Home Services reviews in Denver, Colorado

I went here looking for a vine to attract hummingbirds..the man said trumpet vines and all he told me was they can be invasive and nothing else. I went home and looked up care for the plant only to find out they can be toxic to dogs and can be to humans or can cause rashes. I have 5 dogs so i went back less than 48 hrs later and asked if he would exchange or return them. The plants were in pot with their sticker, i had not planted them. His response was.."no because i dont know where the plants been or what was done to them and all are toxic". Not nicely, either. this was the same guy who talked to me less than 48 hours before, and he didn't remember me. So because of his attitude and not being helpful at all and having a business that should help the customer and not be a jerk, im leaving this review. The plants i bought were left in front of their building on the ground. I dont recommend this place what so ever. I would think that if they are going to recommend a plant like that, knowing the person doesn't know anything about the plant and is asking for help , he might tell customer a little about what he is recommending. I'm pretty sure this guy was manager or in management. If i could give a -10 review, i would, just on how the guy handled on this issue. I spent $45 on 2 plants i couldn't use or exchange. I didn't ask for refund first i asked to exchange for a different plant.. so to let other's know, trumpet vines can be toxic to dogs and cats! Nice try.....they came back just like i bought them and YOU know it... funny how all of a sudden you can remember me now that i left a review on you but you didnt rememeber me talking to you about these plants about 36 hours before...this is how you acted to me when i nicely asked for an exchange and I hope people see how this for what it is. Im sure there are nice people there your just not one of them.

Great prices and impressive selection.

I love this shop. Their tomato plants have been great - and I've bought them for the last 5 years. They are walking distance from my house and I make it over there way more often than I should.

super knowledgeable, kind staff, and great prices. this place is a gem! even the dog was helpful!

The owner Jim was very kind and professional to my husband and I. He even honored an expired gift card that was purchased with the previous owners. I really look forward to seeing him build his vision for Elliott Gardens. Prices are fair and the staff are kind.

I found Elliot’s this year after spending a good chunk of change at another local nursery the year prior. I wish I found Elliot’s sooner because they have the same exact plants (sometimes more varieties in peppers & tomatoes) at cheaper prices. Definitely will be coming back next year to stock up on starters for my garden!!!

My spelling isn't the issue . The oweners poor customer service or lack of is . Last year, I bought 6 poblano plants all marked as poblano, 5 of which were bell peppers. This year, I bought 6 more hoping for beautiful poblanos. All 6 were bell peppers.
This year, I bought them hoping there wouldn't be a repeat. That's a lot of money to spend for miss marked.
I mentioned what happened last year, and the owner said then mabe you shouldn't buy them .
I will not be buying plants from them anymore. Very poor customer service.
It's hard to distinguish pepper plants when they are very small. They were miss marked, and thats your fault. -
Rude sent me a certified letter in the mail called them and they hungup on me and gave no details. prob scammers

Luis, the owner of the company is amazing, Along with all of his employees who go way above and beyond!! In my mind, they work much harder than they get paid for. It started out with weekly lawn service, which has been great. And we have transitioned into a new driveway a front walk and Sidewalk that goes all the way to the back patio. He quoted an amazing price. And because they do sprinkler systems, he also rerouted my water spout and my drip system to not conflict with the new sidewalk. I could not be more pleased!! And I would like to say an extra thank you to the two gentlemen who come and do my yard every week!! The one young man who comes with his father, shows you what an amazing work ethic this company (family) has!!
Gracias!!!! I can't wait for next year. They're cutting down some trees for me. Yay
Honestly, I don't think I'll have to hire another company to do another thing around my house ever again. They do it all!! -
Mike, did a great job at my home on March 13 th 2026. Very easy to work with. Thank you. Sammy Wells

He did great! I was distracted with personal issues, and he got right to work on both the front and back yard.

Billy did a great job. Gave me some great info on taking care of the lawn during the dry weather we are experiencing.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY! They do not know how to pay attention to addresses, they spray pesticides without permission on carefully curated yards, and their employees lie!
After being told on an initial incorrect visit to my address that I was the owner, sole occupant, had no pest issue and had not requested their services, the same worker returned just a couple days later and entered my back yard.
I saw him out the window, asked what he was doing, he said he was called back out and that ‘sometimes one spouse didn’t know the other had called’. I reiterated that I was not married, lived alone and this was not the right address, as I had just told him days before. He was standing next to my organic herb garden that I use for cooking and had his sprayer. I asked what he had sprayed and he said he hadn’t started yet.
On his first visit I asked if the address he had was for Broomfield instead of Denver (since I know my Denver address also exists in Broomfield), he insisted not. After this second visit I sent a message through the website (since it seems impossible to get anyone on the phone, I’ve waited over a half hour twice now with no answer in that time).
A manager did call and apologized and confirmed this worker should have been in Broomfield and not Denver. I explained how upsetting it was to me that he came onto my property when I had just told him I had not requested work from his company and while the first time I could consider a mistake, a second time to me is blatant disregard and negligence.
After the call, I found a sign from this company in my easement area that said “pesticides applied”. I have never once sprayed chemicals or pesticides on my property. I have a bird feeder in this easement area that birds and squirrels eat from and I have made my yard very intentionally a pollinator friendly zone.
I have now sent two more messages on two different days asking to have a manager contact me back, stating that I have a right to know what and where they sprayed on my property. I am worried that since this employee obviously lied to me in stating he had not started spraying anything yet, that perhaps my herb garden got sprayed and is no longer safe for consumption.
No one has reached back out. I can’t trust to eat from my organic herb garden that I have so carefully planted and tended and bought organic soil for. My carefully planted and tended pollinator friendly yard is now probably toxic to our poor pollinators who we need so badly with the abundant use of chemicals and pesticides, and my birdseed that feeds critters might now be killing them, all because an employee of this company returned to the wrong address a second time and sprayed without permission and no one will contact me back to help me understand what can and can’t be trusted in my yard. I feel scared just to get out and pull weeds because I have no idea what product they used or how dangerous it could be for me to work around and for how much time I would have to avoid it.
This is not acceptable. Do not give this company your money. Find someone else that knows how to read addresses and not spray properties without permission, even more so, after explicitly having been told they should not be there! -
Great service. Very friendly and informative.

Mite treatment. Steve was professional and thorough covering all areas quickly.

Ambrosia treated our ash trees for ash borer this morning. She also helps educate me. Today she shared what minor mite damage and desiccation from drought looked like in a blue spruce tree. I always appreciate great communication about when they are sending someone out way ahead of time weather permitting and other communication.

He didn’t close my gate fully. 2nd time.
