent.

The Ponderosa team did a fantastic job. From the initial inspection, discussion of needs/wants, bidding process on through to the installation, shared operational instruction and tips. Cleaned up and allowed for installation inspection prior to paying the bill. Jeffco County required new furnace installation mechanical permit was included. Very professional. Completely satisfied! Great company! My central heat system wasn’t functioning properly so I found this company on Maps with a location close by my home. I entered my inquiry on the website, received a call, discussed my issue, set an appointment for the next day, received texts to keep me informed of the tech and arrival. Michael arrived right on time, he was friendly and professional. He fixed the problem and got my heat working again. The price for the service call was extremely fair and reasonable. I also discussed with him my future plans to add AC by summer. He was very helpful. I couldn’t have asked a better experience and highly recommend Ponderosa Heating.

Our technician Spencer was dedicated to getting our gas fireplace working. Some modifications had been made during installation, plus it was a fireplace he had not seen before. He poured over the installation manual and was successful in getting the fireplace going again. He showed us that we have a battery backup that can be used to light our fireplace when the power is out. We were not aware of feature. Spencer was very a very capable technician, so polite, and a joy to have in our home. I highly recommend Ponderosa Heating & Air for service!

The furnace went out at our cabin, and we were without heat. I called Ponderosa and they sent a technician out the same morning! Michael was very personable and thorough, and diagnosed and repaired the issue that day. I was very pleased, and would recommend Ponderosa!!

Absolutely fantastic experience. They arrived on time at the beginning of the time window. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. One fireplace issue was addressed and fixed and the other 2 were serviced. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Cannot recommend Ponderosa heating enough! We had the pleasure of having our boiler give out in the midst of winter. Moe very quickly came to assess the problem. By the next day, Eric, Anthony, and Alex were at our house installing the new, far more efficient boiler. And, by the day after that it was fully installed and good to go. Along with that, everyone at Ponderosa was incredibly professional, kind, and timely. We look forward to continuing to work with Ponderosa.

I've been using Ponderosa Heating and Air for over ten years when it was still owned by Todd. The new owner Moe and his team have continued the great service that Todd established. Our furnace went out and Moe and his team were very clear regarding solutions and worked to get the new install completed quickly in the cold weather. Always appreciate their honest and straightforward approach. Very courteous, explain everything up front, wear shoe coverings (little things like this go a long way in the contractor world of today), and keep a very clean workspace. Highly recommend for your HVAC needs in the Colorado Foot Hills.

my heater stopped working late one evening when it was really cold outside. i tried a couple of things myself but couldn't fix it, so i called for heater repair the next day. i was offered an emergency visit (which was actually pretty affordable), but decided to wait until the regular appointment on monday. the technician, pedro, showed up right on time. he figured out what was wrong in about 20 minutes, and my heater was up and running again in less than an hour and a half. i had tried calling other companies but they couldn't come out for over a week, so i was really glad this company was able to help so quickly. pedro was friendly, professional, and explained everything he was doing. he even had the part i needed ready in his truck, and the price was great. now my home is warm again and i can relax. would definitely use this company again for any furnace or heater repairs.

Had to call on a Saturday for some HVAC help in Conifer. Wayne responded quickly and really knew his stuff. He was friendly, answered all my heating and cooling questions, and worked efficiently. He offered helpful suggestions and got my furnace issue fixed right away. I’d definitely call again! Later, Wayne and his assistant came back to tackle three more HVAC projects. Once again, they were professional, personable, and clearly experts in the field. The work was completed to a high standard, and everything went smoothly. Most recently, Wayne installed a humidifier on my furnace. The whole process was quick—he removed the old equipment, put in the new system, and took the time to explain how everything works and what I need to do for maintenance. Wayne is truly the best HVAC technician around. Highly recommend!

I've trusted this HVAC company in Conifer for several years to take care of the heating and cooling systems in all my properties. They always provide excellent service! we had an older air handler that needed to be moved about 20 feet to make room for finishing our basement. the original setup was a diy job from the previous owner and had badly placed, unsealed ductwork that wasn’t working right. when jerry came to give us a quote, it was clear he really knew what he was doing and cared about making sure everything worked properly. he took the time to check all the ductwork and explained that it wasn’t the right size for good airflow. he suggested removing and replacing it with new ductwork that would be sized correctly. even though the price was a little higher than some other companies, we decided to go with them to get the job done right. we’re so glad we did! the difference in airflow after the new ductwork went in was amazing, and even with our older ac unit, it started right up after being moved and the air felt cooler than before. we also asked jerry about getting a new compressor and handler since our system is a bit older and uses r22 refrigerant, but he was honest and said our current equipment was still in great shape and it wasn’t worth the extra cost to replace it yet. other companies had tried to sell us all new equipment, which would have been a lot more expensive. the whole installation only took two days and the finished work looks very neat and runs much better. jerry and the team worked hard, communicated well, and were very upfront about everything. i would definitely recommend them to anyone needing ac repair or installation. it’s great to find an honest contractor who cares about their work and does things the right way. i would recommend them to friends and plan to use them again.

Pedro came out for the appointment, actually got up into the attic, and took the time to look around carefully. He took photos and explained everything to me in a way that made sense. He was honest about the work needed and the cost. While the price wasn’t the cheapest, the service and transparency really stood out. I checked with a friend who recommended shopping around, and although I found a lower price elsewhere, the details showed that Thermal Balance HVAC Repair was offering more thorough work.
