    **update**
I sold my house (transfer was done in plenty of time) but they keep billing me, and double charged me for the last partial month. Today it shows a recurring payment of some random monthly amount. I keep asking for proof I am off auto pay sent to me, they say they will, but don't. You have to close your bank account to get them to stop. Awful unorganized company!
Solar wasn't working for two months, they said i would get two months credit. That was a lie. No easy answers on how to transfer the panels when I sell the house. Was insulted on the chat with Jesus R.
Use any other solar company but this one.

    UPDATE:

System still down since June with no resolution. I’m paying for a useless system and Sunrun still makes money off me so it’s in their best interest to keep my system down. They refund you credit that’s less than the amount you pay for them to produce the energy so they still win. Absolutely useless local management.

    Original:

Warning: I inherited the solar system from them conning an old woman. Horrible terms that only a clueless boomer would agree it.

When your solar system is down, it takes over a month to fix while you still pay for the system when it’s down.

And when the company does their biannual assessment of how below performance they were, they reimburse you at a lower rate than what they charge you for the lease based on a set rate.

Ridiculous. And their customer support line is useless. They just transfer you or call disconnects

Sunrun was okay to set up and was fine when we had it. However, when we sold our house in April they STILL charge us every… single… month… I have called multiple times, confirmed the new owner has taken over and they are still charging us… highly do not recommend if you ever sell during the 25 year lease.

Everything from start to finish has been terrific with this company. Special shoutouts to sales rep Michael, Project Manager Cira, scheduler Emilio, and installers Ray, Tyler, Carlos, Travis, et al, who did such a beautiful job on this large project (12.4kw). They made it work with our townhome HOA, guided us patiently through the process, paid for a repair on the roof they had certified ready, and are sending a sub to restore the garage drywall they needed to get into. Immaculately clean install, ready for inspection by the city of Broomfield based on the permit they pulled, and PTO from our utility, United Power. Thoroughly satisfying experience.

I wish I could give them a zero. Please be careful. SunRun is the absolute worst company to ever deal with. Run from them! Don't allow them to install solar panels on your house. When I was trying to pay the solar system off it became a nightmare, I couldn't get their associate to answer my phone call, when I did pay it off. They put another UCC lien on my house making another problem for me to close. Everything was terrible with them. They created horrible problems for me to deal with. Everything was finally resolved but not without daily phone calls and hours of needless time wasted and stress. There have got to be better solar companies to deal with. Don't put yourself through this agony.

Some of my neighbors have solar from companies that went out of business and now they don't know who to contact if something goes wrong, so I went with Sunrun because they are going to be around for a long time and I could trust their warranties.
And I'm glad I did! Great people and a great experience! The panels look great and they even painted the conduit which was a nice touch. Carlos and the team were super patient as I bugged them with questions and he educated me on the equipment. The install was super organized and they left my property cleaner than when they arrived.

BEWARE: Avoid SunRun for your solar panel installation at all costs!

If I had done thorough research on this highly unethical company, I would never have chosen SunRun for my solar needs. Their 1.4-star rating on Yelp and numerous negative reviews at the Better Business Bureau would have been a clear red flag. Please read this carefully to understand why.

The first warning sign should have been their contract, which discourages any lawsuits against them. However, a trusted acquaintance recommended them, so we proceeded with SunRun. Immediately after installation, we noticed a section of our home—from the front to the west side—lost power. Upon contacting SunRun, they claimed they would only send an electrician if we could prove the issue was their fault. We hired our own electrician, who discovered that the connectors used during installation were poorly done, and also one wire was poorly seated in one of the breakers causing the problem. At that point, our panels weren’t even connected to Xcel Energy.

When we informed SunRun, their customer service representative, Netika, acknowledged the issue and assured us we’d be refunded for the electrician’s cost by check sent to our home. Despite this promise, we have not received any reimbursement, even though this incident occurred on November 19, 2024.

When we switched to SunRun in December, new problems arose. Our ceiling fan and front porch lights began flickering—an issue we had never experienced in the two years we lived in the house. A technician was sent to inspect the problem but couldn’t identify the cause, stating his supervisor would follow up. Days later, the technician texted that his supervisor insisted we provide proof SunRun was at fault before they’d take any action. Once again, we’re left to cover the costs of hiring another electrician. To make matters worse, their app now shows errors indicating the panels are not producing energy as they should.

I’ve attached pictures, videos, emails, and texts documenting this ordeal. Please think twice before choosing SunRun, and thoroughly research any solar company before allowing them to work on your home. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Going into the third year of our lease and the savings have been around 1/4 of what they predict because they use completely inappropriate metrics to estimate your "savings". We also now have to install a critter guard, which the contract mandates, given our squirrel issue. At our current "savings" level it will take 21 years to recoup the cost of that guard and repair the damage.

Richard was hired through a Contractor who was to finish my basement. Richard was paid in full and he did not complete the work. I have reached out to him over a 9 month span and he has hang up the phone then he blocked my phone number.

We paid Richard for a number of electrical installations in a home renovation in Golden CO
We found out after experiencing electrical issues that he installed a 20A breaker in lieu of a 30A breaker that we paid for. Another electrician believes it may have caused damage to a device we had plugged in. When we brought it to Richards attention he said he would correct and now its 2 months later and we called and texted to follow up and he simply texted back “Im out”. There were two other scope items he was paid for installing, a fan and a mag lock, and he was paid in full but has not completed the work after stating multiple times he would come back. I would not recommend hiring him.

Voltage fluctuations were damaging my appliances and I was worried about safety and their crew installed Surge protection properly which now keeps everything protected.

Called this business for installing security lighting outside. The results are excellent and provide great visibility. Feels much safer now.

Take your name off your van if you are going to drive like a psycho dude. Glad I'm not the first one with this opinion, do better or don't drive when you're so emotional.

Find a reputable electrician. Save yourself the trouble of having to hire another electrician to fix his unsafe hack job.

Absolute nightmare. Unprofessional. We had to hire another electrician to finish his work and correct his mistakes. Stay away from Hardesty Electric.

I have never done a review before, but thought this was worth it.

Showed up late. Was rude when I asked why he was late. Told me he doesnt care. Worked for about 45 min, said he had to get some parts, never came back. I think there was alcohol on his breath at 1030 in the morning.

Had to call another electrician to fix the mess.

I was driving on the road with my blinker on and this guy sped up right when I was about to get over so I slowed down to let him go, I then get over in his lane and he proceeded to brake check me which was very unexpected/unnecessary! He was driving a gold van with this company on the back. This guy is an older man with glasses. If you ever see this guy on the road you better watch out. This is very unprofessional for a guy to do this while I’m assuming he’s on his way to an appointment.

We have a special needs child that figured out how to stick things in our electrical outlets. As soon as we seen him trying this we called Hardesty Electric and he came out immediately and replaced all our outlets with ones with saftey features to keep our child safe. He has also replaced multiple light fixtures, ceiling fans and an oven hood for us. His prices are very fair and his work in incredible. He is our go to Electric!
Thank you Hardesty Electric for helping keep our family safe.
    I recommend 10/10 stars!!

Driving to work and this guy doesnt take turns on a merger. He speeds up then proceeds to cut into my lane. Brake checks me after I go behind him.
You would think that having your business on your car, you would drive with a little more dignity.
Then we pull up to a light and he flicks me off. Old man with glasses.

    Truly a grumpy old man.

RESPONSE: Do you not know how to take turns?
